So its going back for the whine, interestering note.

I had a few issues that the guy took down and supposedly input into the report on my problem, static on boot up, heat related crashing, techtools deluxe failing the video ram test.
Anyways I just reade my confirmation email. and it says

Does this mean that they are aware of the CPU Idel whine as well and fixing it now?

I found the "Unusually noisy: CPU/Unit"
the most interesting, since people had the screen whine fixed but the processor Idel whine had been downplayed as normal or at least that was the opinion I had formed from reading forums. When I complained about the screen birghtness issue it showed up as that.

    I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
    (i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
    i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
    i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.

    Anyone have any suggestions? or is everyone else just as clueless as me !

    Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

    but I suspect your going to first have to create a data recovery drive
    Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
    to get your data off the machine,
    then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

    thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option.     Under Network Preferences, select the WiFi
    click on "Advanced..." button
    Select the network you want to delete from the list and click on "-"
    Click "Ok"
    Click "Apply"

    You may also want to delete the wireless key from Keychain.
    Open Keychain, seach for the old wifi network name, slect it and click delete

    And today it won't even read my camera's sd card, and I try with 2 different ones. If I restart the computer, leaving the memory card in, then it reads it; but if I pull it out and push it back in it doesn't see it. Whath am I doing wrong, if anything?

    Where/how are you trying to change the name? If it is in Finder (after you've downloaded the pics to your desktop), highlight the pic icon and press Return. the name field will change and you can type in your new name. Hit Return again. That should make it "stick".  If you're trying to do it elsewhere, please post the steps that you've tried.
    As for your card: do you eject it properly? Either drag icon to trash or hit the eject symbol in the sidebar?
