SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 : How to use it to support multibyte

Hi -,
I am using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send excel file as an attachment . I am able to submit in the excel file with both english & russian characters. But when i am recieving the same file in output, english characters are looking fine. But multibyte characters (russian , japanses...) are coming as junk.
Do i need to do any additional setting.
Are there any SAP NOTES to be implemented for this F.M to support multibyte?
Any helpful solutions will be highly appreciatable.

Anyone has idea how to use the MS GSM encoding and decoding support in JMF.
As Microsoft GSM is different from the standard GSM 6.10, however, JMF can both read and write MS-GSM coded file (in .wav wrapper). Here I would like to know whether it is possible to have real-time encoding and decoding in MS GSM format?
This is very important for me as I need to use PocketPC for live audio streaming and it only support microsoft GSM coding.

I'm writing an application which listens to a GSM 06.10 audio stream from a multicast socket.
The application that sends the audio is written in C++ and I don't manage to find the correct parameters for JMF to be able to decode it...
Here is the C++ code that encodes the audio :

How to use GarageBand to learn guitar

I'm just getting started learning guitar using Stefan Grossman's instructional DVDs. I was wondering if anyone has a tip or two for how to use GarageBand to support the learning process.

Garageband can help in several ways. Here are some tricks...
Get a mic and record yourself to see how consistent you are with tone and timing.
Drag an mp3 file for one of the songs you are performing into garageband and set up the project with the correct bpm. Use arrangetrack to break the song into sections (i.e. intro, verse, chorus, outro etc). Turn on the metronome so you can time yourself. Focus on a section at a time and turn on looping as you record. Initially drop the bpm to 50% and increase by 10% when you mastered each bpm level. Keep recording takes until you nail it and save your best take. Eventually you will reach 100% bpm and have excellent takes for each section of the song. Be consistent in your set up and mike placement so each section sounds the same and the entire song is a masterpiece. Learn rhythm first and get a solid rhythm track. Then add a track for melody and if your really gutsy go for some harmony on top of it all. Finally export your final song to iTunes and listen to yourself. Let friends hear it as well. Youll be surprised what kind of quality you can produce and the feedback you get will be great/

The internet is overflowing with tutorials on PSE. Just google what you want and include Photoshop Elements 4 as part of your search term, or go to the library and they may have several different books on PSE 4. For PSE 4, you won't find a mac specific book, but that doesn't matter because the editor is the same on either program. Just substitute Command for Ctrl and Option for Alt in the keystrokes, and ignore anything about the organizer.

I keep getting an error message that says the safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar. how do I fix it?

Everytime I open my imac I get an error message that says: "We're sorry but the Safari browser version your are currently using does not support the community toolbar." I can't see where it affects anything else, but getting an error message on an imac, just doesn't seem right, ya know? How can I get rid of the message.

Apparently an add-on named Community Toolbar was installed at one time, and is causing the problem. To get rid of it, quit Safari, then throw away these files -

Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg

Note - if you are using Lion, the Library folder in your home folder (user name folder) is hidden. To get into it, in Finder open the Go menu; with that menu open, press and hold the Option key. That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
/Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
Library/Application support/conduit plugins

Answer myself.
It was possible using System.getProperty().
In case of supporting a FileConnection,
Return value of System.getProperty("microedition.io.file.FileConnection.version")
should be "v1.0" or similar value.

How to use B540P HDMI in? Lenovo tech support was not helpful

I just bought a B540P all in one which has HDMI in/out connections. However there is no description in user manual on how to use it. I was hoping to connect an old desktop computer to the HDMI in, and use the all in one as an LCD monitor for my old desktop. Is this doable? How? I assume with the HDMI in, I can connect it with any HDMI sources, such as a DVD player or a game machine. Can anyone help me?
I called Lenovo tech support line, and got no help from them. Basically they have no idea, and told me this is the first time they heard of this question.

I really sorry to hear that our supprt team has not been as helpful as we do expect better from our support centres. I'll see what I can do to address this situation to ensure the the support teams are equipped for the future.
However regards to your issues the B540 is equipped to have the HDMI to either use it as and internal or external source. What you need to to do is ensure that your desktop is connected with the HDMI cable and connect it to the HDMI-IN input on the back of the B540P. Powerup the the B540P as well as your Desktop. Once the B540P is loaded, you will then need to switch the display. (See illustration below)
If you not notice on the B540p, on the left there is a symbol with arrows circling each other. (Described in red cicle above). press that to flip the view from the B540p desktop and your connected to HDMI desktop.

If being to RC the devices is a requirement, then you won't currently be able to use iOS devices. On the other hand based on past experience with Windows based devices, I'm not sure the plus of RC capability is worth the possible negatives that have plagued Windows based devices in the past. I'd do some serious suitabilitly testing before I went forward in a major way. The bottom line is general supportability by IT and usability by end users. RC, while nice, in my mind and at our organization isn't a requirement. Your CEO may feel differently.

How to use .MKV and .ISO with Premiere Pro? They are not supported.

Hi all. My brother in-law sent us two .mkv videos and a DVD .iso he wants me to use in a video I am cutting for him. The only trouble is, I've no idea how to get them into a format PremPro can handle.
I've searched and the only solutions I have found are infinitely complicated for me. Avisynth is certainly beyond me.
Anyone know of a way to convert .mkv (info lists 942x720 H.264 4:2:0 YUV MPEG4 AVC) into something useable?

Can anyone explain how to use VLC to transcode? The settings are endless and NONE look correct. Everything is about coverting and shrinking and that is not what I want.
I have looked into this so many times and cannot find how to do it. I know it must be simple, but clearly I am blind.
What I need is to take whatever is inside that stupid MKV wrapper and extract it. Transcode it. I have been trying for A YEAR now and have never been able to find a solution.
I'm on a PC and unfortunately, there are free solutions for a MAC. But that won't help me.
EDIT: One option I see is tsMuxer! But which setting for Output? I can choose...
TS muxing... or M2TS musing... or Blu-ray disk... or AVCHD disk... or DEMUX
To explain more, I have a Blu-Ray I purchased and want to add the audio from my laserdisc, since the remixed audio on the disc sucks (hard). I'll also add English subtitles. To be clear, this work is for ME for my own personal use.
Here is a screen grab from tsMuxer. Which to choose? I will place the audio and video in Premiere Pro. Sync the old Laserdisc audio up and then EXPORT to Adobe Encore to burn a new BD.

I'm not sure what is different for you now. You still parse the string
and put it into a data structure. Before the data structure was a
vector, in JATO its just a model with a "hidden" data structure (a hash
map).
MVC only really comes into play when you talk about where your write
this code, and where the data structure is being stored. So really, JATO
takes care of half of the MVC'ness of it all (where the data is store).
You just decide where to be the code to populate the model.
Make sense?
Is there something different required of you in JATO in this scenario
that I am not grasping?

I guess the only thing "weird" (for lack of a better term) about what
you are doing is that your are populating the model on the "display
cycle". Typically, the cycle goes like this:
Request -> populate model -> update data store -> retrieve data to
populate model -> display data
some of the above steps are optional but hopefully you get the point I
am making.
So what you are doing is:
Request -> populate model/display data
If it works for you, then it's not necessarilly wrong. But I would
probably have my model populated before I forwarded to the target
(displaying view bean) or at a minimum, in the begin display event of
the view bean or the tiled view, but not during the iteration of the
tiled view.
