So youtube html5 vidoes don't show resolutions over 720p anymore for some reason, even though yesterday i could watch 1080p 60fps just fine. Anyone know why?
Title pretty mutch sums it up. At youtube's html5 page Media source extensions and MSE & H.264 are not checked even though they were prior to this day(or atleast one of them was. My short term memory sucks). Now its back to having only 360p and 720p as the aviable resolutions. So i tried to search if mozilla changed something in the latest 36 beta 8 patch (which updated for me today), but didn't find anything. I Also tried to install 36 beta 7 but it didnt have any effect on the problem. So is the problem at Mozilla side (they changed something that i dont know?), or is just me? It all just seems so weird to me...
hello Keula, MSE was disabled again in firefox 36 beta 7 since it caused widespread stability issues (bug 1129039).
if you didn't have any problems in this regard, you can manually reenable it: enter '''about:config''' into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''media.mediasource.enabled''', double-click it and change its value to '''true'''.

You do not have to have an Apple TV, but you should have an AirPlay capable speaker on your network.

Hello, for some reason i'Ve lost the ability to access my ipad, although i know the password, the ipad now is deactivated and telling me to connect to iTunes, i've done so but itunes can not access it anyway.
Please tell me what should be done to retrieve my photos on ipad before reformatting it.Unless you've done anything to change it, Google keeps every email that ever passes through their server in your All Mail folder/mailbox/label. Even if you delete stuff, they hold onto it, there. You have to go out of your way to actually delete anything permanently.

My "problem" is the following..
I just bought myself 2 new Kingston 2GB DDR2 667 memory modules. Thus expanding the memory of my macbook to 4GB's of ddr2 667. Now when i enter the system specs @ " About this mac" the system tells me i am actualy running 4Gb's of DDR2 800 mhz memory..
I thought the white MB881M/n macbook didnt support 800mhz memory..
Now my question is:
Would it be wise to buy 800mhz ddr2 and use THAT in stead of using the 667mhz memory wich the machine is obviously overclocking.
And IF the machine is actualy overclocking the current memory, could it be harmfull? Will it actualy be faster at 800 then at 667? Is the machine actualy overclocking the memory, or is it just a bug in the system showing 800mhz in stead of 667?
I thought the macbook i have couldnt support 800mhz but if for some reason it can i think it would be "wise" to put the "real deal" 800mhz in it..

The documentation I have even on the Early 2009 White Macbook specifies DDR2-667 MHz RAM. I don't know why System Profiler is reporting 800 MHz.
Here's my (multi-part) theory, and it's from thinking about all the reports we've been hearing about older generation MacBooks and the newer white MacBooks.
People have been reporting that the lastest (early 2009) white MacBook does actually use PC2-6400/DDR2 800 memory and runs it at native speed. It's not actually "overclocking" anything; it's actually capable of it even if not documented by Apple. It's using the same NVIDIA chipset as the Unibody MacBooks, and they're capable of using PC3-8500/DDR3 1066, so it's not a stretch to believe that they're capable of using DDR2 800. Intel's latest chipsets are capable of using DDR2 or DDR3 modules, but the type is going to be limited to the physical socket type.
All reports are that correctly labelled PC2-6400/DDR2 800 memory doesn't work properly in any of the earlier MacBooks that specify PC2-5300/DDR2 667 except in cases where it's mixed with one slower speed module. One would think that the SPD should contain secondary settings, but that doesn't seem to help it work unless there's another slower speed module that forces the memory controller in the chipset to operate both at the same speed.
A few people who have purchased Kingston (especially the KVR "ValueRAM Series") DDR2 667 modules have reported similar incompatibility as with clearly labeled
DDR2 800 modules. Here's one report:

My final theory is that these modules are sold by Kingston as DDR2 667 but are in fact DDR2 800 modules. This would A) cause the older MacBooks to not recognize it alone and B) cause the newer MacBooks to run it at a faster native speed. -
Trying to copy full albums onto my iphone 5s, some (About 25%) albums have "unknown artist" where the artist should be, even though they have the correct artist names in Itunes on my MBP.
Also some albums dont have artwork on the iphone but it is there on itunes on my MBP.

I have a lot of songs in my Itunes library. However, for some reason, they have disappeared and I only have one song left. When I check under My Music, I can see all the songs but can't access them through Itunes. Any idea why this happended and how I can fix it?
I think I fixed this problem a few years ago by literally copying and pasting all my audio content into the iTunes library folder. I can't remember what is called of the top of my head and I don't know if this will still work.

Today for some reason my Ipad won't tether properly. The iphone says it's connected and on the Ipad next to Wi-Fi in settings shows I'm connected but at the top left of the screen there is no connection icon and I cannot load and display web pages. My Ipad is about three weeks old and I have never had this problem before. I have rebooted but this did not solve my problem.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

My photos are not showing up as layers in the layers panel, only as one layer, so I am not able to make changes to the layers. Does anyone know why this is happening? Am I downloading them from my camera wrong? I have watched the video and the photos don't open that way on my layers panel. Any help would be appreciated, I would like to edit out the background and turn it a different color.

Photos from cameras or scans have only one layer (the 'background' layer).
You can start with that 'background' layer and duplicate it or add other layers in the editing process. For instance you can make a selection of a subject and put it on another layer; a common use is to desaturate the 'background' and to keep the color in the selected subject in your newly created layer. -
Several months ago I bought and downloaded Homeland. Earlier this month I bought
Dexter Season 7. They have ended up in different directories. My iTunes library is
on a NAS drive and Dexter was stored there (where it belongs). For some reason,
Homeland got saved to my Mac hard drive in the itunes/music/tvshows directory.
This seems odd everything else I have downloaded, music, other tv shows, movies
have been saved to the proper place. I haven't changed the path to my iTunes
library in years.
Now, iTunes has kept track of these two tv shows and I synced them both
to my iPad. The only reason I know they are in different places
is because my wife couldn't find them on the NAS drive.
Mostly out of curiosity, I'd like to know why this happened and how to keep it from
happening again.
Oh, it's iTunes 11.0.3 running on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8.

BobI don't think it is easy to move part of a collection unless you don't care about the metadata such as date added, etc. You can copy the files to the other drive, delete in iTunes the references to the copies still on your computer, then hold down the option key while dragging the files on the external to iTunes so it doesn't copy them back to your internal but just references them where they are. You have to remember to do this each time. Either that, or set preferences so iTunes does not automatically copy any file to your media folder when added but leaves them all where they land on your computer. You can move them by hand around the computer, but not between drives.
You could try Dougscript "Move Files To Folder" but I don't know if this enables iTunes to track items moved to a different drive. iTunes doesn't really like using multiple drives.
As for using Time Capsule, I have seen various takes on this. I recall reading somebody saying it isn't a good idea to have a backup drive competing for dual purposes. My take on it is, TC is a backup, period. If you keep your movies on it and the TC drive dies, you lose your only copy of the movies.
How often do you really watch these movies? Yes, it is nice having them appear in iTunes, but unless you are watching them every day then it isn't a huge burden to have them on another drive. Frankly, if I had iTunes movies I would probably make a whole different library for them and start from it with the external drive turned on when I was in a movie mood. -

My iTouch will not restore becuase for some reason it won't reconize it. I merely tried to update it with the newest software and every thing went to sh--. Now it is just stuck on the screen showing the apple sign. Can anyone help me.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore. -
