SOAMANAGER - ECC 6.0

Hi
I am trying to test a web service using SOAMANAGERon ECC 6.0, using link on SDN http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/20b723f8-a422-2c10-aca5-e64eeda1ff2&overridelayout=true
Configured SICF and SOAMANAGER, and i click on "Open WSDL document for selected binding" to get URL
Next step i click on "Open Web Service navigator for selected binding" and give the URL from step above
I receive the following message
Cannot download WSDL from http://lvdpe01.erp.intra:8000/sap/bc/srt/xip/sap/ecc_purchaseorder003qr/200/ecc_purchaseorder003qr/ecc_purchaseorder003qr_binding: Invalid Response Code: (404) Not Found. The request URL was:"http://lvdpe01.erp.intra:8000/sap/bc/srt/xip/sap/ecc_purchaseorder003qr/200/ecc_purchaseorder003qr/ecc_purchaseorder003qr_binding". Check, whether the URL is correct, and the Web Service that you are requesting is up and running.
Any help is much appreciated
Cheers

  • Issue: SOAMANAGER using Web service in ECC 6.0

    Hi Experts,
I created a WebService in SAP ECC6.0 using a Remote enabled function module which has one input field and Six output fields.
In ECC 6.0 WSCONFIG,WSADMIN and LPCONFIG Tcodes are obsolete .So i have using tcode SOAMANAGER settings like Applications and Scenario Communications->Single Service Administrater-> link i have searched my newly created Webservice ->Apply settings ->Open Web Service navigator for selected binding -> getting URL and XML code on that..
Let me know any configuratons or authorizatio in my SOAMANAGER to test WS.or How to setup the WSNAVIGATOR for this scenario.
    Regards,
    Samruth.

    Hi,
if you have created WS for RFC FM then and you just want to test it then you can use program ESD_TEST_TOOL.
execute this program and provide the WS name.  it willl show request tab. you will have button XML editor. click it and provide the input value and then execute it.
The test result will be displayed in Response tab.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

  • SOAMANAGER - Alternative URLs for WSDLs and Endpoints  in ECC

    Hi All,
We are publishing enterprise services using SOAMANGER transaction in ECC system. In
our development environments we have no problem with the process.
However in our cert and production environments we have loadbalancers,
with SSL offload, and so both port and URLs for the endpoints and WSDLs
need to reflect the different port/url introduced via our loadbalancer
    and SAP web-dispatchers.
We have looked at note 11325985, which provides good guidance - however
when we use the alternative host / port as described on page 2 of the
note the service cannot be saved and activated -
    Steps for Reconstruction
Run Transaction SOAMANAGER in one of our ECC systems SED/SEQ/SEP
Activate a standard SAP enterprise service, i.e
    ECC_CUSTBASICDATABYIDQR_V2
In the Transport Settings tab of the Configuration of Web Service we
enter alternative URL - our load balancers URL for cert is
erp.XXX.com and for prod erp.XXX.com. When we save the
service it produces the following error ( when we don't specify an
    alternative Access URL there is no error;

    1-Use the Tx: SRT_TOOLS
2-Double-click on "Display of Extended Service in Current Client Configurations"
3-Complete the "Configuration Name" with the name of the endpoint / service
    4-Click on run
5-Double-click on the "Configuration Name" found in the left tree

  • Run time error while testing a service through transaction SICF/SOAMANAGER

    Hi all,
We created a service for publishing the function module in web services through WSDL. When we try to test the service using SICF transaction / SOAMANAGER transaction, we get a run time error.
We are not sure whether any other  settings or steps required for testing the web services..
Could you please let us know which steps/configurations we are missing?

Please ask you Basis admin to perform the following.
    1) Check wether the Java Stack ( Portal, BI system etc) is avaliable in your landscape.
    2) Execute tcode SOAMANAGER in ECC system. This will take you to a new browser where you have to login with your SAP username and password. Under SOA MANAGEMENT you can see Technical Configuration tab>click on System Global Settings>and select Access Information J2EE server. Here provide the hostname and the port number. Save the entries.
3)Execute tcode SMICM>Goto>Services. Here you can check for the HTTP Service Name/Port number
    4) Activate the required services from tcode SICF

  • Provider Webservice in Backend ECC system (NW 7.0, Enp1) and PI /XI 7.0,

    Hello
Our backend ECC is on EnhP4 (there by NW 7.0, EnhP1), As I understand, since NW 7.0, SP 14, webservices runtime has been changed significantly to support asynchronous webservices (through WS-RM).
This ECC system is connected to our PI 7.0 system. In the back end ECC system, when I create ABAP server proxy for a synchronous interface from SPROXY, the generated proxy is also visible as a service in SOAMANAGER. However, when I do the same for asynchronous interface, the service is not visible in SOAMANAGER.
Is this an expected behavior? Does this mean, we can only expose 'out side in' approach webservices in synchronous mode if the ESR is of version 7.0? The reason I say this is when I connect the same ECC system a PI 7.1 system, I am able to expose asynchronous services that are generated out of SPROXY.
The intent here is to design the interfaces in XI 7.0, expose them as web service in ECC and consume the webservice using another EAI tool that supports WS-RM.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    KK

    Stefan
Thanks. Your answer makes sense with what we are observing. Do you know if this is documented somewhere in help documentation or some note.
On another note what doesn't make sense to me is why this limitation? Not sure what I am missing. Doesn't the webservice runtime in NW 7.0 support WS-RM from SP14. Why should it be dependent on the version of PI in case of point to point webservice. Unless you say we can use WS-RM in back end NW 7.0 through PI 7.1's WS adapter only.
For me this sounds like a limitation on the NW 7.0/SP14 side. What do you think?

  • Testing a ABAP Web Service in ECC 6.0

    Hi all,
I am trying create web services from ABAP using a RFC function module in ECC 6.0. Once the service got created and did configurations in SOAMANAGER also. When trying to test the service using the web service navigator it requests for WSDL URL and when provided the URL, i am getting the below error
Cannot download WSDL from http://tuasd06db.tuasw2k.tuaspower.com.sg:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DE7C08A93E4CF7F1AF60001A64258BFC/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=220: It is not allowed to access this service. If you believe you should be able to, please contact your system administrator.
As i am new to Web services, is it due to any of the configurations missing or any authorization problem.
P.S: All the relevant services are active in SICF. I have added a new UDDI service registry also. Have entererd the J2EE server details in the System global settings under Technical configuration.
    Cheers,

    Hi,
You need to configure the Web Services Navigator WHITE LIST :
    [SAP help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/b7/d7baaf1481a349ab723e3acd7334b3/frameset.htm]
    5. To configure Web Service Navigator White List, in the Allowed Hosts field, enter hostnames or parts of hostnames of remote systems, to which you are allowed to connect via Web Services Navigator. To separate entries, use semicolons (, you can use an asterisk (), or a question mark (?), as wildcards. For example, if you want to enable connection to all remote systems, in the Allowed Hosts field, enter an asterisk ().
I still have one issue standing with web services. Will appreciate if you can help me with that.

  • PI 7.1, ECC 6.0 EP3, CE 7.1, and ES Bundles.  SR question

    Hi everyone,
We have a ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack 3, PI 7.1 (using the ESR and SR here),  and CE 7.1 sandbox enviroment.
I'm having difficulty getting the Enterprise Services available as part of Enhancement Pack 1, 2, and 3 to show up in the Service Registry.
We are following the guide "CE, ESR, AND DISCOVERY SYSTEM BUILDING AN END-TO-END ENTERPRISE SOA SCENARIO", https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/108ef7ba-8abd-2a10-f787-d5f29c5f1b88
All of the references to CE we have been replacing with PI since we want to use the SR that came with PI instead of CE.
We can get all the way up to step 6 in section 3.3 where it tells us to use LPCONFIG to create a logical port pointing to the Service Registry.    We we run this tcode we get a message telling us to go to SOAMANAGER to perform the operation however I cant seem to find any documentation telling how to do this.  I also dont understand why this step is needed.
Fundamentally, I do understand that ECC 6.0 is the provider for all of the Enterprise Webservices and that we need to perform configuration there to tell it how to publish those services to the SR so that they may be available to the consumer applications.
Also, if we are planning to use PI as a ESB, does this change any of how we might configure things?

I found this link on how to create a logical port in SOAMANAGER
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/44/cc8fd368c873dfe10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
When I follow the directions, I do not see a 'Call Parameters' tab.  Any idea where this might be?

  • Unable to see ECC proxies in PI Service Registry

I am trying to consume ECC proxies in PI service registry but I cannot see any ECC backend proxies in PI. I have gone through several blogs, configuration guides and sdn forums to get this to work but could not. In ECC, if I use SOAMANAGER, I can see my proxy and web service in web service administration but I cannot see it in PI. I have done the following:
    - System Global Settings
In Service Registry, I have defined proxy class as CO_SERVICES_REGISTRY_FLAT_SI, set to primary, logical port defined as default_port.
    - On ECC WS administration, setup end points and binding.
    - setup ID configuration objects for this scenario (WS to Proxy -> Proxy to WS Synchronous)
    - Proxy creation in ECC also completed.
    - Also checked in WSPARAM settings, same as WS Admin Service Registry.
    - WSPUBLISH - getting error in ECC: RCVR_DETERMINATION.NO_RECEIVER_CASE_BE No receiver could be determined, Error retrieving Services Registry (SR) version information, Error retreiving physical system from Services Registry, Exception raised during physical system publication. Code.
and in PI getting error:  INTERNAL.PROXY_NOT_ALLOWED_ON_IS Proxy calls are not permitted on sender or receiver side on the IS (client), Error retrieving Services Registry (SR) version information, No Publication possible from Integration Server(IS).
    - Created type H RFC destinations in both ECC and PI.
Since WSADMIN, WSCONFIG and LPCONFIG have been combined into SOAMANAGER, are there any other settings I have to do as far as ECC communicating with PI Web Service and PI consuming ECC proxies? Did I miss anything here?
Most of the PI documenation, blogs and guides are outdated for previous versions. We are using SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.1.
    Thank you!

  • Service not found in Soamanager of PI 7.1

    Hi Team,
We had a scenario where we need to send data from SOAP to R3 system using Proxy in synchronous way.
since our PI is 7.1 & ECC is 6.0 EHP1, we had followed the PDF "Service Enabling with SAP PI 7.1"; which is posted in SDN.
we had implimented the PROXY in ECC system.
Now where do we need to create the Service & End point?
in ECC we do not have SOAMANAGER, so we created the service in ECC using Wizard, then we published the Service Interface for which we created the proxy in ECC system. Now we are able to see the service interface in Service Registry.
As a next step we need to configure the service in SOAMANAGER. But we are not able see the service to create the endpoint which was created in ECC system in SOAMANAGER of PI system.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sriram

    Hi Sri ram,
Why do you want to service enable the interface?
You can directly create a server abap proxy for your inbound interface and do the mapping between the Sender (Outbound INterface and the inbound interface in your ESR).
Do the configuration for SOAP to PROXY in your ID. Thats enough.
You do not need to create an enterprise service to send a soap message to R/3.
But if you still want to create a enterprise service in your backend system, the steps you have followed are sufficlent.
You can provide the wsdl that you see in your Service Registry to the appication that wants to consume it.

  • Web service deploy in ECC or in XI

    Hello,
I am bit confused on deployment of Web services. I found that we can deploy BAPI/RFC in ECC using wsadmin or soamanager. This means Can i access this web service from third party system with out using XI.
But, i heard this is obsolete now and we should XI for this.
This means Do i need to create scenario in XI as SOAP-RFC..where RFC on ECC and expose this interface as web service in XI using RFC adapter..
what is the best way, and how can i deploy BAPi as web service.... If I deploy it on ECC what is use of XI in this case.
Can i call this BAPI deployed WS from Java system.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas

    Hi ,
You can always generate the wsdl from bapi by going to the link mentioned below and can invoke the WS from any other Web System. It will behave like normal web service.
    Link to generate the wsdl:
    http://<ECCserver>:<port>/sap/bc/soap/wsdl11?services=<FunctionName>&sap-client=<client>
You can save the wsdl and use in in your client to invoke this. There is no need of XI in this case.
Howsoever as best practice, to achieve ESOA the webservices should be located at central location(XI) and should be invoked from there.
Reward points if this answers your question and helpful.
    Thanks
    Amit

  • How to trace Logs for WebService connectivity - 3rd Party to ECC

    Hi Experts,
Basically it's a simple scenario, the 3rd party will send a soap request with the information in it and wiill be sent to ECC and be written on a table.
I'm wondering on how to trace logs on the soap request sent from 3rd party to an ECC environment. I used Altova XMLSpy and soapUI and  to create a soap request from wsdl created in SOAMANAGER. Both of the software returns a response. Do these both of these software really sends data (soap request) going to the binded address or it's just i simulation that wsdl created is valid.
    Cheers,
    R-jay

    Hello,
These third party tools send web service requests to SAP system. You can trace Service invocation and download the request and response payloads using SOAMANAGER. In Logs and Trace tab,  edit the Trace configuration with suitable trace level and expiration time.
    Thanks,
    Venu
