So where is all this supposed downloadable content?
Paid the 49 bucks to get the full premiere elements 7 subscription. Said in the ad we are supposed to get all kinds of cool downloadable content from adobe. So far I have seen 4 or 5 new disc menus and thats about it. What's the deal Adobe? I didn't need the storage space I just wanted the supposed extra cool content you advertised.

I am not trying to be an Adobe-apologist here, but are you sure that you logged into the Adobe.com site correctly as a subscriber? Reason that I ask is that what you are describing sounds suspiciously like what is free to all, and not the complete lineup of content available to subscribers. I've accidently logged into Hertz's site and not done so as a "#1 Gold" member. All of a sudden I wasn't seeing any of my "bonus" offerings, etc. Everything looked right, but it was just a log-in error on my part.
What is being described does not sound like Adobe. I hope that I am right, 'cause I'd be miffed too, and would yell even more loudly than you are - just to Adobe directly.
Good luck, and please update us with what you find out. In the meantime, take a look at the content at Muvipix. Some is free, the bulk is either for purchase, or free with a subscription. I know, you already have one of those with Adobe.com, but I can attest to the quantity and quality of the Muvipix content.

Does anyone know of a program that can tell me what application or service is causing this data to be moving? My internet connection doesn't have nearly that much upward speed, so it's not leaving my network, but where is it going, and why?

netstat -anp tcp
will show you all of your currently active tcp connections. Things going to port 80 are webservers, 443 https webservers, 21 FTP, etc.
lsof
... will show you all open files on your system and what has them open. In UNIX, since everything is a file, that includes open sockets.
to limit it to only TCP connections, do:
lsof -i tcp
You'll get something like the following:

From that you can see that Adium (instant messaging client) has a bunch of connections open to the various IM services and Safari has some websites open. -

Same issue here, seems to be just The Avengers, everything else working fine but Avengers either won't start or won't restart after pausing.

I took my MacBook in for repair yesterday. The techy used a reset button in the back of the computer. Since then, my picture of Firefox has changed and is very difficult to use. What is happening?
* Make sure that you have the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window
* If you see the missing item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window onto one of the toolbars.
* If, in "View > Toolbars > Customize", you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button

How do you completely remove all Logic/Soundtrack/etc content in it's entirety?
I've been trying to find out for hours where these **** files are hiding. I've just tried to install Logic 9 with all the additional content when my installer failed at the last moment and left everything strewn uselessly around my system. I've deleted all the files I can find associated with logic.
I have deleted all these files, except ones in red I can not find (because this is from a guide in 2009 and I'm running mountain lion so the extentions are different), though I am still missing 30 odd gigs of space on my harddrive, where is all this audio content hiding???

Where are all the podcast store on my harddrive
Anyone knows where are all video podcast download from Iturn store on my macbook harddrive??
I searched from the iturn music folder and my movies folder, but they are not there.
Many thanksJust search the podcast folder in spotlight, and it turned out that the folder is located in the itune music folder, and all video podcast are store in podcast folder. The related path to the folder is: /Music/itune/itune Music/podcasts/.

Just upgraded to ios7 and want to listen to BBc Global news podcast as I do every single morning and it is not there - where have all my podcasts gone? If I had known this would happen I would NEVER have upgraded.. Help!
As of iTunes 11.1 and iOS7, podcast files will no longer play in the Music app on the iPhone (this is very annoying, but that's the way it is).
The two easiest options are probably:
What Apple wants you to do: download and install their free Podcasts app onto your iOS device. In theory your podcasts, including the BBC news one, should sync onto the Podcasts app. This is supposed to "Just work", and if it just works for you, well, congratulations, but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case for most posters in this forum.
What I'm leaning towards: for all podcasts in iTunes, Get Info, and change them from "Media Kind = Podcasts" to "Media Kind = Audiobook". That will allow them to sync to the Music app. Then you'll have to arrange smart playlists or whatever to sync those (ex-)"podcasts" to your Music app. -

If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content? I want to buy an album that I cannot get hold of in Korea, but it is available in the US iTunes store. However since most of my apps are downloaded from the Korean store I'll need to switch back in order to update them. Does anyone know if there are any issues in doing this. I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.
Cheers.You canot easily change your country settings. The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. iphoto is not responding. I just finished importing all of my downloaded pictures (about 1,000) into iPhoto now this happens. I have version 9.5.1. I am using OS X 10.9.5
Did you import an iPhoto Library from the old Hard Drive? Do you still have that old Library?
The way to clear out a Library is to Export the photos - Apps like iPhoto2Disk or PhotoShare will help you export to a Folder tree matching your Events.
For the annoying start-up message:
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. *Make no other changes*.
Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder. -
i can't transfer downloaded content from my macbook air to my external hdd, when i try to drag it into the hrd drive it wont go in how do i fix this ?
What format is the external HDD in? If it's NTFS (= proprietary Windows), then OS X can read it but not write.
Eventually copy all content from the drive to a safe place, the re-format. FAT32 is the format which both Windows and OS X can read and write. -
Can't download content this morning
Has someone pulled out a plug they shouldn't have over at acrobat.com towers? I can't download my content to my iPad: either it says 'Waiting', or '0 of XXXMb' or 'Cannot download blah blah Try again later' and does nothing else.
I've signed out and in. I've restarted the Content Viewer app. I've deleted and re-installed the Content Viewer app. I've shut down and rebooted my iPad. I've checked that WiFi is running correctly here.
AND I've done all of those things in one go, too.
I'm now trying my last-ditch solution, which is to publish the folio as Private/Free (even though it's not ready for publishing). In the meantime, could someone at Adobe put that plug back in, please? We're in our final round of corrections and need to publish tomorrow, and I'd be grateful not to have to do all this at the eleventh hour on a Saturday.
