SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1-Excel defaults number to Exponential notation

Hi,
We have a report which will trigger an email with an excel attachment.
We are using the FM u2018SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1u2019.
If a column have numbers more than 9 digits, it is displayed with an exponential notation in the excel file .
We want the column to be displayed with out exponential notation.
Is there any parameter in the function module which will prevent this from happening?
Regards,
Charumathi Balachandran

Hi Leela,
Thanks for your reply.
Our customer don't want to do any formatting in excel.
They want the excel file to be displayed with out exponential notation by default.

Charumathi

  • How to change Default number of rows displayed in a Briefing Book

    Hi,
We have a requirement to deliver a dashboard containing 7 dashboard pages to the business users.
To achieve this, I have created a briefing book by adding all the required dahboard pages and scheduled an agent to deliver the briefing book in PDF format. However, the briefing book delivered by the agent shows only 25 rows for all the analysis (reports) included in the dashboard pages.
I have already made the following settings:
    1. At the report level, edited the table view property to show 150 Rows Per page.
    2. At the dashboard page level, edited the PDF and Print properties to Print All Rows.
    3. Edited the instanceconfig.xml file to include the following tag under <Table> tag: <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>15000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
Please advise if there is any setting which can help in increasing the default number of rows in a Briefing Book (OBIEE 11.1.1.3).
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sumit

    Hi,
This is a bug in 11.1.1.3
Bug 12671370 - BRIEFING BOOKS DO NOT SHOW ALL ROWS
As a workaround, you may want to click on the "Display Maximum(500) rows per page" button on the dashboard page before you download to Briefing books. This will work for reports with less than 500 rows.

  • Changing the default number of rows displayed in a interactive report

    Hi,
I have a sql query based interactive report but i cant change the default number of pages i.e 15.
is there any way to change the number of rows displayed.
    Thank you,
    rakesh

    Hi,
That was very useful document that you shared, yes that is correct we can so it this way but there is another way doing it where in if you go to the report attribute section and in that there is Layout and Pagination and under
that you can fix the number of rows, and over there we can also accept values from page item such as if the page item value changes the number of rows displayed in the report changes dynamically.
In my report i get only pagination but not a option for layout.
    Any help will be appreciated.
And also where i can get the links to the similar document that you have shared ?

  • How to set default number of records shown in an interactive report table?

How can I set the default number of rows shown on an interactive report?
The default seems to be 15, I can't find where this can be changed.

    Hi John,
When you're logged into the development interface, run the page with the IR. Set the rows from 15 to 5 (for example) and click "GO". Now click on the Actions Menu icon (the green gear), click "Save Report". "Save as: As default report settings". Click Apply and your rows will be set.

  • Any1 aware of a function module to convert a number in exponential form

any1 aware of a function module to convert a number in exponential form to normal form...
    eg... a no. like 8.00000000000004E-01
                     8.88888888888884E-01
    and
    a no. like 1.50000000000000E+00
               9.44444444444442E-01

I think you can just move from type F to type p.
    p =  f .

  • Set Default Number Indentation in a List Pages

I have pages '09 and the default Number Indentation is 0.5in. For the work that I do I believe that this wastes a huge amount of space. I was wondering if there is a way to change the default value to 0.25in, because I do not want to have to change it every time.

    Create your own list style.
You can change the indent for each level in:
Inspector > Text > List > Bullets > Numbering > Number Indent > Text Indent
When you are happy with these save them as a List Style:
Menu > View > Show Styles Drawer > List > click on down triangle > Create New List Style from Selection > Name: > OK
and apply that to your lists.

  • How to input a number of scientific notation in equations

On new version of Numbers, I try to input a equation, such as "=A1 x 6.02E+23" , but I cannot input the equation, because "E" regarded as "columnE".
Please tell me how to imput a a number of scientific notation in equations.

You can override the parser using escape. This might be new to version 3.2, I don't remember it in 3.0 or 3.1. It used to override it until you hit Enter, then it would revert back into a cell reference. Now it is working correctly.
    = A1*6.02E (then hit ESC) 23
    The result will be
    =A1×6.02E+23

  • Nokia E52 - Default number not working on Firmware...

    Hi,
Just bought Nokia E52. When I select  default number among some number for a contact, it still asks me to choose number while calling or sending a message. Sometime it asks, and sometime it does not.
When will we get a fix for this ?
    Regards,
    Tamour

This is a classic problem on these new FP2 phones. I had the same problem with my N96.
You'll need to have a memory card inserted for this and you'll have to re-populate your contact groups afterwards, but the solution is to go into your contacts and then:
    Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark all
Options > Copy business card > To other memory > memory card
This exports a bunch of VCF files to the memory card.
Next, delete all the contacts from your address book
    Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark all
    Press 'C' and confirm.
Now re-import the contacts from the memory card:
Options > Copy business card > From other memory > memory card
This will re-import all your contacts and it will now be possible to assign defaults.

  • APEX Interactive Reports - Default number of records

With the new version of APEX (3.1.2) Interface Reports are available. This is a very nice functionalilty.
The problem is that the default number of records are put to 15.
Is it possible to put the default to 1000 for all users?
    Thanks for all the input
    Toon Schilder

    Roel,
Thank you for the quick reply.
    The problem is as follows:
In stead of manually updating page for page I would like to update the default of 15 to 1000 for all users for all pages.
Of course if for some reason for one page it should be 500 I can use your method (save to default report settings).
    Is there a solution?
    Kind regards,
    Toon

  • Default number of pixels of a cursor

Hi, I have a question about the a lab view program written on IMAC. I placed the cursor on the image and it will analyze an area centered around the cursor. I want to know whether there is a default number of pixels for that area centered around the cursor. Thanks!

    Hello,
I'm not sure which image and cursor you're referring to here.  If
    this
is a built application that is running on the machine, and that
application was written to do image  analysis, then you'd probably
want to consult with the person who created the application.  If
you could post back with some more details about what you're asking, we
might be able to help you out a bit more.  Also, this IMAC of
which you speak, is this an Apple iMac computer, or are you possibly
using our image acquisition (IMAQ) tools in the program?

  • Default number of cores

    Hi all:
I have a quick question, would you happen to know the default number of cores that are synthesized for the OpenSparc, say when using XST (via the rxil script)? I noticed that the user can define RTL_SPARC0 until RTL_SPARC7 to change the number of cores. I did a search and it seems like this macro was not defined, unless I did something wrong. Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,

We simply use VSS to allow end users to easily recover documents they have accidentally changed or deleted. We have a failover site with replication plus regular DPM backups. Wouldn't rely upon VSS as a backup solution!
    Cheers, Rob.
you would be surprised at how many do.
I use a BD drive to backup and archive documents, so even malware cannot tamper with them.
