Issue with B2B Simulator for testing Healthcare Integration in SOA 11.1.1.6
Hi All,
I've installed the healthcare integration patch on top of SOA 11g PS5, and am now trying out the integration scenarios as detailed here . When running the B2B simulator as detailed in the readme, I'm able to see that the ADT file is polled from /tmp/blite/test/in folder, but the same file is not put into the /tmp/blite/test/out folder as expected. Nor am I able to see the messages in the Healthcare UI dashboards, neither the SCA composite instance is instantiated in the EM console.
The simulator log generated by B2B simulator does not show any apparent error, except for a oracle.jrf.UnknownPlatformException: JRF is unable to determine the current application server platform. But the process seems to have gone ahead and also shows that the message sent count as 1. Has anyone tried this integration scenario in Healthcare? Any pointers would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best practices for apps integration with third party systems ?
Hi all
I would like to know if there is any document from oracle or from your own regarding best practices for apps integration with third party systems.
For example, in particular, let's say we need customization in a given module(ex:payables) need to provide data to a third party system, consider following:
outbound interface:
1)should third party system should be given with direct access to oracle database to access a particular payments data information table/view to look for data ?
2) should oracle create a file to third party system, so that it can read and do what it need to do?
inbound:
1) should third party should directly login and insert data into tables which holds response data?
2) again, should third party create file and oralce apps will pick up for further processing?
again, there could be lot of company specific scenarios like it has to be real time or not... etc...
How does companies make sure third party systems are not directly dipping into other systems (oracle apps/others), so that it will follow certain integration best practices.
how does enterprise architectute will play a role in this? can we apply SOA standards? should use request/reply using Tibco etc?
Many oracle apps implementations customizations are more or less directly interacting with third party systems by including code to login into respective third party systems and vice versa.
Let me your know if you have done differently and that would help oracle apps community.
thanks
rrb.you want to send idoc to third party system (NONSAP).
what kind of system is it? can it handle http requests
or
can it handle webservice?
which version of R/3 you are using?
what is the mechanism the receiving system has, to receive data?

Steps for Email integration in sap crm system?
Hi Experts,
Please guide me the steps for email integration so that the emails are in syn with the WEB UI Interaction centre.Settings at the backend GUI are already defined.Actually in my case the Development system is not integrated with Email sync in WEB UI.I need to test the email functionality in Development system as steps I have followed are as below:
1)TCode :- SBWP,then I have created a mail & send it to email address which is defined in the SO28
2)TCode :- SOST,there I have clicked on my test mail, select it & click on execute button, green light appears & shows the message that the email is successfully forwarded.
Now when I open Web Ui,select my business role & then I go to inbox in the Navigation Bar,select email & click on search. Then it does not appear anything & shows search result zero.
Kindly suggest me the steps so that I can see my test email in Dev system Web Ui business role .
Thanks

Mapping Error: Mappings are not required for this Integrator
Hi,
when I created my upload integrator with the Desktop Integrator Manager (12.1.2) I am not able to attach a mapping to it. I get the following error:
Mapping Error: Mappings are not required for this Integrator because the ability to download information has not been enabled.
Does anyone know what I've missed?
cheers
JeroenHi ,
Without creating the content if you are trying to do mapping this error will come.
Solution:
Create the content and then do mapping..

GL Accounts for MM Integration
Hi friends
I am in the midst of providing GL accounts for MM Integration.
I am slightly confused about what type of GL I should create for the transaction keys. For example, for GBB (Offsetting posting for inventory), I am not sure what type of GL I should create ? Whether it should be Balance sheet or P&L type with or without open item management?
Please guide me on this issue with a few examples.Hi,
I am giving you a detailed picture to understand this:-
1. UMB - Gain/Loss from Revaluation - P/L Account
2. BSX - Inventory Accounts - B/S Accounts
3. GBB - BSA - Initial Uload - B/S Accounts
4. GBb-INV - Offsetting entry for Stock Posting (for expenditure / income from inventory differences - P/L Accounts
5. GBB-VAY - Cost of Goods Sold - P/L Entry
6. GBB-VBR - Consumption
7. PRD - price Difference - P/L Accounts
8. WRX - GR/IR Clearing A/C - /S Accounts
9. KDM - Materials Diff in Exchange rates - P/L Account
Hope this helps you. Do let me know if you have further questions.

No Connection after installing SP 2.3 for SAP Integration Kit
Hello Community!
We just installed Service Pack 2 and Fix Pack 2.3 (in this order) for SAP Integration Kit on one of our client's servers. Before that everything worked fine. After the installation I verify the CE connection in /crystal/rptadmin. The result is:
Unable to log on to Enterprise system. Reason: Unable to log on: Could not connect to server vm103:6400. Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running.
I checked the RFC connection in sm59 but that works normally. BW Publisher Service is also running. The servers (BW and BO) are on the same machine: Windows 2008, 64bit, SQL Server, BOE XI 3.1 SP 2.
The BW Publisher Trace log shows the following entry:

When I try to log into BO Info View or CMC with my SAP credentials CMS crashes without any logs!
This is now the 2nd server with that issue!
Any ideas what this could be?
Thank!
philNo, this happens only by logging in with SAP credentials.
CMS log file shows a huge list of entries like this one:
.\pluginhelper.cpp:276: TraceLog message 1

But I've got these entries on other systems too... -
Requirements for 9iAS Integration
After days of plugging through the documents, reading manuals and searching google's archives, I am still not sure exactly what is need to get this going. We would like to set up the Integration piece (Interconnect, Workflow, IStudio) within our enterprise. We are trying to get this working on a Windows 2k server. I have formatted the server several times for one reason or another. I am hoping to avoid this in the future.
I have amassed a bundle of questions:
1. What parts of 9ias are required for this to work
2. Does the Metadata Repository have to be on the same box as the Hub?
3. Can I use an existing 9i database as the Metadata Repository instead of creating a new database?
4. How do I define the path to the Workflow homepage?
Thanks for any help,
Chris1.
For building integration apps you would need InterConnect and Database, preferably the iasdb ie. Infrastructure db, for message hub and hub repository (schema).
Note that Metadata Repository is another name for the Database included in O9i AS (a 9.0.1 db) loaded with a bunch of "repositories" (schemas) for various AS components like Portal, Discoverer, OEM and Workflow.
2.
If you mean the InterConnect install type "Hub"- no.
(but in the hub and spoke model, Metadata Repository is used as hub)
In my experience, Oracle has a lot of work left to do on InterConnect. Documentation is useless - and now I'm being nice. Support looks weak and has failed miserably when dealing with basic stuff.
(Perhaps this has something to do with OAI being hidden in Applications in previous incarnations?). -
Define default for excel integration to report painter
Hello,
I am running report painter.
I am using office integration to display the report with Microsoft
Excel.
The Excel opens with left to right display.
I want to display him right to left - but I cannot define right to left
as a default.
Where can I define defalut template for excel integration to report painter?
Regards,
Amit BlumshteinHello,
Thank you for the replies. I did resolve the issue above (K9 072), the account group gave me a cost center and cost element that was blocked for use. Once I usees a valid cost center and cost element, the error went away.
We are using SAP version 4.6
With that said... I did receive another error, "Enter a numeric value"
Enter a numeric value
Message no. 00 052
The valid cost centers are alphanumeric, not just numeric. For instance: IT1 is a cost center.
Can alphanumeric values be used? If so, how to I go about making them work with the upload in KP06?
I have looked at the layout in report writer (KP66) and I see no options on allowing alphanumeric values. However, I am very new to this and just may be missing it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!

Is it mandatory to run wcConfigure script for UCM integration????
Hi,
I'm looking to integrate an already running instance of UCM 10.1.3.5.1 version with webcenter. I have tried the integration steps by following the documentation and was able to do it. But wcConfigure script is making lots of configuration changes in our UCM instance which are not acceptable.
Is it necessary to run the wcConfigure sript for UCM integration?
Is there any other option to integrate UCM without running this script?
Thanks,
VarunHey Varun,
Each Contribution Folder in UCM has a set of metadata associated with it. You can change this metadata in the UCM interface by going to the particular folder and selecting Information (or Folder Information) from the actions drop down. This will display the metadata associated with that folder including security group and account. Select Update from the actions drop down on that page to change this info.
Whenever an item (folder or content) is created under another folder it will automatically inherit the default metadata set for that folder. There is also an option to propagate the changes you make to the metadata to content directly underneath a particular folder. That option is also in the actions dropdown on the folder information screen.
The other thing to check is that the user who is logged into Webcenter has privileges in UCM to the security group and account that you define for the folders and content. By default UCM is not going to be hooked up to the embedded WLS LDAP so you would need to create the user locally in UCM via the User Admin applet or (preferably) integrate UCM with the WLS LDAP. (See Chapter 7 in the Managing Security guide http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/documentation/admin/managing_security_10en.pdf for LDAP integration instructions)
Hope that helps,

Problem by Maintaining a Business System for the Integration Server
Hi to all,
I have the following problem. I tried to change some Business systems configuration in SLD but accidentally deleted defined Business System for our Integration Server. After that I tried to create that business system again but I have the following error:
Integration Server already defined. There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System.
Since than Im receiving the following error message when I try to refresh my adapter engine cache:
com.sap.aii.ib.server.abapcache.CacheRefreshException: Unable to find an associated SLD element
Do you know how can I define the Business System again currently I can't see it in SLD Business systems?
Ive also checked the IS URL (TR: SXMB_MONI) and it seems that its ok.
Regards
NaychoHi Naycho,
i think you have to clean up some sld rubbish
Go to SLD / Administration / Content Maintenance. Choose left side "all classes" or "landscape description" and right side "business system". Delete all entries you find for your business system, after that try to recreate it.
