  • Iphone5c cracked and inner screen not working havent had it for a year

my phone fell and cracked i was using it like that and then one day i was trying to unlock the screen now it wont unlock. i havent had it for a year i had it for like 2-3 months. does anyone kno what they will say or do if i take it too the apple store?

Apple will say that you have a damaged iPhone and that they'll take care of it for you, though not for free. If you have AppleCare+ coverage, you will pay only the "deductible"; check the terms for your plan. In most cases it's US $79. If you do not have AppleCare+ on your iPhone, Apple in some countries will now replace screens on the iPhone 5C for US $149. Availabllity of repair services may vary by country and by Apple Store, so call Apple Support or visit an Apple Store and ask for information. If Apple will not offer screen replacement service at an Apple Store in your area, or if there are problems beyond just the screen, they will replace the entire iPhone. See:
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/
There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to do the repair for less than Apple's out-of-warranty charge. Do a web search for "iPhone repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPhone serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty and support from Apple will be voided.
    Regards.

  • Frozen iphone lock button broke

I was trying to reset my iphone 4 and it froze. And my lock button is broke so I can't turn it off and back on to cancel it. Will my iphone eventually die? What should I do.

Take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider for advice how to proceed.

I've got an iPhone 4s that has been dropped and it damaged the logic board , I've only had it about 7 month what can I do?

You can do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple for $199 USD, or $49 if you purchased AppleCare +

  • My iPhone 4 lock button broke, will Apple fix/replace it for free under the one year warranty?

I've had my iPhone 4 for just under a year now and a couple weeks ago the lock button broke. At first, it was just difficult to press down and now it's just completely stuck. I've been using the assistive touch but it's kind of a hassle. I still have a few days left of my one year warranty, so if I went to the Apple Store would they fix/replace my phone for free or would I have to pay? Also, I was having issues with my speakers previously so I went to get it fixed and they said my phone has water damage and I would need to pay to fix it. Will the water damage effect them fixing my lock button too or is it different? Any advice/guidence is greatly appreciated!

If there is water damage then they will likely conclude that your issues are a result of that and you will have to pay.
But don't ask us, ask them. We're users and this have no idea what Apple will say in your case.

  • My iPhone lock button is not working

my iphone lock button is barely working what should i do?

Thank you for the advice for the lock screen, although useful it does not solve the problem of the buttons not working, really Apple should fix this even though it's over the 12 months, I have had many Iphones now but I've had many problems with them like buttons and screens, I am now going to get one of many other phones that are now as good as Apple Iphone If not better, Apple will be getting old now and competition is much higher , time to move on to the future of better phones )

  • My lock button broke a while ago on my phone, and two minutes ago my screen just went black. my phone didn't die because it was on 80%, i don't know what happened. any ideas on how to turn it back on or what happened?

my lock button broke a while ago on my phone, and two minutes ago my screen went comletely black. it was simply placed on my table. i know it didn't die because it was on 80%, but any ideas on how to turn it back on or what happened to my phone?

If plugging it into power doesn't cause it to power back on, you're going to have to make an appointment at the genius bar and get it serviced.

Failure of that button requires a complete replacement of the device.

  • I just bought a new iPhone 5 today and the Ambient light sensor is not working. What can i do?

I just bought a new iPhone 5 today and the Ambient light sensor is not working. What can i do?

Ambient light sensors are not always perfect in their function. To test, go into darkened room, with screen OFF, Locked, tap Home button. Look at screen it should be normal for use in darkened room, turn on bright lights, the screen should brighten to help compensate. If your iPhone does not do this, then Restore iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

  • My iphone 4 is stalling a lot. I've had it for a year now, I have the most current OS, it's not too full of apps, or anything like that. Many times throughout the day, I cannot switch from app to app, unless I do a complete power-off. Any ideas?

I've had it for a year now.
I have the most current OS. I snyc it to my itunes 2-3 times a week. It is only about 25% full. It stalls (I don't know if I would call it freezing) between trying to switch from app to app. I either have to let it sit there for a few minutes, or turn it all the way off and turn it back on.
And yes, I know to press the home button twice to get the bottom part activated. That's not working. I'm not sure if this is a common thing, or what with iphone 4's.
    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks for that information!
I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!
