So, why does a faithful BT customer like meend up ...

So, why does a faithful long-standing BT customer like myself end up being hounded down by a debt collector acting on behalf of BT? It seems that after I paid a fee by card over the phone 18 months ago, it has only now come to light that you didn't take the payment. An admin error on your part surely, and not my responsibility. So why are you now threatening to send the debt collectors to my home and why are you charging me admin fees for the privilege? Perhaps you could shed some light on why I should a) pay for your mistake and b) remain a BT customer? I look forward to hearing your response and hope it is more coherent and understanding than the response I received after spending an hour on the phone to your operatives this morning. Thanks

    Hi,
    I created a UDO form with a field named “Customer Code” that represents a code of a customer.
    Pressing TAB over the field enables to choose a customer from a list.
    The list is based on Choose From List system object.
    When I choose a customer, who is on hold, I get a system message:
    “Customer <Number of customer> is on hold. Changes cannot be saved. Do you want to proceed?”
    This message is irrelevant because the purpose of the form is searching and displaying data.
    Why does this message appear, and how can I avoid it?

    Maybe, just after you select the customer from the choose from list, and just before you show it in you form, thus, making the msgbox appear, you can check if the bp is frozen and manage to click in the ok button of the msgbox using UI api....

  • Why does my terminal prompt look like this?

    Today I noticed that my Terminal prompt now looks like this:

    The computer name is 'Travis', and always has been.
    Hmmm...
    Further investigating shows a computer by that name on the network with a different IP address. The DHCP server shows my IP address as associated with my computer name, 'Travis'.
    So could this be an OS X network error where it's picking up the computer name from something like WINS or DNS and not updating it if the IP lease changes? And if so, why does it not simply use the given name specified by the user instead?
    As far as the network is concerned, my computer name is 'Travis', as it should be.

    We just bought and backed up two new 5s replacing iphone 4. Why does one new 5s screen look like the old 4 iphone. One phone shows new version, one is still old. I have downloaded and backed up twice, same thing happens. Used icloud to backup.

  • Why does Discoverer put my custom function into GROUP BY

    To make things clear with simple example:
    I have 10 id's from people (people.id) and sum function on their salary [sum(people.salary)] during a period of time that i set in my parameters.
    The sql looks something like this:
    SELECT PEOPLE.ID
    ,SUM(PEOPLE.SALARY)
    FROM FRS_PEOPLE
    WHERE [MY CONDITIONS]
    GROUP BY PEOPLE.ID
    I registered a function that uses people.id, and some other parameters to calculate something for each people.id!
    I made a calculation:
    MY_FUNCTION(people.id,'xxx','yyy')
    ,so my sql looks like this now:
    SELECT PEOPLE.ID
    ,SUM(PEOPLE.SALARY)
    ,MY_FUNCTION(people.id,':xxx',':yyy')
    FROM FRS_PEOPLE
    WHERE [MY CONDITIONS]
    GROUP BY PEOPLE.ID,MY_FUNCTION(people.id,':xxx',':yyy')
    It runs but never finishes....?!
    When i run my sql in sqlplus i do not put my function into group by, but discoverer does so, despite it already has people.id item in GROUP BY!
    And if i put instead of people.id an actual id it works correctly and does not put my function into group by!
    The sql i am looking for and works correctly is:
    SELECT PEOPLE.ID
    ,SUM(PEOPLE.SALARY)
    ,MY_FUNCTION(people.id,'xxx','yyy')
    FROM FRS_PEOPLE
    WHERE [MY CONDITIONS]
    GROUP BY PEOPLE.ID
    Please someone help!
    My select clause is much more complicated, with many outer joins so i made the above up just to explain to you what my problem is!

    I think there is a problem with your function. That fact that the report completes when an actual id is used must not when a people.id is used suggests that it works when the function is called once with an actual id but not when it is called many times with a people.id.
    If the function is doing complex lookups and calculations to obtain a salary for each people.id then often this type of report will run quicker with the salary calculation is brought into the report SQL using joins etc.
    Tracing the Discoverer session running the report will show you all the SQL processed by the database and the execution plans used. It will show you how often the function is being called and what SQL is being run by the function.

  • Why does my iPhone 4 vibrate like crazy once reached 90% while charging?

    Ok, so my iPhone 4 is like a five months old maybe. I have been using an iPhone for over two years now. Last night when I was charging my phone it went crazy once it hit like 90% or 95%. So you know when you plug your phone up and it lights up and vibrates, right. Well today, when I got home from school it was at 46%, I plugged it up than it did the iOS 6.1 update. Once that was over my phone charged, when I reached 95% it vibrates. It'll do the same thing as it does when you first plug it in. My charger is all the way plugged into the wall and all the way plugged up to my phone. My phone case is not blocking it, because on my phone case, it is all open. Before the iOS 6.1 update it was doing this. I haven't dropped my phone, or spilt anything on it at all. I have not changed the screen color or anything. It is a plain black iPhone 4.

    Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
    Do you mean that you get the page that says that a secure connection failed?
    Check out why the site is untrusted (click "Technical Details to expand that section) and if this is caused by a missing intermediate certificate then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
    You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
    *Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
    Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
    *Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
    You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
    If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
    Note that some firewalls monitor secure (https) connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

    Up until today iTunes has sounded fine but all of a sudden it turned to crap. I havent changed any settings in months and havent updated in years since it always causes problems and each update gets worse and worse. Its almost like the EQ is way off but I didnt even know iTunes had an EQ feature until today and when I try to change it, it doesnt fix the problem. Same goes when I try to change the EQ and other features in the control panel.
    Does anybody know what the problem is and how I can fix it? I wish there was another program that would sync my phone, im so tired of this **** from apple.

  • Why does Lightroom not have custom keyboard shortcuts?

    Lightroom is a workflow app. It's not just about raw conversion, which could be done in ACR, but about speeding up the whole process of selecting, editing and cataloging photos. 
    It seems to me that out of all Adobe apps, Lightroom is the one which should have customisable keyboard shortcuts.
    I've been using lightroom since shortly after it came put and I've been using the open-source plug-in keyboard customizer Paddy for several years which works okay at the moment. Each lightroom release breaks Paddy in some way and it's not as smooth as it could be if it was built in. Even so, I estimate I'm 2-10 time faster editing many photos with paddy than I would be without.
    I know that even adobe's resources are limited, but adding keyboard shortcuts should be easy, certainly compared to re-verse engineering RAW file formats or fixing complex lens distortions!
    At this point it seems clear that Adobe are choosing not to let us customise keyboard shortcuts. I'm not trying to change their mind, but I really want to know w
    It perplexes me, why don't Adobe add what seems liek a simple feature which could speed up Lightroom use by an order of magnitude???

    On Victoria Bampton's website she has a downloadable PDF file named "Adobe Lightroom 5 Windows Keyboard Shortcuts." (Windows, not sure about Mac). Its about 12 pages long. I assume that this is what you are looking for. www.lightroomqueen.com.

    first of all was your ipad dropped on a hard floor or something if not then you should just take it to apple as that is not normal you should probably get the device replaced

    I have been trying out the repousse feature in cs5 and my extrusion is pixelated, rough, jagged, or any other word you can use to say garbage.
    Here's what I've done:
    Typed my text.
    Selected: 3d > Repousse > Text Layer...
    Left the settings alone and clicked okay.
    This is what I get:
    As you can see, it looks like something made in Microsoft Paint then resized fifty times.
    I've tried my OpenGL settings in Basic, Normal, and Advanced with the same result in each.
    My graphic card is an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX in case it might be the problem.
    Besides for that, I don't know what to try or what settings to adjust. Any ideas?

    Looks like your Quality is still set to Interactive... try changing the Quality on the layer settings to "Ray Traced Final."  Otherwise you will see that pixelated edge.
