So received an iPhone 4s today for Christmas and was activated yet "no service"?
Received an iPhone 4s today and the lady that my mother talked to at the store said I could call 611 to activate it but there is no computer option and customer service is closed today. Any options? I loaded it through iTunes and it says phone number: n/a
sounds like the SIM wasn't activated. Call your carrier. It's their issue.

Hi i received the nano 7th gen for Christmas and I only seem to get 5 hours of battery life. I use the Bluetooth and Nike app so I expect more drain on the battery. But I got more time out of running with my iPhone. Does this sound normal? I thought I should get close to 30 hrs of just play time alone.
ALso, my wife got me the Belkin armband to run with the nano but I sweat through the band resulting in the back of the iPod to get wet. Surely this is not good. Anyone have a recommendation for an armband that keeps moisture away from the pod?iPod Nano are small and they don't use Wi-Fi access so you get less power time on a Nano. As for iPhone, since you got apps, Wi-Fi + 3G access, and everything else, they give you more time so you can keep using. Nanos are ment to listen to music, listen to radio, view your photos, watch videos (without Wi-Fi) and since you got BlueTooth on the nano, it counts as wireless access so it drains your battery faster.

It is probably best for you to take it to the Apple Store and have them look at it. You can find the nearest Apple Store and make an appointment there online.

My wife received a new iPad Mini for Christmas-- when connected to iMac, icon appears in iPhoto sidebar; however, there appears to be no option to "unmount." Also, unlike my iPhone 4S whose icon appears in iTunes sidebar, the Mini does not. Any insights?
First open iTunes (version 11). Then connect the iPad. Now is it recognized?

My mom got the iPad mini for Christmas and she gave me her old iPad but she is still receiving all my messages on her mini. Is there a way to stop her from getting them?
If she is receiving your messages - then you must have somehow setup the iPad to use your iPhone number or your email address on her new iPad. How you did that is beyond me unless you set up her new Mini for her and used your Apple ID on it.
On her iPad got to - Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>uncheck your phone number or email address of that is what is being used for the contact number. -
I received an itunes giftcard for Christmas and I want to use it to purchase the Apple TV. How do I do this and is it even possible?
The iTunes gift cards are only usable for downloads from the iTunes Store. You cannot use them to buy Apple TVs or Macs.

I received an iPad for Christmas that was ex-display, however I am unable to restore it to factory settings using the iTunes restore......any suggestions??
If it's a store's demo model then as far as I know only Apple can potentially change it's iOS version to a non-demo version - you've tried Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings directly on the iPad ?

My daughter received an I phone for Christmas and we set it up using my iTunes account. She just received an iPad and wants to set up her own iTunes account. How do we do that without losing all of her content that she added to my iTunes account. I have home sharing on my account.

If she creates her own iTunes account she can't use any protected content purchased under another account. She can play unprotected content synced from an iTunes library on a computer, but she can only download content from the cloud that is purchased under her account.
It's a pain I know, but the longer you put off the move, the worse the situation will become. -
I have recived a new computer for christmas and dowloaded the new itunes on it but when i hook my iphone 4 up to the new computer with the new itunes it will only show up on the new devices the music i have on it will not show up in the new itunes lirary on my new computer i hate having to hook my iphone everytime to see my music! can some one show me how to fix this!?!?!?!?! Hi i recieved an ipod touch gen 5 for christmas and it worked perfectly on the 30th it decided to instantly shut down on me and over heat iv tried all of apples recommeded techniques but it wont work at all even when charging someone please help me!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I sent my Iphone 5c in for repair and when they sent it back my sim card wasn't in it is there any way i can have them send it back or do I need to get a new sim card for it?
You'll have to get a new one from your carrier. I believe the shipping instructions for mail in service explicitly tell you to take it out as you will most likely not receive the same phone back. Apple doesn't repair most phones, they replace them.

I had the same trouble today, I kept entering the sky password but would not accept, my iMac and iPod work ok but just could not get my iPod to work. But I found the fault, the password is case sensitive and mine on sky is in caps, the up arrows on the keypad put the caps on,but after each letter you must put the caps back or it wil revert to lower case, I hope this may help you -
