So is it possible to tell iSync to only make changes to the device

I have been going through much agony trying to sync:
My address book
Google contacts
iPod Touch
Motorola L6
(I wanted to even try my Blackberry but that may be asking too much)
Everything seems to work more or less okay until I bring in the Motorola. When using iSync it seems to make modifications to my contacts on my computer by deleting phone numbers so that my contacts remain but have no data.
So is there a way to sync so that my address book remains unmolested but only my phone is updated??

I'm having issues with isync too.
I'm not quite clear how to change the syncing preferences: i.e. _who has authority?_, if I've made changes on my Ipod how do I make the changes go on the computer and not the computer rewrite the ipod contacts or calendar… and vice versa (I use both the tower and the laptop sited below and the ipod Touch).
I've recently (last w-e) upgraded the system to 10.5.6, and took that opportunity to ditch entourage and migrate to Ical, mail and calendar (which is somehow traumatic enough, I've lost 6 months of calendar, but never mind that). Hoping that it would simplify my syncs (also because I used to try to sync my nokia 6110 Navigator and that was just catastrophic).
so my question would be more :
where and how do you changes the preferences for Isync? also I'm test-driving mobile-me and the same issue prevails if I've made changes say on The G5, i upload them to MobileMe, then I download them to the laptop. but if I'm on site, then it's the other way round (laptop> to g5, either via Ipod or via Mobile me)
Basically I'm a bit confused, and i haven't found clear answers via Help in isync or on the apple website, if any syncing pro out there wants to chip in, that would be greatly appreciated!

If you mean the correspondence, you have to change the configuration in Financial Accounting -> AR and AP -> Business Transactions -> Outgoing Invoices -> Carry Out abd Check Settings for Correspondence. There, you need to assign your custom Program or Layout for the Correspondence Type (like SAP19) and Program.
If you mean the display layout in transaction FB03, You can change a few settings, mainly with BKPF and BSEG fields. I don't think you can add company address, though.

Is it possible to store data collected in a form when the device is offline?

I am trying to figure out if this is possible. I want to collect email addresses via an interactive PDF when offline. ie. have a text field and submit button which would save the data to the pdf or an associated data file - txt/csv etc? Is this possible or just wishful thinking? as an alternative, is it possible to have the PDF send the data once it reaches an internet connection.
I have a feeling I am asking too much of the multitalented PDF on this occasion.

If you are using FormsCentral Web form then, no. You could use a FormsCentral PDF form; however, you will have to save each PDF form that people fill out locally (with a different filename) and then when you are online open each form and submit the responses.

You can have more than one application accessing a DAQ board at a time but not for the same type of process, such as analog input. I tried a setup where one program was accessing analog input channel 1 and a separate program was accessing analog input channel 2. Only one program would run at a time. However, you can have an analog input program and a separate analog output program accessing the same board running at the same time.

I was thinking of partitioning 50/50 - one for Time Machine and the other for important files.

Of course you can.
Open Disk Utility and format the drive as a Mac OS X Extended (Journaled). After that you can partition the drive. Each partition can then be formatted, erased and repaired individually.
HOWEVER - please note that it is not advisable to run Time Machine and other important files from the same physical drive! If the drive fails, you lose all the data on it. Hard disks are cheap and I suggest you always have a backup of inportant data on another drive. Hard drives WILL fail, it is just a question of time!

I seem to have intermittent, severely limited access to the internet at times.
Is it possible to tell if a particular program running in the background is either downloading or scanning or "online" in some manner...?
Is it possible on a Mac to see how much bandwidth, memory, cpu cycles, etc. particular programs are taking...in a window similar to that which opens on a PC after pressing CTRLALTDEL ?

Your MacBook can not be upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion. Snow Leopard is the highest possible for that model.

I had the same thing happen to one of my posts. If a moderator edits a post, the least they can do is note the fact it's been edited, who performed the edit, and the date/time of the edit.

Here's a slightly simpler version.
(Depending how you want to process the output, you might not need to traspose and/or reverse. Boolean to 0,1 works directly on the 2D array if needed )

Remove the old and new plugins, delete the device in iSync, then re-install the new one. Finally setup the phone again from scratch via the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, accessed via the Bluetooth system preferences pane.

through OBD4 (G/L Account Group - change field status) i have suppressed the Commitment item field status as well as in OBC4 (Field status variants) suppressed the commitment item field status.
but when i tried to post accounting doc to other expense account which has the suppressed commitment item settings, system still asking for commitment item.
the error message is "No commitment item entered in item 00001 xxxx xxxxxxxx"
using FMDERIVE and maintain the account accordingly, no more error comes.
question:
- does it mean the commitment item (CI) check control designed at Company / Controlling area level?
- is it possible to tell the system asking the CI entry for particular account only?

thanks for the input.
with PSM-FM is activated along with its relevant settings, the posting to accounting transaction requires commitment item.
hence, for non-budget relevant account i created separate commitment item (non budget purpose) with suitable Comm. Item Category & Finance Trans. and maintain the derivation.
it gave me the expected result for checking budget in particular account.
