SOA Suite Installation on Linux 64 bit machine

Hi,
I have to install Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 on a Linux 64 bit machine. I want to install Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 version on the machine because any version above will not be supported on my machine. Here is the list of components I want to install.
1. Oracle Database
2. Weblogic server
3. RCU
4. SOA Suite
5. JDeveloper extension
7. BPM extension
8. Oracle Service Bus
Can anybody tell me where can I get the downloadables for these components for Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 which is Linux 64 bit compatible. I searched the Oracle website but can't find it anywhere? I also looked at edeilivery site of oracle, but no luck. However, if anybody has the URL's to directly download it, then please share.
Thanks,
Saurabh G

Anuj,
Thanks for your response. I can't raise an SR with Oracle since I am learning this on my own.
However to answer your question, I am using Processor AMD, 1.6GhZ with 4 GB RAM.
I have made my system dual boot with Windows 7 and Suse Linux 12.3, both 64 bit operating systems
I have tried to install 11.1.1.6 on my system on windows but the installation got hanged. And when I went for 11.1.1.5 on windows, the installation was smooth and I have it installed on windows7. But now I want to learn to install it on Linux machine also thats why I am asking for 11.1.1.5 downloadables.
Thanks,
Saurabh G

  • SOA Suite Installation on Linux

    Hi all,
Well, I don't have much experience with Linux so I think that it might be the issue here.
I installed the database and now im trying to execute RCU on terminal (./rcuHome/bin/rcu) to create the needed schemmas but i'm getting the following error:
    ./rcuHome/bin/rcu: 276: ./rcuHome/bin/rcu: /home/ideal/rcuHome/jdk/jre/bin/java: not found
I checked RCU home dir and it is ok. /home/ideal/rcuHome/jdk/jre/bin/java is a valid path and the file is there.
I tried searching for this problem on google but with no sucess, i'm stuck on that. Could you guys help me to figure it out and solve this problem?
PS: I opened rcu file to see the script and i think this problem can be related to oracle_home variable but i'm not sure about it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Philip

Anuj, You were right, my linux is 64bit version. Now i'm facing another problem.
I'm able to execute RCU now but when i'm going to especify the database connection details it's giving me "Invalid Service Name".
Well I tried it with: "XE", "xe", "oracle-xe" and does not work so I got my tnsname.ora file to see which SID is configured there. Here it follows:
    # tnsnames.ora Network Configuration File:
    XE = (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)
    (HOST = idealvm)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = XE)
    EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA =(DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS =
    (PROTOCOL = IPC)
    (KEY = EXTPROC_FOR_XE)))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SID = PLSExtProc)
    (PRESENTATION = RO)
I executed the service --status-all command and it listed me: oracle-xe and oracle-shm
I also checked the environment variable value for oracle_sid ( #echo "$ORACLE_SID ) and it returned "XE".
What Am I doing wrong ? RCU is giving me a beating... Do you have any suggestion for this other error? I'm trying now to execute RCU from windows and it's 64bit version too, Do you think this is the problem yet?
    Thanks again,
    Philip

  • ODI installation guide and setup requirement for Linux 64 bit machine

    Hi,
I need to install ODI on linux 64 bit machine.
Kindly provide me the steps and the link to software that are required to be downloaded.
    Thanks.

In OBIEE I have used weblogic server. localhost:7001/em is required to deploy repository.
On my local machine I have installed ODI weblogic server. It is also taking localhost:7001/em to show the ODI-DOMAIN.
If I install it for both ODI and OBIEE will I face any conflict issues.
    What should I do???

  • Oracle SOA Suite Installation with traditional Oracle Infrastructure

    Dear All.
Good day, I have a question related to the Oracle SOA Suite, I need to know if I can use Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 ( the traditional version) which contains the Oracle Infrastructure & Oracle Middle tier on the same product, Business Intelligence & Forms version, to work with Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3 Release 3, to give the authinticatio & authoraization using Oracle Internet Directory not using the Java SSO.
Is this has any effect of development the BPEL Processes or the web services? such as using specific Java containers??
can I use this OAS 10g Realease 2 to deploy the web applications (J2EE) and integrate them with BPEL processes deployed on the Oracle SOA Suite Installation??
I really need help, thank you in-advance
    Adham Hattab

    Hello.
When you install SOA Suite you get typically a "home" and "oc4j_soa" container. You can deploy apps into the "home" container if you wish. Technically you could also deploy into oc4j_soa, but I strongly suggest leaving it alone!
You can also do a 2nd Oracle install in a new Oracle Home to just have a J2EE server, in order to deploy web apps. Or, you can use WebSphere, Sun, or WebLogic, too. You can add a new OC4J container to your Oracle app server home. That is what we do typically - that way large apps can have their own JVM and memory, you can restart an OC4J container to "reboot" a problem app without impacting apps in other OC4J containers, etc.
You can configure OAS to use OID or any 3rd-party LDAP for authentication/authorization, including Active Directory. At our site we use OID Directory Integration and Provisioning (DIP) to import AD users/groups into OID. This way corporate users/groups/logins are all available to OID, making SSO that much more powerful, with no need to create new accounts just for OAS.
The install docs and/or MetaLink (My Oracle Support now) should have details on what versions of OAS work with OID. As I mentioned, we have Business Intel. & Forms (10.1.2) and SOA Suite (10.1.3.3) both using OID 10.1.4.0.1 (which itself is on top of OAS 10.1.2.2).

  • OutOfMemoryException On SOA Suite installed in Linux on Amazon Cloud

Hello, I need information about if exist any type of optimization for the SOA Suite Installed on Linux in a Cloud Aazon.
The problem is that after working for a long time, the suite turns very slow and throws errors such as OutOfMemoryException.
anyone knows how to fix this?
    Thankyou very much.

Can you post the out-of-memory error's complete info here? There could be many reasons behind an out-of-memory error.
For the benefit of other users of this community,
If you see anything related to OutOfMemory due to Number of Threads, then set -Xss memory option to a higher value.
If OutOfMemoryError thrown for the reason of PermGen Space size exceed then set -XX:MaxPermSize memory option to a higher value.
-sever option helps to deal faster in thread context switching.
-Xms and -Xmx options set starting heap size and maximum heap size respectively. Make these two values equal to get best performance in server mode and minimize GC cycle.

We have done SOA 10G installation on VM ware machine which was configured on a windows box. After installation we are able to access the BPEL/ESB/EM consoles directly from the server where the installation is done but not able to access the same from our local machine.
    Please advice.

How do you try to access console? what url do you use?
From what components you want to check the ports asigned? Only Oc4j's, webcache, http_server and oid should show something here.
Did you check the file $OH/install/portlist.ini and opmn.xml, rmi.xml?

Usually, when you choose for example Oracle Service Bus Extension - Single Server Domain Topology - 11.1.1.3 [Oracle_OSB1], the dependencies are automatically chosen as well.
If this not happening, just add the products it is suggesting in the error, such as Oracle Service Bus OWSM Extension - 11.1.1.3 [Oracle_OSB1] .
