hello, are you using the correct JDK version?
if you are using SOA 11.1.1.5 or  11.1.1.6, to use JDK 1.6
Verify your version with:
$java -version

  • Error while starting up SOA server

    Hi All,
    I have OIM installed on a linux 64 bit server with SOA as well. When I start the servers, the Admin and OIM servers get started properly. However when I start SOA I get the following errors in the logs. Also the issue is that none of the default composites for approval workflows are getting loaded into SOA. So whenever I try to raise a request, I get a null exception in the backend oim logs. Also in the em console, soa-infra component, there are no composites deployed and the page shows "No Composites". Can someone please help me for the same?

    Hey $id,
    I remember this warning:
    "<oracle.jps.authorization> <JPS-03001> <Cannot instantiate permission class "oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialAccessPermission", target "context=SYSTEM,name=*", or actions "*" as defined in the system policy context.>"
    I saw this situation once when my Soa Server files were Corrupted into it's domain files:
    To fix this into my environment I did:
    1)I put down the server;2)I went to the domain folder from which the server was started;2)then go to <domain_home>\servers folder. I did a backup and delete the folder with the server name(...$DOMAIN_HOME\servers\soa_server;3)So, after that restart the server. During startup, the deleted folder with all the required files necessary for the server to start will get created again (...$DOMAIN_HOME\servers\soa_server2) .
    This should help if you are facing the domain files corrupt issue as I had.
    I hope this helps,
    Thiago Leoncio.

    Generally this error should not stop server. Carefully check the server startup log and see if there are other errors as well. Post them here. You may consider mailing your server startup log to my id.

  • Memory fault while using impdp

    I'm unable to import a database using impdp; as soon as I start the impdp cmd it errors out with a memory fault
    I was able to previously import 1 TB out of a total of 3 TB, and then got an error related to the new MEMORY_TARGET parameter, complaining about insufficient tmpfs.
    I resolved that error, and then after that I can't invoke impdp without the memory fault error as described below..
    $ nohup impdp "'/ as sysdba'" JOB_NAME=LANCE_FULL_01 parfile=auexpdp.dat &
    [1] 32118
    $ nohup: appending output to `nohup.out'
    [1] + Memory fault nohup impdp "'/ as sysdba'" JOB_NAME=LANCE_FULL_01 parfile=auexpdp.dat &
    $
    I also get the following error in the import log
    ORA-39012: Client detached before the job started.
    This is what my parfile looks like
    directory=dmpdir
    dumpfile=aexp1_%U.dmp,aexp2_%U.dmp,aexp3_%U.dmp,aexp4_%U.dmp
    parallel=8
    full=y
    exclude=SCHEMA:"='MDDATA'"
    exclude=SCHEMA:"='OLAPSYS'"
    exclude=SCHEMA:"='ORDSYS'"
    exclude=SCHEMA:"='DMSYS'"
    exclude=SCHEMA:"='OUTLN'"
    exclude=SCHEMA:"='ORDPLUGINS'"
    include=tablespace
    #transform=oid:n
    logfile=expdpapps.log
    trace=1FF0300
    Has anybody seen this type of error before ?
    Thanks

    Pl post details of OS and database versions

    You should not use '/ as sysdba' for expdp/impdp - use SYSTEM account instead - see the first NOTE sections in these links

  • OutOfMemoryError immediately after starting SOA Server

    Hi,
    I have installed SOA suite 11.1.1.5 and weblogic 10.3.5 on my Windiws 7 64 bit machine with 8GB Ram.
    I have set the system variables to the following:
    EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES: -Xms512m -Xmx512m
    path : C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin
    I have started Weblogic successfully without any problem. When I try to start SOA Server it shows the following error.
    <critical><Health><BEA-310003><Free memory in the server is 4,708,696 bytes. There is a danger or OutOfMemoryError >
    Did I set the heap size correctly. Please advise.
    Edited by: 952205 on Jan 31, 2013 2:55 AM

    Thanks guys. This worked for me.
    Can you give me the heap size value that will give best performance of the servers for my 64 bit machine with 8gb Ram.

  • Jdeveloper is not able to find SOA server

    I am trying to deploy Hello world BPEL project from Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 to standalone Weblogic server 10.3.6. Jdeveloper is able to list servers running (admin server and managed soa-server). However it is not able to find SOA server. I have verified that soa-infra is up and running.
    While trying to find SOA server it fails with Null Pointer Exception with following stack trace:

  • Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError : GC Overhead Limit Exceeded on SOA server

    Hi All,
    We are facing to this java.lang.OutOfMemoryError : GC Overhead Limit Exceeded on issue and we have increased the physical memory of the server to 16GB.
    Modules running in this machine are,
    Oracle DB
    Weblogic Admin server - 10.3.6.0
    Imaging - 11.1.1.6.0
    UCM
    and SOA server
    We can see all these components using only 50% of the memory. But when we trigger BPM instances it triggers above error and system gets really slow.
    PermGen arguments are,
    USER_MEM_ARGS=-Xms1024m -Xmx1536m -XX:PermSize=1024m -XXMaxPermSize=1024m
    JAVA Memory arguments: -Xms1024m -Xmx1536m -XX:PermSize=1024m -XXMaxPermSize=1024m
    This is our Development Environment and planning to give a user demo on this week... ;( but system is really slow....
    What we are to do???
    Quick responses greatly appreciated ...
    Thanks

    You have misspelled the max perm parameter. -XXMaxPermSize=1024m should be -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m
    Not sure if that's the whole issue though.
    Also take a memory dump and see what type of objects that fill upp your memory.
    jmap -dump:format=b,file=$heap_file $proid
    Also look at the parameters for generating a dump when OutOfMemoryError occurs:
    -XX:HeapDumpPath=domain1.hprof
    -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError

  • OIM and corporate SOA server

    Our lead architect would like for OIM to use our corporate SOA cluster instead of the server that is installed with OIM 11g. I don't remember much about the OIM install to know if this is even an option.
    Anyway, what do you guys think? Good idea or not?

    We have a small UI which is a cut-down version of the OIM UI (change password, reset password) that we can expose to the Internet. This uses the OIM Java API. I doubt we would use any SPML. That's the only piece of code that's running outside of OIM. The SOA server would be used just for approval workflows.
    I think my architect is just trying to get all of the SOA stuff in one place, having it clustered and fault tolerant (not that OIM won't be). I just don't get the advantage of that over issues like potentially having to patch/upgrade OIM and this SOA server at the same time and the fact that if the OIM SOA is down it's likely that OIM is down also whereas that's not the case with a separate SOA server. Not sure what havoc that will cause.
    I was hoping that someone would come back and say it cannot be done! So, if it can be done then has anyone done this, why, and how is it working out?

  • Oracle SOA Suite - SOAP Fault content not being returned

    It starts with a fairly standard scenario: from within a BPEL process in Oracle SOA Suite, I’m making a call to an external web service. The not-so-standard part: the owner of the external web service has decided to return all errors in the form of a SOAP fault. Unfortunately, this error schema is not included in the WSDL. If we call the external web service directly (via SOAPUI, for example), we get the following, including a nice explanation of why it errored out:
    <soapenv:Fault xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:err="error.xml.common">
    <faultcode>soapenv:Server</faultcode>
    <faultstring>Undefined</faultstring>
    <detail>
    <err:ErrorList>
    <err:Error>
    <err:Application>CIA</err:Application>
    <err:Code>1031</err:Code>
    <err:Description>Field value is invalid Credit Card Number V failed mod10 check</err:Description>
    <err:ServerTime>2010-02-25T17:37:38.472-05:00</err:ServerTime>
    </err:Error>
    <err:StackTrace>subscription.memberservices.common.exception.ServiceInvocationException: 1031~Field value is invalid Credit Card Number V failed mod10 check

    ... 38 more</err:StackTrace>
    </err:ErrorList>
    </detail>
    </soapenv:Fault>
    No matter what I try, however, I can’t fetch the information in the “detail” element above. When examining the audit trail in SOA Suite, I can only see this:
    <fault>
    <faultType>0</faultType>
    <remoteFault>
    <part name="summary">
    <summary>Undefined</summary>
    </part>
    <part name="detail">
    <detail>javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Undefined</detail>
    </part>
    <part name="code">
    <code>null</code>
    </part>
    </remoteFault>
    </fault>
    It seems SOA Suite is “protecting” my service from the other SOAP fault elements instead of passing everything back, only passing the faultstring element. I even tried adding an ErrorList schema to match theirs but to no avail. Anyone out there have any experience, luck or ideas with this problem?
    Thanks for the assistance,
    Rob

  • Transaction propagation from my EJB to a SOA server

    Hi,
    I am developing ejb Stateless wich need to invoke bpel process. To comunicates from my EJB to SOA I'm using Worklist API an EM API.My SOA server is given me a Out Of Memory and I have seen into diagosis file that my EJB statless Trasaccitóns are trasmited to SOA Server, Is it a normal behaviour? How can avoid a Transactión trasmision?
    Thaks.

    Hi,
    You must analyze inside  the Worklist API and your SOA Server.
    Which SOA Server are using ?
    Which JVM configurations are you using to start the SOA server and Container Server ?
    How much free memory has your machine with started JVM and while running the code section ?
    If everything above going well and if OutOfMemory happen inside your application, you should try Weak and Soft Reference (Be careful with your development while coding).

  • Why "Target Server Memory" = "Total Server Memory" (Permanently)?

    Hello,
    could you please help me to understand why values of next Performance counters are permanently equal?:

    SQLServer:Memory Manager / Total Server Memory (KB)
    22906680 = 22906680
    even after we added 4 GB RAM to this server.

  • Cannot deploy soa app from jdev, cannot find soa server

    I installed/configured weblogic server, SOA, OSB, BAM. I started admin server, I created a managed server for soa: soa_server1, and started the managed server successfully. I opened weblogic console and see soa_server1 is running. I started EM, and see soa_server1 is running, and see the following 4 nodes listed in the left pane of EM:
    weblogic domain, Application deployments, metadata repositories, user messaging services, but not SOA node.
    When I created a simple soa application, and tried to deploy it to the server, JDev couldn't find the SOA server; when I tried to force deploy it by click the finish button, I got the error:
    No SOA configured servers found for deploying the archive file:/C:/zzzz/YY/development/JDev/mySOA/CreditCardValidation/validationForCC/deploy/sca_validationForCC_rev1.0.jar
    (oracle.tip.tools.ide.fabric.deploy.common.SOARemoteDeployer)
    I followed each step of the Oracle SOA tutorial. Where should I configure SOA server? How could I fix the problem?

    you should create an application server connection in your JDeveloper to deploy your composites...
    you can create a new connection by going to File/New/Connections/Application Server Connection...
    while deploying the composite through jdeveloper, select the application server which you have created...
    If possible , bounce the servers again...It should show up...
    Thanks,
    N

  • What is difference between 32 bit and 64 bit sql server memory management

    What is difference between 32 bit and 64 bit sql server memory management
    Thanks
    Shashikala

    This is the basic difference...check if helps:
    A 32-bit CPU running 32-bit software (also known as the x86 platform) is so named because it is based on an architecture that can manipulate values that are up to 32 bits in length. This means that a 32-bit memory pointer can store a value between 0 and
    4,294,967,295 to reference a memory address. This equates to a maximum addressable space of 4GB on 32-bit platforms
    On the other hand 64-bit limit of 18,446,744,073,709,551,616, this number is so large that in memory/storage terminology it equates to 16 exabytes. You don’t come across that term very often, so to help understand the scale, here is the value converted to
    more commonly used measurements: 16 exabytes = 16,777,216 petabytes (16 million PB)➤ 17,179,869,184 terabytes (17 billion TB)➤ 17,592,186,044,416 gigabytes (17 trillion GB)➤
    As you can see, it is significantly larger than the 4GB virtual address space usable in 32-bit systems; it’s so large in fact that any hardware capable of using it all is sadly restricted to the realm of science fiction. Because of this, processor manufacturers
    decided to only implement a 44-bit address bus, which provides a virtual address space on 64-bit systems of 16TB. This was regarded as being more than enough address space for the foreseeable future and logically it’s split into an 8TB range for user mode
    and 8TB for kernel mode. Each 64-bit process running on an x64 platform will be able to address up to 8TB of VAS.
