Soa suite on weblogic server 10.0??? URGENT!!!!!

hi,
we have a requirement to use ejb3.0 in our project. we are using soa suite on weblogic server 9.2. but weblogic 9.2 is not supporting ejb3.0 ( i guess). so we want to migrate weblogic server form 9.2 to 10.0. my doubt,is Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.3 is compatible with weblogic server 10.0??
otherwise any alternative??
please help me out.
Thanks in advance.

You are correct - SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 is not certified with WLS 10.x. We are currently in the process of certifying SOA Suite 10.1.3.4 with WLS 10.3.

  • How can I use custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in Weblogic

    Hi There,
I'm trying to view and search the weblogic log files using WLST on a Solaris/Unix system.
I have come across this "custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite" and thought of using the custom logging commands to get my task done.
However, my WLST shell is not recognizing the commands and giving me the NameError!
    wls:/devDomain1/domainRuntime> listLogs()
    Traceback (innermost last):
    File "<console>", line 1, in ?
    NameError: listLogs
I tried the commands listLogs, displayLogs, getLogLevel & setLogLevel but in vain!
I have followed the instructions as per the oracle recommendation of using Custom WLST commands (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/core.1111/e10105/getstart.htm#ASADM10692) as below
    - Launched the WLST shell from Oracle Home.
    cd ORACLE_HOME/common/bin
    ./wlst.sh
    - Tried to run the listLogs command from domainRuntime()
I would like to know if I need to import any additional libraries to run the custom WLST commands for Oracle SOA Suite in my WLST shell?
I have only weblogic 10.3.1 server installed on my Solaris 10 machine on which I have deployed the OSB application software.
There is no SOA Suite installed.
Or is there any other way I can browse the Server Log file and get the list of log messages? Basically I would like to use this feature in my script to customize it according to my requirement of listing specific error logs which I can work it out if I know how to make these commands work.
Please advise if this is possible and how?
    Cheers.
    Satish

I have tried on my OSB installation (no SOA Suite here), the command listLogs() works (I was in online mode, after a connect), and the classpath is:

  • Possible to run soa suite without admin server?

    Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to run the SOA components on a managed server without the admin server running. I intended to shutdown the admin server in production but when I do that I get errors in my (managed) soa server. I believe this was possible previously. Why does it need the admin server?
    version is 10.3.3

    Hi,
do you mean in weblogic domain without running admin server you were able to run managed(soa) servers???
Without admin server how Managed servers gets start?
Though there is a concept in weblogic server called MSI mode,in that case managed servers can be running withut admin server, but very first time you have to start Admin server followed by Managed servers.
    Thanks,
    Deba

  • SOA 11g on WebLogic Server

I'm trying to smoke out next generation environment (JDev 11g + WebLogic 10g) but I'm facing following problem. I have 2 servers, one on my machine, my local WebLogic and general dev server. What can be wrong ?

WLS is very picky if the xml files doesn't contain the elements it expects. Your <connection>-jdbc.xml contains information you want but also others are expected therefore the error messages. The XSD (weblogic-jdbc.xsd) can be found in $SOAHOME/modules/com.bea.cie.config-schema_10.3.2.0.jar.
Check your <connection>-jdbc.xml in your META-INF of the EAR file.

    Hi All,
I have been using following tools on windows developing soa applications.
    Jdeveloper 11g
    Oracle Soa suite 11g
    Weblogic server 10.1.3
    Soa server
I am going good with all these on windows. able to create bpel processes and able to deploy and run on soa/weblogic server.
Now, I want to install same setup on Mac book pro.
Can anyone please guide me how it is going to be different on Mac compared to what I have been always doing on windows ?
Difference in terms of installation files, version issues if any. Does the same installation files work for Mac as well (since its Java - I am guessing it is same for all platforms including Mac). pl correct me with valuable inputs.
    thanks,
    pp

Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.2 is the Patchset released for Oracle SOA Suite 11gR1. It includes new features like SOA Composer.
It is a production ready version only else it would be mentioned as BETA or something. I haven't faced any issues with adapters there.
You can install the software, test your apps, make sure it works before adopting it.

  • Opatch on Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 is missing opatch script

I am try to setup the SOA suite on weblogic server 9.2 . the 6511843 patchset - p6511843_101330_Generic.zip for bug 6511843. does not have opatch script and the procedure is missing for the basic SOA suite 10.1.3.3.
i was unable to execute :
    On Windows:%ORACLE_HOME%\perl\5.6.1\bin\MSWin32-x86\perl changeNamesWindows.pl <OC4J container name>
    opatch apply
changeNamesWindows.pl does not exist in any of the folder in server .
i am following in the procedure given in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10291_01/doc.1013/e11848.pdf
and stuck at the step 5 of the installation
need help with a detail procedure.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
The zip p6511843_101330_Generic.zip contains a README.txt which explains the steps to be followed to apply this patch.
    In the README.txt
    Refer to Section2 point No.1.
Get the latest Opatch from metalink for bug 2617419.[this zip will contain a Opatch Directory].Extract this zip into your Oracle SOA home.[ex: C:/product/101.3.1/OracleAS_1]
Also make sure that the Opatch directory in set in the path.
Since we are running this Opatch on a Basic SOA installtion , you don't have to execute the changeNamesWindows.pl script[make sure that you have installed Basic version of SOA and not the Advanced].
This patch will not work on Advanced Install.
    You can directly excute
    opatch apply.
Follow the remaining steps mentioned in README.txt.
    Thanks

  • SOA Suite & Weblogic Suite licenses

    Hi
I need help to understand the difference in licensing between SOA Suite and Weblogic Suite.
If we plan to run SOA suite, is that mean that we need to have a SOA Suite license and a Weblogic Suice license or it is enough to have an SOA Suite licens.
    Thanks
    Regards
    /Martin
    Edited by: 890736 on 2011-okt-13 03:58

    Hi Martin
As far as I know, the licenses are different for both these products.
    1. Weblogic Server has its own license and this Weblogic Suite DO NOT include any SOA Suite components. It just includes weblogic server and coherence.
    2. SOA Suite has its own license and this do NOT include any Weblogic server. SOA Suite includes like soa components, BPM, business rules, BAM, WebServicesManagement etc. Now, this SOA Suite can be installed only on top of the Weblogic Server.
So if you want to use SOA/BPM Suite, then first you need to buy license for Weblogic Server. Then buy SOA/BPM Suite License.
This is how it was 2 yrs back when SOA 11.3 was released. I think, same thing applies to latest versions also.
Incase if licensing has changed recently, I hope someone from Oracle Product Team, can share their views.
    Thanks

  • Problems in starting up Application Server Control from SOA Suite

I have an issue starting up the Application Server Control page from the SOA Suite (10.1.3.1.0) welcome page. I can open all other control pages by entering the oc4jadmin/<password> where <password> is the password specified at the time of installing (Standard Install) the SOA suite.
Application Server Control accepts the oc4jadmin/<password>, but shows another page to "Supply Administration Credentials". The following error message is shown on the page.
    +++++++++
This OC4J is configured to make JMX connections via RMIS and fall back to RMI if the RMIS port is not configured. The RMIS connection on the OC4J instance home on Application Server shara.SHARA_HP is configured but a connection could not be established. The JMX protocol is specified by the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol property in opmn.xml
You are logged in as oc4jadmin.
Enter the credentials for a cluster-wide user in the oc4j-administrators group. These credentials are needed by Application Server Control to make remote connections.
    * User Name

Has any one encountered this? Any clues where to look for things? Initially I had the problem with all the controls due to my computer name as it has an underscore ie., SHARA_HP. I had to use localhost to overcome this ie., http://localhost:8888/em
    Any help/clue would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Maha

At install time there is a question that asked if you would like to configure adminstration now. (Something like that). By default this is not checked. If you did not check it you cannot access enterprise manager.
The is probably a way to configure it, but it might be faster reinstalling.
There is a simple way to de install by going to the ORACLE_HOME/bin and run the deinstall script.
    cheers

Please let me know in case anybody has faced this issue.
    Thanks,
    Makrand

Hi, it´s a little late, but it may help to someone else.
I just got the same error on deployment and realized i was going through a proxy server, who was responding with a http 503 code to deployment request from JDeveloper. Just check your proxy settings under Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and proxy and add an exception if needed.
I also had to restart JDeveloper (a bug?) after adding the exception to correct the issue.
    regards,
    Pedro.

You should follow the installtion guide of SOA Suite on Weblogic, in this case it is only running on on an Oracle database not on OLite. Furthermore check that you do NOT have set any settings related to CLASSPATH / ORACLE / JAVA.
