SOAP/HTTP request

Hi,
I need to build a BPEL process that will receive a SOAP/HTTP request.
can any one explain the work arround.
1. Do I need the schema for incoming SOAP message?.
2. Do i need to change the wsdl?.
3. Will BPEL support SOAP attachments if so is there any work arround?.
I am currently using Oracle BPEL 10.1.2.0.2.
Your help would be appreciated..
Thanks,
Mamatha

The WSDLs in 10.1.3.1 will take SOAP requests - not sure about what you would have to do for 10.1.2.x
Knowing the XSD of the SOAP request, and being able to import it as a schema will make things a lot easier - use the SOAP XSD to replace the payload variable element for request and response message types.
Not sure about attachments...

    You can also use JAX-WS which can be found at http://jax-ws.dev.java.net.

  • SOAP Adapter Sender PI7.1: 400 Bad HTTP request

    Hello,
    I have a problem with a SOAP adapter sender communication channel.
    I'm trying to migrate a scenario from XI 3.0 to PI7.1 SP6 (PI_BASIS 2006_1_710 SAPKIPYN06).
    I can send messages successfully to the old system using the URL
        http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BC_Name:CC_SOAP_Sender
    On PI7.1 I get
        400 Bad HTTP request
        Error: -21
        Version: 7010
        Component: HTTP_PLG
        Module: http_plgrt_mt.c
        Line: 5226
        Error Tag:
        Detail: illegal request version
    I have created a Sender Agreement, generated the wsdl from that and tried the URL in there.
    Surprisingly it has the old format, namely
        http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=&senderService=BC_Name&receiverParty=&receiverService=&interface=myInterface&interfaceNamespace=urn:my.Interface:ns
    although the 7.1 documentation describes the ?channel=party:service:channel style only.
    Anyway, the result remains the same.
    I tried some other approaches like escaping the colons in the URL without success.
    The user has the role SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE assigned.
    Any idea what's wrong here?
    Thanks in advance
    Rainer

    >>In RWB the channel appears as "started but inactive".
    Yeah,it will be like that because you are posting messages directly to Integration server."Propose URL" does that.You are bypassing the adapter engine when you use the URL generated by "Propose URL" button.
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/21/using-the-soap-inbound-channel-of-the-integration-engine
    The above blog gives the reason for this,if you want to bypass the adapter engine,then generate the URL as given in the above blog
    /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/03/01/testing-xi-exposed-web-services
    This blog explains how to post message to adapter engine,here you need to change the URL,don't click on "Propose URL" button.You can monitor SOAP adapter in RWB only if you generate the URL as given in second blog
    The URL which is working for you in XI 3.0 is posting messages to adapter engine,so generate the URL in PI 7.1 in the same way,by following the second blog i have mentioned.
    Thanks

  • Only HTTPS requests are working for SOAP Sender and HTTP not working

    wHi Experts,
    We have enabled our HTTPS port ( SSL ) in NWA -- >> Security -- >> SSL and Key stores. So understanding is HTTPS port is now enabled on top of HTTP. So PI should be able to cater requests at both ports.
    Now, we have developed a synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario and downloaded WSDL file. This file has both links -
    a. http:<host>:<port>
    b. https:<host>:<port>
    We intend to make a PI system where both ports can work. Now questions.
    1. When we test web service exposed from PI using SOAPUI tool, only HTTPS works fine and gets the response back. If we try HTTP URL, an error is encountered - HTTTPS scheme is required.
    2. Is this whole understanding that both ports  ( HTTP, HTTPS ) should be able to operate simultaneously correct ? Or this is not at all possible ?
    3. In SOAP Sender, we tried selecting all 3 options - 1. HTTP 2. HTTPS without client authentication 3. HTTPS with client authentication.
       None of the options have any effect on testing, Each time, only HTTPS request works and HTTP doesn't.
    Can anyone please provide some hints for troubleshooting ?
    Thanks..
    regards,
    Rajagopal.

    The error "HTTPS scheme is required" is normally returned when the HTTP Security Level on the SOAP adapter is not set to "HTTP". I can see you have mentioned you have tried all these, maybe a cache refresh has gone wrong? Could try recreating the channel with just HTTP specified as security level and this should allow HTTP or HTTPS
    I assume you are using a different port number for  your HTTP and HTTPS requests from SOAP UI. Normally the HTTPS port is the same as the HTTP port number but the final zero changed to a 1 i.e. https://<host>:50001 instead of http://<host>:50000.
    You should be able to confirm both HTTP and HTTPS work OK by loading some of the system webpages in a browser over HTTP and over HTTPS i.e. http://<host>:<port>/nwa and https://<host>:<port>/nwa

  • Apex_web_service.make_request throws ORA-29273: HTTP request failed. How to get the soap fault XML?

    I am trying to call a web service using apex_web_service.make_request function.
    It works fine when all the parameters are correct. However, when something is wrong in the request XML, it throws an exception instead of returning the soap:fault message:
    ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1369
    ORA-29269: HTTP server error 500 - Internal Server Error
    ORA-06512: at "APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_WEBSERVICES_API", line 130
    ORA-06512: at line 37
    I need to get back the soap:fault and parse it to display a proper error message to the users (e.g. what was wrong with the input), yet the call throws an exception instead of returning it.
    I am trying the exact same request from soapUI and it returns me the soap:fault below:
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">
       <soap:Body>
          <soap:Fault>
             <soap:Code>

             <soap:Reason>

             </soap:Reason>
             <soap:Detail>
                <ns1:RegisterFault xmlns:ns1="http://www.exchangenetwork.net/wsdl/register/1">
                   <description xmlns:ns2="http://www.exchangenetwork.net/wsdl/register/1">The security token has expired.</description>

                </ns1:RegisterFault>
             </soap:Detail>
          </soap:Fault>
       </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    How do I get this back from APEX?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
       I've just run into this.
       If the webservice returns a fault, such as:
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Server</faultcode><faultstring>INVALID_REQUESTER_INFO</faultstring></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
       then the user gets presented with an unfriendly error message and there's no chance to output a more friendly one.
       The response above is seen when testing the webservice, when run from the Form/Report page, we get something like:
    soap:ServerINVALID_REQUESTER_INFO
    Contact your application administrator.
    OK
       When OK button is clicked everything is rolled back and we don't even get the fault XML.
       It would be good if Apex could be optionally set to not give the unfriendly messages, so that we could code such a message ourselves.
       Unless anybody has a workaround for this, I guess that I'll have to see if I can code this in PLSQL.

    I want to add the headers not through coding. I want to add it manually.
    I can able to add the HTTP headers through SOAPUI. But i need to add the same inside the request.
    Could someone please help me?

  • Soap UI HTTP Request Parameter

    Hi,
    I am working on HTTP two way port in BizTalk.
    My input schema is as below.
    <ns0:Order xmlns:ns0="http://BizTalk.HTTPAdapterDemoApp.Message_XML">
      <ItemNumber>01</ItemNumber>

    I am sending this input message to BizTalk from console application and I am able to receive the response from BizTalk.
    Now I want to send this message to BizTalk from Soap UI.
    Can any one help me, How many parameter do I need to create in Soap UI to work it properly?
    Thanks UK

    Here it goes.
    I can able to send the HTTP request of input schema and getting the response by using console application.
    While using Soap UI, I am getting below errors.
    In Biztalk console, I am getting below error,
    The BizTalk HTTP receive adapter failed to initialize itself. Possible reasons:
     1) Receive location URL is not created/configured correctly.
     2) Receive location is not enabled.
     3) HTTP receive adapter is not running under a user that has access to management and message databases.
     4) Isolated host instance is not created for HTTP Receive adapter.
    In Soap UI, I am getting the below error.

    in java default trace I see no error.
    What could be the Problem? What must we configure for https communication via SOAP Adapter?
    Which Log get me some information?

    Hi,
    The examples are calling a browser but that is not what we are looking for. What we are looking for is (via ABAP) to send our http request and receive back the anwser. They (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/) provide the SOAP message (WSDL : (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/api/checkVatPort?wsdl). My question is if it is possible witout using XI and yes how? If I understand it correctly is should be possible via ABAP (example program RSWF_TEST_HTTP), but if I create my own program I get the message HTTP-Receive: RC=400  ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED. Maybe the ABAP code is correct, but maybe I should change some settings or configure something else.

    I'm using the following code to set the header from PL/SQL.
    l_http_req := UTL_HTTP.begin_request ('http://deab/DexNETWebServices_4_0_0_4/LoginService.svc', 'POST', 'HTTP/1.1');
    UTL_HTTP.set_header (

    UTL_HTTP.set_header (l_http_req, 'Content-Length', LENGTH (l_request));
    But UTL_HTTP.get_response returns the error 400 Bad Request. How do I set MIME-Version and VsDebuggerCausalityData from the header?
    Thank you for your help on this.

  • Add cookie to HTTP request header when calling web service

    I'm trying to call web service using JDeveloper 11g. I successfully generated web service proxy from WSDL document. I can successfully call this particular web service's method "login" which returns "session_id", which then needs to be inserted as a cookie in the HTTP request header in later calls to other methods. This is how the HTTP request header should look like:
    POST /webservice HTTP/1.1
    Host: registrar.carnet.hr
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    User-Agent: .hr domene
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
    SOAPAction: "https://registrar.carnet.hr/webservice#get_domain_name"
    Content-Length: 532
    Cookie: session_id=f3po0ba01a47gd64792151ee43a25765;
    How can this be accomplished? There is not much code that I wrote, everything is generated by JDeveloper's wizard...
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    RegistrarServicePortPortClient client =
    new RegistrarServicePortPortClient();
    client.setPortCredentialProviderList();
    // add your code here
    String login;
    login = client.login("username", "password");
    System.out.println(login);
    String myCookie = "session_id="+login;
    System.out.println(myCookie);
    *// what can be done to add myCookie to the HTTP request header?*
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    Thanks in advance,
    Bruno

  • SOAP RECEIVER: Possible to change the soap header request

    Hi
    Is it possible to change what is included in the soap header like namespaces (.. xmlns:ns="http://what.com"
    Specifically I need to have the "http://Strange.org/thisis.xsd" (see below) included in the header and the <ns:pi-create> included in SOAP-ENV

    Hope somebody can help
    Cheers

    Hi Bowie,
    1.You can change the Namespace. condition is no obj's under the namesapce then only it's possible otherwise u can't.
    2.create a new namesapce what ever u want and copy all the obj's under that namesapce.finally delete the previous one.
    XMLAnonymizerBean
    Use
    You use this module to anonymize XML elements and attributes by removing namespaces or namespace prefixes from the XML document of the main payload.
    You can define a particular namespace prefix for each namespace. You can also change the encoding attribute of the XML declaration.
    Integration
    You can use the module in adapters that can be extended in the module processor.
    Activities
    Entries in the Processing Sequence
    ●      Insert the module before the adapter module.
    If the adapter comprises multiple modules, for information about the position of the module, see: Extending the Module Chain in the Module Processor
    ●      Enter the module name AF_Modules/XMLAnonymizerBean.
    ●      Select the Module Type Local Enterprise Bean.
    ●      The system proposes a module key.
    Entries in the Module Configuration
    ●      anonymizer.acceptNamespaces
    Enter a list of namespaces and their prefixes that are to be kept in the XML document as follows: namespace1 n1 namespace2 n2 u2026
    To enter a namespace without a prefix, enter '' (two single quotation marks).
    Any namespaces you do not specify are removed from the XML document.
    ●      anonymizer.quote
    Specify the character to be used to enclose the attribute values.
    The default value is '. The parameter is optional.
    ●      anonymizer.encoding
    To use a code page other than UTF-8, enter it.  The parameter is optional.
    For example, enter ISO-8859-1.
    Example
    The anonymizer.acceptNamespaces parameter has the following value:
    urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions rfc urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style rfc
