SOA Application development & Security Standards document template

Hi,
I need to create documents on SOA Application development standards and SAO Application Security standards.
Please share document templates if anyone have them.
Thank you

Hmm, interesting comments. Is it really a Standard that you're after? Not wishing to ask if you like salt with your eggs but I assume we know the differences between Standard, Policy, Procedure? You'd be surprised with the number of so called Security experts /Consultants that can't articulate this. I have seen big 4 people who are meant to be delivering Policy but actually documenting a Standard, even Procedures
So are you looking at delivering a Standard per Application? You should also have a Generic App Security Standard.
Standard - you're looking to no more than 10-20 pages.
SAP hooks into several other documents so you should be explicitly referencing O/S and Database Standards.
Authenticating against SAP - that should be covered in Access Control Policy /Standard.
Encryption ....? Your encryption doc's and so on.
SAP sits on an O/S, so if you're an IBM house then you're looking at AIX. SAP would assume this as a pre-req. Database? You've got Oracle and if again you're an IBM house you follow DB2.
DB2 inherits numerous priv's from the underlying O/S. So if AIX is poorly configured, then DB2 inherits this. Of course there's a bunch of stuff that you can do from SYS* parameters etc.
I've just put together a bunch of stuff for an Org. The actual SAP piece is actually not that hard. The Procedure is a little more specific e.g. specific Install Accounts /Passwords that need to be changed, how you secure external interfaces.
Please let me know if you need anything further.
Cheers, N

  • Template for SAP Security Standard document

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I was asked to overhaul our company's SAP Security Standards document. So Im hoping someone can give me a template on what information/data should be in the document?

  • Implementation Document Templates

    Hi All
Does Oracle provides any standard document template for Partners for different stages of Implementation from Business requirement documents to Gap Analysis to implementation documents.
    Any pointers for those templates
    Thanks

I think name and link of the forum is changed. Just curious why it has been changedI do not understand why, "Managing Oracle Applications" is called now "LCM: Managing Oracle Applications"!!!

  • How can I turn off the WLS 6.1 security in order to develop my own application-based security module?

    Dear Colleagues,
I am currently developing a J2EE application using WLS 6.1.
My team and I have to implement a security requirement to suit our company's needs.
The security requirements are that, users' password need to be aged (30 days maximum) and we need to provided a GUI front-end (JSP) to allow users to change their password when these expire after 30 days.
Our internal contacts in the company, have already taken the lead to find out about whether we will be able to use the WLS 6.1 platform to do this and the answer we got back, was.
Now we need to develop our own security module.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. How can we turn off the WLS security in order develop our own application-based security module?
    2. How can we develop a security module that allows us to age users' password and provide them with facilities to change their passwords when these expire?
At the moment, we are using the default BEA WebLogic login.jsp page and there some configuration in the web.xml for this. I will be grateful if you could advise me on how to turn this default security off so that we can write our own security module.

    hi,
1.You can write your own realm in 61 which can plugged for your security
    calls.
    2. once you write your ownrealm.. you can access it through weblogic
    api/ur api..
    thanks

  • Regarding project development standard document

    Hi,
Just wanted to know if there is any coding standard document we can use to create MII project , its component.
If there can you please forward the link.
    Thanks

There are some best practice documents under the Guides and Guidelines section of the MII Wiki : http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/xMII/Manufacturing+Integration+and+Intelligence

  • Is application developed by servlet more secure than jsp?

jsp has appeared, but someone still use servlet.
Those reason is that servlet can make application higher security. Is it true?

Servlets are no more secure than JSPs, because JSPs are servlets - they're just another way of building the same thing. There is nothing you can do in a JSP that you can't do in a servlet or vice versa.
Why switch to or from JSPs or servlets? - you should be using both. Use servlets for heavy processing logic and JSPs for presentation (MVC pattern). That way you get maximum separation of logic and presentation. You can pretty much let HTML developers work normally, then come along afterwards and stick a little bit of Java code in the page to make it all dynamic. Better still, you can create easy-to-use custom tags that your HTML developers can easily understand without needing any programming experience. This leaves you free to work on the logic in the back-end.

  • Has anyone written a BSP development standards document?.

I was wondering if anyone had written any devlopement standards and was willing to share them. With so much code involved I guess there must be some standards.
I've got to put together a standards document for BSP, but I would rather not start from the beginning, given the choice.
    Best regards
    Jas

    Hi Jas,
    have you seen this book:
    [Official ABAP Programming Guidelines  |http://www.sap-press.de/katalog/buecher/titel/gp/titelID-2093]
It is not about BSP but lots of things in this books can be used.

  • Unable to open a standard WAD template (Tech.Content)

    Hi All,
We are working with the standard web templates for technical content (Eg: Runtimes of BI Applications :: 0TPLI_0TCT_MC01_Q0111 ).W ehave installed the templates ,all the flows, process chains. We have installed them in 3.X version and i am assigned to role SAP_BW_BI_ADMINSTRATOR.
But when i try to open the templates in 3.x WAD I am getting the error "you have no authorization to change the template.Do you want to create  a copy? --> If i say yes it is running some HTML code in the scrren with  a VALIDATE option in the bottom right. If i click on that i am getting the following  error
"the selected template contains HTML fragments ,non supported items or is not designed to be edited with wad use the functions 'upload to server' or "download to server ' and edit the web template in an externalHTML editor.
Can you suggest what we are missing or how to fix this issue?
    Thanks
    Sri

What you can do is :
    1. Make these templates changeable - in the transport connection under RSA1 - select Object Changeability and then under TMPL right click and set to Everything changeable.
If this is your development system which is open - you need not do this....
    2. You can also view the templates ( HTML version ) using program RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN
Going by your error - looks like some Authorization objects are missing for you to be able to edit the templates - since these are SAP Defined - I would recommend not editing them and instead - going through the HTML using the program mentioned above and if you need a copy of the same - then copy the HTML and put it into a new template under the HTML View.

did u delete the correct system folder.. it will create different system folder for different version.
and are you deleting at the right place.?
    C:\Documents and Settings\{user_id}\Application Data\JDeveloper
for the first time yes jdev will create the Default Domain for you.. and that domain is for weblogic 10.3.5

  • Where to get Application Development 11.1.1.4 CD

With the release of JDev 11.1.1.4 and WLS 10.3.4 - where do we download the latest application development runtime (in order to install the JRF template in WLS)? The Fusion Middleware Download Page (where we can get 11.1.1.2 and 11.1.1.3 versions of this) say to visit the individual product pages for 11.1.1.4 versions. The app dev download is not on the WLS page. Is the JRF now included with WLS installs, or is the download hidden away somewhere else?
    John

I just searched for 11.1.1.4 - perhaps not the best search term, but it was on the first page of results.
I agree - Oracle needs to fix the download organisation for OFM PS3 - it used to be you could go to one page and find all of the stuff; not anymore. For example, say you wanted the repository creation assistant for PS3... where to get it? Yes, an obvious choice is to go to the SOA Suite download page, since SOA Suite requires a repository - however, I wanted it for MDS and to test out the new DB store for OPSS, not SOA.
I'll send an email to Frank about this

  • The Create List Item workflow action does not work in document library with document template

My end goal is more complex but below is a basic example of the issue I’m having that just simply does not work.
I'm trying to use a site workflow to create an item in a document library that has a document template applied to it but the file that gets created by the workflow is corrupt and cannot be opened.
I created a document library and edited the document template by adding some text to the header and changing it to a Word docx file instead of a Word dotx file. I tested the document template by clicking the files tab in the ribbon and then clicking new
document which opens the document template in Word and allows me to edit and save the document back to SharePoint. Then I created a SharePoint 2013 site workflow in SharePoint Designer that contains a single Create List Item action, and that action creates
an item in the document library with the name field statically defined. I published the workflow and then manually start it on the site. The workflow completes successfully and when I navigate to the document library the document has been created by the workflow.
When I click on the document to open it in the Word Web App it throws the error pictured below and if I open it in the Word client application it just opens a blank document and not the correct document template.
I also tried using a SharePoint 2010 workflow with pretty much the same results. Opening the document in Word Web App gives the same error as above and opening the document in the Word client application gives the error pictured below.
Come on Microsoft creating a Word Document in a SharePoint Document Library from a SharePoint Workflow should just work! Is this a bug or does anyone have any ideas on what is causing the this issue?

I had the same problem with corrupted document - this worked for me:
    1. Create a 2010 Workflow which creates the list element in a document library
(you may start this workflow from your 2013 workflow if applicable)
    2. In the Create New List Item properties - make sure to set ContentTypeId to your content type
("Id for indholdstype" is Danish for "Contenttype ID")
    3. Your Content Type template should be a ".docx" file - NOT a ".dotx" file...!
(I have always created my templates for content types as .dotx files - seems Microsoft wants us to use ordinary .docx files as template files for content types)
    Hope this helps you!

  • Error after deploying a JSP Application developed with jdeveloper

    Hi there
    Running Oracle Enterpride Edition 8.1.7
    including Oracle Http webserver
I'm trying to run a JSP application developed with Jdeveloper
through the oracle http server included in
    Oracle Enterpride Edition 8.1.7
Think I have modified alle the .conf files correctly
    I get the message :
"Error Message: java.lang.RuntimeException: JSP Registry could not locate runtime property file:ORDERS_ORDERS_PKG_ORDERS_PKGModule.properties"
Of course I know ,this file should be deployed as well. I have done this.
    Any ideas what's wrong ?
Or can anyone point me to a (proper) document that decribes (correctly and completely) alle the steps that need to be done ?
    Many Thanxs
    Regards TJ

Yep, I had the same problem deploying from JDeveloper 9.3.1, followed:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/adf_runtime_update_howto.html
and it works! thanks for the clue! (now I only have to find out what ADF is now!)
    Carlos.
