SOA 11g on WebLogic Server
I'm trying to smoke out next generation environment (JDev 11g + WebLogic 10g) but I'm facing following problem. I have 2 servers, one on my machine, my local WebLogic and general dev server. I have created simple EJB using oracle database to show some data. It is working fine on my local server but when I'm trying to deploy it to general development server I have following error:
[11:08:27 AM] Weblogic Server Exception: weblogic.application.ModuleException:
[11:08:27 AM] Caused by: weblogic.descriptor.DescriptorException: VALIDATION PROBLEMS WERE FOUND
problem: cvc-complex-type.2.4a: Expected elements 'password-encrypted@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/jdbc-data-source use-xa-data-source-interface@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/jdbc-data-source' instead of 'use-password-indirection@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/jdbc-data-source' here in element jdbc-driver-params@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/jdbc-data-source:<null>
[11:08:27 AM] See server logs or server console for more details.
[11:08:27 AM] weblogic.application.ModuleException:
[11:08:27 AM] #### Deployment incomplete. ####
[11:08:27 AM] Deployment Failed
I don't get it, can't find any usage of mentioned features like: use-xa-data-source-interface or use-password-indirection
What can be wrong ?
WLS is very picky if the xml files doesn't contain the elements it expects. Your <connection>-jdbc.xml contains information you want but also others are expected therefore the error messages. The XSD (weblogic-jdbc.xsd) can be found in $SOAHOME/modules/com.bea.cie.config-schema_10.3.2.0.jar.
Check your <connection>-jdbc.xml in your META-INF of the EAR file.

Soa suite on weblogic server 10.0??? URGENT!!!!!
hi,
we have a requirement to use ejb3.0 in our project. we are using soa suite on weblogic server 9.2. but weblogic 9.2 is not supporting ejb3.0 ( i guess). so we want to migrate weblogic server form 9.2 to 10.0. my doubt,is Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.3 is compatible with weblogic server 10.0??
otherwise any alternative??
please help me out.
Thanks in advance. You are correct - SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 is not certified with WLS 10.x. We are currently in the process of certifying SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with WLS 10.3.

Install Forms and Reports builder 11g without WebLogic Server
Hello Everybody,
Presently to install Forms and Reports builder 11g on a PC for developers, we need to install WebLogic Server prior to that.
For this, we need lot of resources. Hardware, to download big software bundles, memory resources, etc...
If we have a solution like *"Forms and Reports builder 11g and its tools as stand-alone distribution from Fusion Middleware technologies"* ........ no words from me.
Do you have a solution to install Forms and Reports Builder 11g without WebLogic Server?

Deploy ADF 11g to WebLogic Server: Unmarshaller failed
Hello,
I have an IBM server which was built with an Intel Xeon CPU; and I run Solaris 10 on it.
It seems there is no WebLogc 10.3 package installer for Solaris x86 (SPARC only). So I must install WebLogic 10.2.
Does JDeveloper 11g support WebLogic 10.2 ? (I see only 10.3 when create an Application Server connection)
When I tried to deploy my ADF application to WebLogic Server (with the connection for WebLogic 10.3) from my computer, an exception occurred:
weblogic.management.DeploymentException: Unmarshaller failed
When I read the log file on the server, it said that there was an error in weblog-application.xml, related to the descriptor. (Sorry, I am not at the server right now; so I cannot write exactly what it said. If necessary, I'll post it later.)
I hope someone will help me to resolve this problem.
Thanks for reading my thread! There are messages in the log file:

Weblogic server is pre-requisite for ODI installation? or we can just install standalone and start it using by connecting database same like OWB.
Please Help,
WaqasIf you want to have J2EE agent, then only you will need Weblogic server.
Can we Install ODI without weblogic server to work with database using connection string?
Yes, you can use Standalone or local agent to connect to database. Weblogic server is not mandatory. You should be good to go.

OBIEE 11g installation - Weblogic server on one host and obiee on another
Hi
I am doing obiee11g installation with the following topology:
1. Weblogic on one Linux Host
2. OBIEE on another Linux server
I am able to successfully complete the weblogic installation and i started the obiee on the another machine. The installation fails at the following point:
Specify Installation Location :
Oracle Middleware Home: /u01/app/oracle(This is the where i have the question - This should be weblogic server location where you hosted on another machine. It should ask me for host name or ip address)
Oracle Home Directory
Any one did the installation with the above and how to overcome the above issue.. Should i share the drive using nfs mount or any other solutions. Your help is appreciated.
ThanksHi,
Can u clarify below questions?
Do u have both servers on the same network?
Thanks. -

OEM Gridcontrol 11g - licensing & weblogic server
Hi,
the new gridcontrol works with weblogic server and 11gR2 database.
For licensing - Are there some differences to the "old" version (OC4J instance in application server)?
In the past you don't have to license the database/application server when you are using grid control you only have to license the various management-packs for the databases or oracle vm.
I never installed weblogic server before - is it tricky and is the web logic server the "new name" of the old application server?
Thank you,
Kind Regards

RenéHi Rene,
Licensing part is same and there is no change. You dont have to buy license for database/weblogic server.
Weblogic installation is pretty simple . Just follow the installation guide.

How to upgrade froms and reports 10g to froms,Repor 11g on weblogic server
I need to setup a test environment to upgrade Oracle Developer Suite (Forms and Reports 10g) and Oracle BI (Discover) to weblogic. We are using Oracle 10g.
What software I need to install and and in which order? Help will be highly appreciated. ThanksHi,
You can find many articles on oracle site for this subject.
However in brief following are the steps
1) Create a directory source,executables,images,reports and logfiles.
2) Copy all your forms, menus and pll's in source directory
3) All your images in your image directory
4) All your reports in reports directory
5) All yuor fmx,mmx and plx in executables directory
6) Any log files in logfiles directory
7) Add path of images and executables directory in FORMS_PATH in default.env
8) Configure your formsweb.cfg as your need.
9) Configure report.conf and rwservlet.properties according to your applications.
10) Make jar of icons say myicons.jar.
11) copy myicons.jar in forms/java directory
12) Check yuor form services if they are running or not.
13) Invoke the URL in internet explorer
http://<ip_address>:<port_no>/forms/frmservlet?form=testform.fmx
I think that's enough from my side.. For more info you can go through the documentation.

SOA 11g: DB Adapter design issue
I have a Stored Procedure that reads from a table, and in my composite I have a DB adapter to read the procedure, pull the data and a use mediator/BPEL to pass the data on to a JMS adapter.
The question is
1. how to poll the DB adapter to invoke the Stored Procedure automatically, like file/ftp adapter
2. can similar polling operation be done on a JMS adapter
I'm using SOA 11g with Weblogic Server 10.3 and Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2You can't poll a stored procedure, you can only poll changes to database tables, and views.
Yes you can poll JMS like file adapter.

Port information in weblogic server
Hi,
We have Fusion 11g with Weblogic server installed on solaris machine, wanted to know how to check the port information as on which port it is configured.
We have B2B, Weblogic, SOA etc installed on machine.
Is there any file where I can check the port information or I can grep using command for the same.
Regards
KumarCheck the section 5.2 in the same link
Using Command Prompt:
(UNIX) ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin/opmnctl status -l
(Windows) ORACLE_INSTANCE\bin\opmnctl status -l
Using WLST command, with an attribute.
wls:/SOA_domain/serverConfig> get('AdministrationPort')
9002
and you can view from EM console aswell.
Thanks,

Configuring Apache HTTP Server with Oracle Weblogic Server plugin
Hello friends,
I have a scenario of OIM 9.1.0.2 on Oracle Application Server 11g and Weblogic Server Apache HTTP Server.
Oracle WebLogic Server is configured in cluster (node1 and node2), also use the Oracle Weblogic Server plugin for integration with Apache.
One of the tests is to lose one of the nodes for the apache plugin redirects the node that has less overhead.
When the mode is node1 and node2 stop start mode and try to access the management console of Oracle Identity Manager, the plugin sometimes redirects to the other active node, and on another occasion shows the oracle management console identity manager without the colors of the basic look and feel.
Deputy of the Apache HTTP Server log, do you expect your comments to solve this case?

Thanks"One of the tests is to lose one of the nodes for the apache plugin redirects the node that has less overhead."
Note that the plug-in does a round robin load balancing, for example, in the case of three server (1,2,3) it does 1-2-3-1-2-3-1...
with server 3 going down it does 1-2-1-2-1...
An example configuration (with SSL off) looks as follows:
LoadModule weblogic_module "/home/oracle/weblogic12.1.1/apache/modules/mod_wl.so"
<IfModule weblogic_module>
ConnectTimeoutSecs 10
ConnectRetrySecs 2
DebugConfigInfo ON
WLSocketTimeoutSecs 2
WLIOTimeoutSecs 300
Idempotent ON
FileCaching ON
KeepAliveSecs 20
KeepAliveEnabled ON
DynamicServerList ON
WLProxySSL OFF
</IfModule>
<Location /LoadTest6>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
WebLogicCluster 172.31.0.175:7002,172.31.0.113:7003
</Location>Also see the complete example here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=7795
"the plugin sometimes redirects to the other active node"
This is somewhat strange, do you have session binding turned off?
"and on another occasion shows the oracle management console identity manager without the colors of the basic look and feel."
This could happen due to mime types (not really sure just a hunch). Here is a general story on this concept: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Properly_Configuring_Server_MIME_Types
and the apache module: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_mime.html
