So many errors trying to download...going insane!

HI,
I upgraded to itunes 7 and am having nothing but heartache. First, I was having so many problems with my external hard drive, so I disconnected it. Then, I asked itunes to download the 2nd season of Lost, and am having the worst time getting it to download. Here is a list of my problems.
1. Itunes does not download the episodes in order.
2. Itunes downloads for several hours, then gives me a "File seems to be corrupted" number 100008 message, and I lose any amount of the episode I have already downloaded.
3. After a long time, it will say the network connection is lost and stop the download or will simply say the downloading "was interrupted"
I never had these problems with the previous version of itunes and it is driving me crazy. Any suggestions? Is there a way to tell itunes to keep trying to download automatically, even after losing a network connection? Any idea about the corrupted file, or how to get it to download in order? I have spent many hours on this, and have only managed to get it to download 3 shows (out of 30). Grrr.

I, too, have bought and paid for several tracks in the iTunes Store which have not downloaded - all with the same error message.
"zero KB of 0.1 KB - stopped (err = - 100008)"
"There was a problem downloading "track/album/artist".
The file seems to be corrupted. To redownload the file, choose "Check for Purchases" from the Store Menu"
This doesn't work - I have tried it numberous times - over a few weeks for some tracks. The tracks affected are;
- The Nutcracker, Op. 71: Overture / The Nutcracker Overture - Single of the Week / St Petersburg Kirov Orchestra & Valery Gergiev
- Patience / Patience - Single / Take That
- Roots In Stereo / P.O.D.: Greatest Hits (The Atlantic Years) / P.O.D.
- Walk In The Sun / Motion in the Ocean / McFly
- Shoulda Woulda Coulda / Who I Am / Beverley Knight
Other tracks I have downloaded have been fine.
There are also a couple of tracks my mother paid for on her iTunes account for me that have had exactly the same thing happen to them. They are;
- And Thou Bethlehem / The Nativity Story (Original Motion Picture Score) / Mychael Danna
- Mind's Eye (10th Anniversary Version / Jesus Freak - 10th Anniversary Special Edition / DC Talk
- The Nutcracker, Op. 71: Overture / The Nutcracker Overture - Single of the Week / St Petersburg Kirov Orchestra & Valery Gergiev
All other tracks downloaded from this account too have been fine.
Any time I check for purchased music they all pop up, then I have to clear the error - and it's irritating. Also, I have paid for them - over £5 worth over the two accounts now - and would (funnily enough) like to receive the things wot I 'ave bought.
I sent a message to this effect to iTunes support and, eventually, received the following in reply;

No joy yet, I'm afraid - as my most recent missive shows;
Only one of the tracks you have reset worked. The rest are coming up with exactly the same message. Unfortunately, the one that worked is the wrong version of the song - the one I was downloading is;

In answer to your other points;
I have the most recent version of iTunes.
My antiviral software isn't obstructing iTunes downloads, as the vast majority are fine. I did, however, try turning it off and redownloading. No joy.
My computer is not networked.
None of the articles helped - and I couldn't find a mention of error 100008 on the support site.
This is true of both the accounts affected.
I had identical problems while in Scotland over Christmas, and was using my MacBook's airport to join my mother's wireless broadband connection (probably aol, not sure).

    Firstly, please turn off your Caps lock. It is considered shouting in forums.
    Secondly, please explain your exact issue and wheteher or not you can see your purchase in the App Store and if you are using the same Apple ID to reinstall it with as you used to purcase it with.

  • Error Trying to Download Maverick

    I am running Lion 10.75  (on an imac) and am trying to upgrade to Maverick.  When I go to the APP store and try to download it the download appears starts and then part way through (as much as 25% complete) I get an error msg. from the APP store saying :
    The Application could not be downloaded.  
    The application you tried to download could not be downloaded. Check your internet connection and try again.
    There is a retry button but each time I try it the retry fails with essentially the same msg.  
    My internet conncetion is working without a problem.   I have lots of space on my hard drive and my OS has all updates applied. 
    Any idea how to get around this?

    What download speed do you get on your internet connection.   Check it out.  If it isn't too fast and taking into account that it is a Sunday afternoon, a time when many people are downloading movies for the evening, it could simply be down to that.
    If it appears that may be the case, call your provider and ask.   Such a big download is best carried out late at night.

    I've been trying to download OMWB for the last 4 days, from Oracle Migration Workbench Downloads / Release 9.2.0.1.2 for Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000/XP page.
    Keep getting 'Cannot find server' and 'Page cannot be displayed' errors in Internet Explorer.
    Is this the correct URL:

    I downloaded and used the previous version of OMWB. Was very satisfied with it. Unfortunately, I had to rebuild my hard drive and lost OMWB.

    I suggest that you retry, maybe there was some network glitches... If you follow the links from OTN you should be able to download no problems. Did you try the split downloads as an alternative?

  • Error 416 and im going insane

    I have tried numerous time to get any of my creative cloud programs to install and it downloads fine and then throws a 416 error check with support when trying to install.
    On the support page it suggest i look through the log file to see what went wrong but there isnt one at all. I have scanned the whole pc for any *.log.gz files and can only see the ones from a year ago when i installed cs5.
    I have tried running as administrator, changing the path in adobe download manager, redownloading adobe download manager.
    PC is running windows 7 (64bit).
    I am hoping someone can help as this is sending me around the bend

    Error 416 may indicate that the Adobe Application Manager is having problems resolving the address of the server it is trying to download from.  Are you using OpenDNS or any type of software firewall or security software?
    I would also recommend that you continue with reviewing your installation logs.  You can find directions on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

    hello, I'm fairly new to BI Publisher and every time I select the "Template Builder", it starts to download, but it never finishes. I continue to receive the error msg "Installation directory is corrupt, could not find uninstaller: XMLPReportingTools4WordSetup.msi!" Could anyone assist with this issue?

    Did anyone fix this issue? I am getting the same issue while trying to remove the old version through control panel nor installing BI publisher.

  • Errors trying to download iOS 5.1 to iPad1

    If I connect up to USB and iTunes to perform the download and install, I keep getting a connection error that says the network connection could not be established.
    I get a similar error when I try to download the update over WiFi.
    Haven't had any issues before trying to do an update in the past.
    Any ideas?

    Just found this fix from another post: 
    Make a temporary update to your DNS settings go to:
    SYSTEM PREFERENCES>NETWORK>ADVACED>DNS
    change DNS by adding ( + )
    208.67.222.222
    then
    208.67.220.220
    click okay/apply after. then try the update. after the update, just delete the two open DNS server numbers. should revert back to your old one.

    I had the same thing, and it also happoened with the last update too.
    Try it again, and as soon as the download begins, close your iTunes.
    I had to do this today and I then had a successful download and update.

    There's no other details in the message. I go through the whole deal... Purchased --> [Family Sharing Member] --> Music --> [Song]... It starts downloading and it does partially download the file but then come up with "Error, cannot download at this time." But "at this time" is always. I've tried removing myself family sharing and then setting it up but no success, getting the same problem.

  • Authentication error trying to download and open a book from my library using Windows 8 on my Surface2 tablet.

    When I chose ePUB as the download option for books from my library, the Overdrive Media Console application times out and locks up.  I get an Authentication error saying unable to open.  Then, I am unable to return to books to try another download option as the item did not successfully open using the Adobe Reader Digital Rights Management.

    and activate with your serial number.
    if you have a dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps. typically, a failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem.
