So my iMessage and FaceTime isn't working its telling me that my password or email is wrong but it lets me sigh into iTunes. Is there something I can to fix it or no??

I got a Ipod touch last Christmas and showed my friends. As it became more popular i saw that more people including my friends could Facetime and imessage. I tried this and found that mine did not work as when I tried to send a message it said Message Send Failure Not Delivered then I tried the Facetime and it said facetime failed. After installing Mountain Lion, iMessages and Facetime does not work. When I try to sign-in I get a message that says: The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later. After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.
During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.I had the same problem and found the solution here:

Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:

I had an iphone 4s and it worked nice with facetime and imessage using my phone number but it was stolen on December so I buy a new iphone 4s using the same cellphone number but now imessage and facetime does not work with my number, it only works with my apple ID. (The person that has one) I could send one to myself but that was it. Now it won't do that anymore. I have tried and tried and changed my password three times.
Still nothing. What do I do and how can I get it to iMessage and FaceTime my friends. Because honestly this is getting to be a headache.

XoXoSmiles54What I had to was backup my device's data to either iCloud or iTunes. Once it was backed up I erased all of my settings as if my iPad just came out of the box. You set it up again and it will asked you to either start as new, back up from iTunes, or back up from ICloud. If you want to see if everything works you can set up as new, otherwise just pick the choice depending on where you backed up your information. Eventually it will restore all of your information and your iMessage and FaceTime should be working. It worked for me, if you'd like more/better instructions let me know!!

My iMessage and Facetime won't work..Messages weren't sending and whenever I call someone using Facetime, it always says 'Failed'. I'm quite ****** with it. Someone know what to do????
I guess I will be the one to ask the obvious question...does the one recieving the messages have ios5?
I have tried to sens messages to other iProducts and they wouldn't go through...turns out they didn't have ios5.
