So is the cloud the only way to get Light room and most recent edition of PS?

I am thinking of updating my PS(I have cs3) but seems the only way to get it thru adobe where my license is verified is thru the cloud. When did this start? If I can load the app to my computer what stops me from continuing to use it after i quit the cloud? Can I not get older versions of PS and LR thru adobe anymore as a stand aline product?

If I can't back up to a disc like I used to, can I instead just keep everything on my ipod and then if I have to get a new computer or something just download all my songs from the ipod to my new computer's itunes? Will that work? Will I still be able to keep all my songs that way?

I'm going to assume the consolidating files does not work due to hard drive space limitations.
Since you're moving to Windows 7, have you tried using the Windows files and settings transfer utility? That will move everything for you to the same location on the new computer, it also allows some control over what actually gets moved.
Alternatively, if you know the location of all of the media, it can be manually moved by copying it from the old computer to the new computer in the same location.
Also, using the Apple article on moving the library, take a slight twist on what it says. Move the iTunes library to the external drive, update the settings in iTunes to reflect the library being on the external drive, then consolodate it.
The options are endless for moving the library... it simply takes a little effort to make it happen and possibly a twist on existing "standard" methods depending on your unique situation.

I want my money back and I want it now. Why doesn't apple have a phone number for urgent account problems? i got an overdrawn fee from my bank, I checked the transactions and found apple iTunes charged me 11 times in one day with the total amount being over $170.00!!!!! The only purchases I made that day were a few $1.29 inapp purchases. How do I get my money back??? And why don't they have a phone number you can contact. This is an urgent problem because not only have they charged me over $170 & Ive got a $30 overdrawn fee there are MORE transactions from apple on my bank account that are "pending". These transactions are of a similar amount & they are not for anything I have purchased! i have been forced to cancel my credit card to stop apple from doing anymore but I want my money back!

Thanks but unfortunately I don't have that option (I'm im Australia) so this will be day 8 that apple have my money without authorisation. The amount has now increased due to the transactions that were pending prior to me cancelling my credit card. The total is now over $300 including the overdrawn fee. It is beyond comprehension that a company the size of apple doesn't have a *real* customer service dept that handle these types of *real* problems immediately via phone contact but I guess that's the point isn't it? If we want to use the apps they provide thru their services and devices we have no choice but to put up with their primitive third world service. Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

1. Reset the PRAM.
2. Reset the SMC.
3. Trash a preference file (com.apple.bluetooth.plist) and restart.

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

What is your actual speed (speedtest.net)?

Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both ends.
Try disconnecting the cable and connecting it again.
Try another HDMI cable.
Make sure your TV supports 720p (Apple TV 2)
Try the Apple TV with another TV

I restored it on I tunes as well did something on the phone. The lastest seems to have helped it but I haven't used it much yet! Thanks for the help & I'll let you know!

Airport is the trade name Apple uses for WiFi. The Mac built-in WiFi hardware is called Airport. The Apple manufactured WiFi base station(s) router are called Airport Extreme and Airport Express (the Apple Time Capsule is also a WiFi base station/router).
A Mac can connet to other manufactures WiFi base stations.
You can also connect to a WiFi bridging device via ethernet and get WiFi access that way, although BDAqua's suggestion of a USB WiFi device might make more sense if it is a Mac laptop.
If you are NOT talking about WiFi, and perhaps talking about using the cell phone cellular network, then you can use Bluetooth to pair your Mac with a cell phone that has the ability to act as a cellular modem for your Mac, you can get a MiFi device that acts as a local WiFi base stations and connects to the Cellular network, and you can get cellular USB devices that can provide cellular connections for the Mac.
