SOA repository metadata

Hi All,
Going through the metadata repository for SOA infrastructure. There is a table called XML_DOCUMENT. I assume that where all the incoming XML messages are stored. However, it is difficult to understand why Oracle prefer to use the BLOB datatype instead of the XML TYPE.
I have a SOA Suite application that receive XML feed from a external third party for three different data . I need to query the database to get number of each type of data in a day for planning and verification purpose. How should I go about it.

I have spoken to Oracle about this previously, apparently these warnings are not important and are nothing to worry about, see here:

Getting problem in import the repository metadata into to OWB ( Sun solris)

Actually as discussed before in this forum I am trying to import all metadata of repository ( exported as mdl file from window environment) into unix(sun solaris environment). After completion like 100% its giving a error.
I am trying this from my local m/c have client of owb ,which is conneted with owb of sun solaris environment .

DAC repository metadata tables

Hi,
I am preparing reports in OBIEE for analysing DAC runs.
For this I need to have the knowledge of the DAC metadata tables and the information they store in them.
Can anybody please share any information/documents about these tables?

It gives me the possible model for the RPD.
But I want to have the information about the DAC metadata tables individually.
For example, W_ETL_FOLDER table stored information about logical and physical folders. Similarly, I want to know what other tables store for DAC.
Please share if you come accross any such document/information.

SOA DB (Metadata) Migration

Hi,
We are doing a database migration/upgradation for our SOA Middleware. Basically all the schema and data were copied from the existing environment to the new environment. What are all the things to be changed/considered in application server(Weblogic 10.3.3). For now I am just changing the db details.
If there is any oracle doc available, please point it to me.

Error Occured While Creating Grant From SOA Integration Repository

I have created the Custom SOA Object using the Iparser.
Now i am trying to provide the grant through the SOA repository.
When I click create,the its failing

Periodic cleanup of repository schemas in SOA 11g

Hi All,
I want to carry out regular (weekly) cleanup of the RCU schemas like (DEV_MDS, DEV_SOAINFRA, DEV_ORABAM) Over time, the tablespace seems to increase in size which is a concern. I tried the purge script for cleaning the composite instances, which does reclaim some space back. Example in DEV_SOAINFRA schema,inspite of purging there lots of records in tables like MEDIATOR_AUDIT_DOCUMENT, SYS_LOB0000076386C00004$$, MEDIATOR_CASE_DETAIL, MEDIATOR_PAYLOAD etc. How do one carry out a weekly cleanup of the SOA repository schemas, so it does not keep growing in size?

This is very important issue. Please address this. Business has no confidence getting the Oracle based SOA application in due to gradual increase in the disk size for the RCU schema repository (DEV_MDS, DEV_SOAINFRA, DEV_ORABAM). Metadata Sharing Strategy

Hi,
In the standard SOA install you have a SOA infra metadata repository.
When AIA is installed AIAMetadata is then added to this repository.
AIAMetadata contains the abstract WSDL’s, xsd’s etc. for all the enterprise level artefacts.
We have Development, Test and Production SOA Servers which each have their own metadata. We have a patching system which deploys metadata to each sever.
It has crossed my mind that we could have a single metadata store and connect all three SOA Servers to that one. There are already strict rules for adding files to metadata so this should not be a problem. There is also the need for other systems (ADF servers, OSB, etc) to access the abstract WSDL’s. This would avoid all the management issues involved in creating metadata in Dev and needing it to be moved from system to system.
What are the best methods to share enterprise metadata across the environments?

Robert,
while your thoughts make sense conceptually, there are technical constraints that would not allow one central MDS for all your environments. If you take a closer look at your MDS, you will not only find the AIA meta data you described, but also environment specific data such as the deployed composites for a SOA infrastructure that is connected to that MDS.
So the best parctise at this point is to maintain the source of truth of your shared AIA meta data on the file system, typically managed through a source control system. You use a file system level tool to keep the meta data in your AIA Homes in synch as required and then use the usual AIA deployment tools to get this moved to each MDS. I assume this is what you already do anyway.

Error while deploying SOA composite via ant

I am getting following error while deploying SOA composite through ant from SOA server (UNIX).It is unable to get mds configuration.
Jdeveloper is not installed in SOA server.
I am trying to copy the SOA project from local machine to SOA server and trying to deploy from SOA server.

Am I missing anything?

[scac] MDS-01259: The metadata store "oracle.mds.persistence.stores.db.DBMetadataStore" cannot be instantiated.This error tells that the parameters you have given in build.properties are incorrect. Cross check them again. Make sure that property mds.db.userid points to a MDS schema (for example dev_mds)
