SOAMANAGER "Global System Settings" link not found

Dear Sirs,
We are trying to integrate SRM 7.01 with ECC 6.0 EhP 6 using Web Services without using PI.
We have come accross blog "Transfer of central contract from SRM to ECC using Web Services without PI"
by Naveen Rajan.
However we cannot find the link "Global System Settings". Is there any certain configuration we have missed?
Could it be the SLD (taken from the business system name) ?
Where do we set this up?

Hi Bala,
Are you putting anything in the Global SNP Setting Profile field. If Yes, you have to define the profile in SNP Customizing under Maintain Global SNP Settings. After defining, anyone of these is to be activated.

Global Operational settings is not found

Hi Team,
I am working on OSB 10.3.0 version. I tried to create the ALSBCustomization.xml file from one of our project Integration servers and tried to execute the same in my local setup. Once the execution done in my local, on console I am getting continuous error logs showing "global opertional settings" not found. When i searched in "create customization File" in my local. Surprisingly it is not showing "global operational settings" in "system" option. Now I have only 2 options.
1. Add the "global operational settings". (tried to create again and execute, but it is not working)
2. Remove the "ALSBcustomization.xml" (tried googling but still don't find an answer to execute the same)
Hope somebody here faced the same issue and I am looking eagerly for the solution. Expecting light fast and accurate replies from you experts.

This is what I have for JCS 6 setup (verified that it works as well):
Server tab:
Incoming mail server: mail.foobar.com port 143
Outgoing mail server: mail.foobar.com port 25
LDAP server (Global Address List): ldap.foobar.com port 389
LDAP server (User settings): ldap.foobar.com port 389
Address book server: convergence.foobar.com port 80
Calendar server: calendar.foobar.com port 8004
LDAP tab:
Search base: o=foobar.com,o=isp
VLV search filter is the default value
VLV sort attribute is cn
Require authentication is checked
User DN pattern is uid=%s,ou=people,o=foobar.com,o=isp
Retrieve user settings from LDAP should be checked
User DN pattern is the same as under 'Require authentication'
Address book tab:
Sun Java System Address Book Server Settings needs to have iwc/svc in the right hand side.
The server tab entry for address book server will automatically be on the left side of the field.

Global SNP settings could not be read

Hello Gurus,
We are currently upgrading our system from SCM4.0 to SCM5.0.
Whenever I call SNP heuristics a message appears stating that "Global SNP settings could not be read" I have looked into the note 692369, however, we havent migrated to production yet.
Could anyone please help me on this?

System settings does not allow changes to be made to object

Hi,
In one of my test system, when i tried to change the object its displaying following error message.
System settings does not allow changes to made to the object.
I have checked the settings in se03, regarding modification objects of software components and namespace those are in state of modifiable for this namespace object.
I would like to know, how to change the object in the namespace.

Hi,
In SE06, in addtion to system status and component status, check the namespace status too.
It would be better if you know the namespace of the object you are trying to modify. Set it to modifiable and retry.
To find namespace, open the object in SE80 and check the attributes. It would show assigned package, namespace, component etc.

System Settings will not save my desired mouse scroll direction

I understand the Apple genius of wanting the Settings: Mouse: Scroll direction: Natural box to be checked. But **** it, this is MY iMac and I want the scroll direction to remain Unchecked, so the screen scrolls in the direction I’ve been used to for YEARS.
The problem is the System Settings will not save the unchecked scroll box. I have to return to the System Settings every time I log on to UN check the Scroll Direction: Natural box.
Will Apple ever fix this so that I, and others, can operate the scrolling as THEIR LONG-TIME USER sees fit?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

I had installed SAP NetWeaver 2004s Sneak Preview-ABAP
I am able to create database table using tcode: SE11
but I get an error when I tried to create table entries
Error:
The system settings do not allow any changes
Message no M0421
Diagnosis
The system settings (SE06 and SCC4) are such that you cannot make any changes to this table in this client

-> Automatic recording of changes (Option-selected)

System Writer is not found when running SystemState

I ran DPM backups and got errors when i was tring to run system state, realised i get the error "System Writer is not found"in windows backup. I checked VSS admin list writers and system writer was not stated in output.
I there after ran to google and tried to follow https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2009272?wa=wsignin1.0 however that didnot work because my event ID registered error ID 8193 which i as well googled and ended up on https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/7b52f7c1-a783-409e-9af3-da64567676df/vss-error-8193?forum=winserverfiles
But i didnot have any profilesthat had BAK extension or id in them. So now i am still stuck with tihis problem. Any help highly appreciated.

System attribute "Client" not found.

I try to setup connection to my BW and R/3, and still not able to make it work.
And i have map the user id too.
fro the support menu ->system landscape cockpit , i do these :
Check for launching WinGUI and PlatinGUI transactions

First answer to you question is: Not at all.
Follow the below steps to create R/3 system.
1. Create R/3 system in the System Adminstration->System Configuration by choosing R/3 Connect via Connection String.
2. Then enter the following properties.
Connection String to Application : <Application server>
Logon Method : <UIDPW>
SAP Client: <clinenumber>
SAP System ID:
SAP System NUmber:
System Name:
System Type:
3.Create System Alias
4.User Mapping
5. Test Connection.

Global security settings do not save

Hello,
I'm using Flash version 10,0,12,36 on a new XP Pro 64bit
system. We are running Flash projects from a network drive which
works just fine on 32bit systems by allowing folder permissions in
the Global Security Settings manager. These settings will not save
on the 64bit version. The only reason I can think of is that the
32bit "program files" directory is called "program files (x86)"
which may not be what the player is looking for when attempting to
save the setting.
Is there a way to fix this?

It's cause the SP 2 sux, change the security settings and try again, in MSIE you can do this under the Edit or Tools menu.

System settings do not react

A few weeks ago, i wanted to change my background via system settings. Suddenly the systems settings stopped and i wasnt able to close it or to come back to the main menu of the system settings. all i could do was to close it via cmd+alt+esc.
Now i got the problem, that everytime i want to open the system settings i am directed to the "background" but i cant go back to main menu because the program does not react.
Can someone help me please????

If the re-boot suggested by Shootist007 doesn't work then ensure that System Preferences is closed. If I were you I'd go into Activity Monitor and check that the process isn't running even though you can't see the window. Next, drag the following file to the trash:
<home>/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache
Do not delete it from the trash just yet, just in case you need to restore it. Now restart System Preferences, it will re-create the cache file and hopefully sort your problem.

I am using c# wmi calls to connect to connect to ISCSI LUN through ISCSI initiator. I am using windows server 2012 r2. From server manager I am able to connect through ISCSI initiator. From GUI every thing is working fine. I am able to list ISCSISessions
through ISCSISession.GetInstances() in c# code. WmiExplorer is also showing that connect method is there. Generated class contains the connect() method.

ICompanyService.GetGeneralService(System.String) Method Not found error

When I am running my code in SAP 2007, I am getting following on calling of UDO.
Method not found: 'SAPbobsCOM.GeneralService SAPbobsCOM.ICompanyService.GetGeneralService(System.String)'
I could not understand why this error is occuring, although same code in running very well in SAP 8.8 and 8.81.
Please suggest me a solutions.

Regional Settings link not shows

We have users in the UK that were on a separate domain. Our Network team used a 3rd party product migrate their AD account to our domain. When the UK users click on their My Settings Link they do not see "my regional settings" I
checked the permissions and all authenticated users can edit their profile.
The odd thing is that if they click on My Settings in a site where their old domain account had permission The regional settings link is there.
We did not use the sp_migrate user feature because our Network people were doing a domain migration.
I cant see to find anything on this. Can some one assist

When you say All Authenticated Users can Edit their profile did you mean you have assign them permission to Edit personal user information?

System restore - 'file not found' nightmare

I have a very large collection of classical and jazz music which has required a lot of manual input to get the track info right.
The music is held on an external hard drive and itunes itself is on my PC hard drive.
Recently I had to carry out a system restore.
This deleted all my itunes programmes and library files but created an Old Windows directory into which they were saved.
So I had to re-install itunes and copied over the library and xml files from the Old Windows directory
While the music now displays correctly in itunes nothing will play and I just get a 'the original file cannot be found message' for every single track.
We're talking thousands of tracks here so locating them one by one is not an option - and as they are classical music I need to keep all the track information as in hundreds of cases it had to be entered manually because itunes and other programmes to retrieve data are totally useless for classical music.
I have no ipod to back up from as the whole point of the exercise is to get my music files on the PC into a shape where they can be sync'd to an ipod without most of them showing as 'unknown'.
Any suggestions? - the old xml and library files still exist, the mp3s they should refer to have not actually moved as they are on the same external drive - surely there must be a way to do this without locating each individual track?

Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
Select a track that is currently missing in action and use CTRL-I to *Get Info*. When prompted to try to locate the missing file say no, then look at the Where or Location entry on the Summary tab. Now find the actual file. Compare the two paths. Typically with a rebuild all that will have happened is that your external drive has been assigned a different drive letter from that which it had previously. Ideally all you need to do is to rearrange the drive letters so that each file is restored to its original path and then iTunes will be happy.
If for some reason that is not possible then I have a script that should be able to reconnect tracks provided they are in a predictable location. You can download the current version of SwitchLinks and test it out on a few tracks first to see if works as expected. If not, let me know what happens and I'll try to update it accordingly.
