SO28 Inbound Mail Sender Email Address not available - after SAP upgrade

We have recently upgraded support packages on our R/3 system and
discovered that inbound emails (SO28) that could previously be identified by
the email address in the format of typical email address format are now coming
into the system in the format outlook display nameu2018lastname, firstnameu2019. We use the email address to validate against the SU01 data to make sure the email is coming from a valid user. This is causing our custom written validation of the inbound email address to fail.
We are using function module SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1 and retrieving the
email address from the field document_data-send_fnam.
We have updated the following support packages

address object of the sender is a attribute of the SOFM object and thereis it possible to get the address string.

Trying to SEND in Mail from email addresses not from my ISP verizon

I have Verizon fiber optic. All is okay except, I can't SEND from Apple's Mail program, when I try to send from an email address that I set up elsewhere. Receiving is fine. Just sending doesn't work. Verizon tech support worked with me for 2 hours with no success. the @verizon email addresses receive AND send, just not SENDING by way of my other POP accounts, which according to my web host should work.
I thought Mail could do this. Am I wrong?

What doesn “I can't send” mean? What’s the problem exactly? What error messages do you get, if any?
In an attempt to fight spam, many ISPs restrict the ability to send using an outgoing (SMTP) server not owned by them, usually by blocking port 25 for all traffic outside their own network, which means you cannot send with an SMTP server not owned by them if configured to use that port number. And it may happen the other way around as well, i.e. the outgoing server itself may look at the IP address you’re connecting from and refuse the connection if you’re outside its own network.
Something that often works is changing the outgoing server port to 587 (or whatever alternate port number the outgoing server listens to) instead of 25 and using some form of authentication in Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server > Server Settings, but two conditions must be satisfied for this change to work: (1) the ISP must not block that port as well AND (2) the outgoing server in question must listen to that port and accept a form of authentication not based on the IP address you’re connecting from.
Independent mail service providers not tied to a particular ISP, such as .Mac and Gmail, do allow authenticated SMTP access on port 587, which is the reason changing the outgoing server port number solves the problem for them if the ISP doesn’t block that port as well.
Read the following article, which applies to all versions of Mac OS X (not just Mac OS X 10.4.2 and earlier as the article states) and can be useful for other mail accounts as well (not just .Mac):

I spoke with Sprint regarding an issue I am having with my email address. I used to have Nextel and an email address of ******@nextel.blackberry.net on my blackberry 7100i and I switch to Spring and now carry a Blackberry Curve. I am now trying to create an account using Sprint’s blackberry with an address of ******@sprint.blackberry.net, however Sprint said the issue is with RIM regarding the emails addresses. About 2 months ago I contacted Nextel and they deleted the account so it would free up the email address, however they said it would take 30 days before I could register the email address again. So I have been trying to register with no success, so I called Sprint, they said the email address is not in use and the issue is with RIM.   Anyway to resolve my issue? I sent an email to RIM, but no idea how long that will take to get a response.

I wouldn't recommend posting your personal email address in a public forum.
Nor do I recommend using the provided email addresses... as they are no spam filterable and as you are experiencing do not follow you when you change carriers. While your issue is a bit more unique, nevertheless.
I would recommend a gmail address you can keep forever, and it offers great spam protection.

Email address not updating after publishing

Hi-
My wife has created her website and published it using Easy iWeb Publisher. Now that the site is up, we realize she is pointing to an invalid email address- it looks correct on her site, but when we click on it, it attempts to use an old email address we were testing with. We've tried to remove all traces of the test email address in iWeb- we deleted it completely off the contact info page, saved the changes, and added it back before republishing, but we're getting the same result. We can no longer find any traces of the test email address in the iWeb Contact page, but that's what the email address resolves to when we click on it.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
3 - reboot.
4 - launch iWeb, republish to a folder on the hard drive and locally check the email again.

Share option for email does not work after Yosemite upgrade.

Does anybody know why the share option, "Share via email" does not work anymore after Yosemite upgrade? I love this feature. It's just quick and easy.

On Yosemite, Pages '09 v4.3 no longer recognizes the Share > Send Via Email categories. You will have to export and manually drag/drop/attach documents to Mail. There is no fix.

Versamail no show incoming mails sender's name and subject after ROM upgrade

It is unlocked GSM 680 before with rom ROW 1.04 and worked quite well. After the upgrade to R01.92 1.12ROW, the incoming emails doesn't show sender's name(address) and subjects, but email content displays correctly. Don't know if the VERSAMAIL program has lost some files or modules. Anyone can help?

I see the subject of this post specifically mentions a ROM upgrade. I didn't do a ROM upgrade but I had the same exact symptom after installing CJKOS which allows Chinese, Japanese, Korean characters be displayed on my Palm Treo. The CJKOS preferences are not in English but eventually I was able to figure out if I disable that application within that app's preferences, the sender's name and subjects are now appearing. Maybe there is something the few of you are doing that is similar?

What "Adobe update" are you referring to? Adobe Flash Player? Adobe Reader? Something else? (Adobe produces countless products/services, so we need to know what got updated on your computer.)
Are you using the Adobe Send service? Note that you posted your question in a forum that's used for suggesting new features for that service.
Can you attach other files to emails, but not just PDFs?

Bluetooth not available after memory upgrade

I have a Macbook pro. I upgraded the memory from 2 GB to GB, Everything is working but the Bluetooth that says "Bluetooth not available".
If i remove the memory the bluetooth works again. I tried also to put a bluetooth dongle and is the same.

NWDI Components not available after patch upgrade

As I mentioned before the SCs cannot get away from the CMS track definition unless they are deleted manually. Is it the problem with the required SCs or Developed SCs?
You can also check in the CMS who has saved the track last and then consult them if they did any manual deletion?
What about CBS? If you are not able to see it in CMS then I am sure you cannot have the respective buildspace there as well. But if you see it in CBS and not in CMS, then it is strange.
One more way is --> If you see the content/SCs(Developed SCs) in the corresponding DTR, then you can add the SCs again to CMS track definition, this will create the buildspace for those SCs in CBS if they are missing.

TS4002 Mail sending emails out not working since upgrade 10.8

Ever since upgrade to 10.8, cannot send mail despite following the tips apple listed. ANy ideas how to get my mail to send messages out with 10.8.1??? Never had a problem until the updates.

I have had the same problem with OS10.8.1 email not sending but incoming only. One thing I tried resolved this,which was unchecking the SSL in the pop account and the messages immediately went whoosh!
Port 25 worked for the smpt but unchecking the SSL allowed communication.
Hope it carries on working . Jeff .

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

Content of old emails will not load after Yosemite upgrade

I recently installed Yosemite. All my old emails are still there, listed under the 'Sort by date' column, with sender, subject and the first few words showing. but the content will not load. New emails are downloading and content showing fine. I have played around with all the settings in Mail Preferences Viewing — download remote content etc — but nothing seems to work. I have also run "Verify Permissions", with no luck. If I search for something through the Finder, and what I am searching for appears in an email, I can pull up the email that way and all the content loads fine. So the content is all there. It is just not showing up through Apple Mail. Any ideas?

Check the Ask before closing setting in the Terminal preferences dialog.

Mail SMTP (outgoing) does not work after Yosemite upgrade

I have just updated Yosemite on my Mac and MacBook Air and the outgoing mails cannot be sent - the SMTP-connection fails.
It worked fully Ok few seconds before the upgrade was started.
So, I wonder if anyone or Apple can help on getting the Outgoing mails to work again.

For those of you having email password issues, I'd suggest:
1) Close your mail client (i.e. Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook, etc).
2) Launch "Applications" > "Utilities" > "Keychain Access.app"
3) Select "login" from the sidebar top left area, then select "Passwords" in lower left area
4) Click into the Search box in the upper right and search for your ISPs server names. For example, type "aol" or "google" or "comcast", etc.
5) Look through the search results for password entries related to your SMTP (outgoing) or IMAP/POP (incoming) mail servers. Select them and delete them.
6) Open your email client and try to receive mail, and then to send mail. You should be prompted to enter your mail username and/or password.
Hopefully this might fix issues for those of you using mail clients that use Keychain for credential storage.
