Soap lookup error

Hi,
I am trying to use the SOAP lookup within an UDF. The example in Bhavesh blog worked great and when I plug in my web service lookup I have run into all sorts of issues.
My response message from the webservice looks like this:
<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
   <env:Header/>
   <env:Body>
      <GetMappedToValueByIDOutput xmlns:ns1="http://www.abc.com/mappedvalue/output" xmlns=" http://www.abc.com/mappedvalue/output ">
         <ns1:OutputData>
            <ns1:MapValue>This is the mapping lookup result </ns1:MapValue>
            <ns1:MapID/>
         </ns1:OutputData>
      </GetMappedToValueByIDOutput>
   </env:Body>
</env:Envelope>
But I am getting the following error after I plug in the UDF into the message mapping and testing with the integration mapping.
Parsing Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed.'. Cause Exception: 'java.io.IOException: Parsing Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed.'.
Anything that I am missing here?
Teresa

  • Error During SOAP Lookup

    Hi,
    I'm perforing a SOAP Lookup as explained in the Blog: Webservice Calls From a User Defined Function.
    However when i am testing it in Test Tab in message mapping it is showing an error "com.sap.aii.mapping.lookup.LookupException: Exception during processing the payload.Problem when calling an adapter by using communication channel SOAP_RECV (Party: , Service: AA_BS_RECV, Object ID: 4fb8e1fbeb0e3213a3381de6f63d9542) XI AF API call failed. Cause Exception: 'Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address'."
    When i test it end to end teh Look up is not returning any Value
    Can you please let me know what could be the Error.
    Thanks,
    Bhargav

    Hi Chirag,
    I have checked the Target URL and it is correct.
    There are no proxy settings so i have not given any authentication details

  • Soap lookup in PI7.31 message mapping

    Hi All,
    I have a soap lookup created in UDF in PI message mapping
    I am taking material id from the source structure and use it as input parameter for the lookup webservice
    Here is the UDF code which takes material number and returns the internal id
    AbstractTrace trace = container.getTrace();
    String matintid = "";
    try {
    //instance the channel to invoke the service.
    Channel channel = LookupService.getChannel("BS_Bus","CC_SearchLookup");
    SystemAccessor accessor = LookupService.getSystemAccessor(channel);
    // The Request message in XML. THIS IS THE LOOKUP SERVICE
      String SOAPxml = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?><searchTM_MATERIAL>xmlns:ns0=\"MDM_MAT_Search_MDM"><query><criteria><fTX_MATERIAL><constraint><value>"
    +a
    + "</value><expressionOperator>equals</expressionOperator></constraint></fTX_MATERIAL></criteria></query><reposInfo><repositoryName>REP_MATERIALS</repositoryName><serverName>mdm6765</serverName></reposInfo></searchTM_MATERIAL>";
    InputStream inputStream =new ByteArrayInputStream(SOAPxml.getBytes());
    XmlPayload payload = LookupService.getXmlPayload(inputStream);
    Payload SOAPOutPayload = null;
    //The response will be a Payload. Parse this to get the response field out.
    SOAPOutPayload = accessor.call(payload);
    /* Parse the SOAPPayload to get the SOAP Response back.  */
    InputStream inp = SOAPOutPayload.getContent();
    DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    /* Create DOM structure from input XML */
    DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
    Document document = builder.parse(inp);
    NodeList matlist = document.getElementsByTagName("tM_MATERIAL");
    Element material = (Element) matlist.item(0);
    NodeList recidlist = material.getElementsByTagName("recordIdentification");
    Element recidnode = (Element)recidlist.item(0);
    matintid = recidnode.getNodeValue();
    trace.addInfo("matnid is" + matintid);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    trace.addWarning("Error" + e);  }
    trace.addInfo("Service XXX success executed");
    return matintid;
    This is giving a java null point error
    Errorjava.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method org.w3c.dom.Element.getElementsByTagName(java.lang.String) of a null object loaded from a local variable at slot 16
    Any idea whats going on? I am able to get response for the webservice using SOAP UI

    Hi Mike,
    What I suspect is, you get a null pointer exception because the XML tag name which you are trying to retrieve, has a namespace. Could you please instead try to use:
    getElementsByTagNameNS(java.lang.String namespaceURI, java.lang.String localName)
              Returns a NodeList of all the Elements with a given local name and namespace URI in document order.
    Let us know if it works.

    Shweta

  • Soap lookup

    Dear experts,
                 The scenario is file to file with a soap lookup. certain records are inserted using lookup in mapping.
    The records which can not be inserted, along with the error code from the webservice response has to be sent to a database table.  Please suggest the options .
    Thanks ,
    Aju

    hi,
    generelly lookup is used to find the value which was not present in the sender structure ,and u need to find that, based on some  field value in  sender side from another system/server.
    in youe case make sych soap message interface.
    generate the soap request which used to  fatch the value from other system .
    if system not get any value for that it will return the error message.
    map the responce message with the requird target field value.
    please find the link for jdbc lookup

  • SOAP Lookup in PO 7.30 Single Stack.

    Hi,
    I am creating a scenario from HTTP to File . In between Message Mapping has SOAP Lookup .
    But While I executing the Sceanrio, I am facing some error .
    Now While reading lots of Blogs over Internet , Some of them pointed towards Creating a Dummy ICO (mandatory in  PI 7.30 ) for SOAP Lookup.
    So Now my Question  are :
    1. Why are we creating this Dummy ICO ?? what is the purpose ??
    2. How do we create it ?? - Need to know abt Sender Service Interface , Sender Communication channel , Receiver Service Interface ??? What would be these values while creating a Dummy ICO ???
    Regards
    PS

    Hi, the dummy ICO is actually not needed for the lookup, but may fix a bug as stated in your previous thread http://scn.sap.com/message/14054811#14054811 as well as it is meant to test and verify that your SOAP receiver actually works.
    Did you follow SAP Help Using the Lookup API in a Message Mapping, especially using a mapping parameter of type Adapter and using the parameter as demonstrated in Implementing Lookups Using SystemAccessor?
    I see in your previous thread Error while SOAP LookUp in PI 7.3 Single Stack. that you hardcoded the channel name and business component to retrieve the channel
    Channel channel = LookupService.getChannel("BC_Successfactors_Two_D","CC_SOAP_Receive_SessionCreate");
    Implement as recommended by SAP Help (above links) may be it solves your problem.

  • Viewing SOAP Lookup Payloads in PI 7.1

    Hi All,
    I'm performing a SOAP lookup in my message mapping using a UDF and the SystemAccessor api.
    However, in RWB I'm unable to view the payload under the SOAP channel.
    I get a 404 resource not found error when i click on the payload link.
    Here is what I've tried so far:
    1) Set Logging_Sync to 1 in SXMB_ADM for Runtime.
    2) Set messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody to false in NWA.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Harsh

    Hi Shabarish!
    How are things?
    Under conversions I see only JDBC and RFC Lookups!
    Am I missing something?

    after i execute:

    both xinit and startx work fine; i can use the keyboard and mouse
    so far i've tried reinstalling / updating with:
    pacman -S xorg
    pacman -S xorg-server
    pacman -S xorg-apps
    pacman -S xf86-video-ati
    the thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=126754 recommends removing the extra drivers (i have them all downloaded) by using this command:
    pacman -Rns $(pacman -Qqs xorg-drivers | grep -v xf86-input-evdev)
    the output that i get is:
    error: '1.5.0-2': target not found
    when i try to run fluxbox i get:
    Error: Couldn't connect to XServer
    the output i get from lspci | grep VGA is:
    02.00 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV730 PRO [Radeon HD 4650]
    a similar problem was reported at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=667877
    i really don't know what they are talking about with using 'nomodset' and i'm not even sure that it applies to my situation
    hope thats enough info to get started on solving this problem

    played around with the .xinitrc file for a while after i got home from work and was able to get fluxbox running.  i would say problem solved, but i guess there wasn't really  a problem after all, just lack of reading.
    don't know how i overlooked the wiki documentation on .xinitrc found at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xinitrc

  • No SOAP Envelope error in SOAP Receiver Adapter

    Hello Friends,
    Informaiton:-
    I have configured one Synchronous scenarion for SAP R/3 to PI 7.1 to Java based web applicaiton.
    On the Receiver/Outbound side, i have configured the SOAP Receiver Adapter with the Target URL and SOAP Action.
    Outbound and Inbound service interfaces have Request/Response and Fault messages.
    Issue:-
    While sending the Message, Below error is noticed in ABAP stack SXMB_MONI during the Call Adapter Stage and also in RWB (Channel Monitoring) .
    com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: No SOAP  Envelope but 1 {}RESPONSES; HTTP 200 OK
    I also found that Request message is not reaching to the Java Web server.
    I am taking the Same message Payload (found at Call Adapter Stage) and ussing it in XML Altova SPY Web client tool. There it is running scuccessfully and getting the Response message.
    please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards
    Jagesh

    Hi,
    Yesterday i consumed the same WSDL file in Altova XML SPY and there it is working, getting the Response.
    Now comparing the SOAP Request message reaching to the Third party Web server (which fall within the same Lane network)
    from SAP PI and Altova XML SPY tool. I used TCP Gateway for the below scenarios.
    (1)First i sent the SOAP message from PI and observed the RESPONSE message without the SOAP Envelope in TCP Gatway Trace and hence i am getting the No SOAP Envelope Error in PI.
    (2)I consumed the same WSDLfile in Altova XML SPY and sent the SOAP message, here i got the Proper SOAP Response message and hence success in this case. (Used the same Data Payload as used in point 1)
    (3)Now to identify the issue in the SOAP Request message being sent from PI, i used the same SOAP message sent in step 1 here, that means copy the entire SOAP ENvelope from the TCP gateway Trace and pasted it in Alota Spy and sent, there it is found running (got the response message from Third Party server).
    One difference i found in HTTP Protocol statements in SOAP Request message in Point no 1 and Point no 2 above.
    HTTP Protocols in Point 1 (Through PI).
    POST  HTTP/1.0
    Accept: /
    Host: 172.24.138.142:4544
    User-Agent: SAP-Messaging-com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi/1.0505
    CallingType: SA
    content-id: <soap-00306EEAC2051ED1839136CEE8564900 sap.com>
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
    Content-Length: 1195
    SOAPACTION: "Action1"
    HTTP Protocols in Point 2 (Through Altova).
    POST / HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: text/xml
    User-Agent: XML Spy
    SOAPAction: "Action1"
    Host: 172.24.138.142:4544
    Content-Length: 1195
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    Cache-Control: no-cache

  • SOAP Receiver error - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error

    Hi,
    We have a FILE to SOAP Asynchronous scenario to send data from our PI to customer PI.
    We are sending PGP encrypted file as the payload. So, foll settings have been maintained:
    Do not use SOAP envelope in Sender and Receiver SOAP
    nosoap=true in the URL.
    Message transform bean in the SOAP channels.
    File is successfully sent and received through SOAP protocol.
    But, both the SOAP Receiver and Sender channels are in error:
    SOAP Receiver error:
    SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.
    As, this is a asynch scenario, we are not expecting the response.
    SOAP sender at customer PI is in error. Error text is not mentioned. It just displays: error occured.
    At both the ends, we do not have Repository objects as there is no mapping.
    Kindly help...
    Thanks,
    Pratibha.

    Hi All,
    For the same scenario, we need to Sign the data using the WebServices Security.
    (We are sending PGP encrypted data as SOAP payload using MTB, i have ticked "Do not use SOAP envelope")
    I have selected WebServicesSecurity as the security profile in the SOAP Receiver and selected "Sign" in the Receiver agreement, have provided our private cert.
    Tried sending a message. Communication channel audit Log shows the message:
    Success MP: Processing local module localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean
    Success SOAP: request message entering the adapter with user J2EE_GUEST
    Success SOAP: Web Services Security processing...
    Success SOAP: Web Services Security processing skiped. Empty body...
    Success SOAP: completed the processing
    Please suggest how I can apply the WSS..
    Thanks,
    Pratibha.

    Hi
    1. Check if your ADS is working. Use program FP_TEST_00 / FP_TEST_01 to test your ADS if it is working.
    2. Test using super user, it might caused by authorization too.
    Thanks, Xiang Li

    This is not the work of an ABAPer. Get in touch with the BASIS person

  • SOAP Lookup with username and password

    I am doing a lookup using a Java UDF from PI message mapping using a SOAP receiver channel by passing a username and password to get a value from a webservice. This is passed to a field in the target side. Everything works fine.
    But I want to avoid hardcoding the username and password sent in the XML for the lookup in the UDF. Anyone has any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    Hi Param,
    Are you passing the userid and password in url of SOAP Lookup?  You can try using value mapping to get the password for a given username..
    Else maintain it in SOAP channels and for each user id try selecting a different SOAP channel..  HEre also you can use value mapping for userid = soapchannel relationship.
    Regards
