  • Can Soap sender channel be directed to Soap reciever channel

    Hi
I have a three layer architecture on the target side. First layer is Web AS, Second layer is Web AS asd third is PI server.
Now i am recieving Soap messages from a source PI. Its a SSL communication. I have to terminate SSL on the first Web AS and pass on the same soap message to third layer that is PI server.
Do i  have to configure a Soap sender channel on Web AS to terminate SSL?
If i do configure Soap sender channel on Web AS , how do i send the same soap message to third layer that is PI server. I dont want to write the incoming file at any location and then pick it up and send it through SOAP reciever channel. Is there a way to direct the same SOAP message from SOAP sender channel to SOAP reciver channel.

    >>pass on the same soap message to third layer that is PI server.
If you simply want to pass on the same messages, why not use configure multiple receiver/interface for it.
    Thanx

  • SOAP reciever channel Query

    Hi All,
I have proxy>>BPM>>Reciever Web service scenario.
It is working fine in DEV and QA and now we are moving it to the PRD system. My concern is that do I need to check for any port opening or firewall policy to enble to receiver URL in PRD system?
I want to know if this activity is required from reciever SOAP channels.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
If the third party system is in a different zone than that of your source, then ports needed to be opened unidirectional way to that servers IP(Internet protocol) from your PI server.
Also you need to check the target URL in the PI server browser (Firefox etc) and if it is able to access the web-service, then the communication will be fine.

  • SOAP Receiver Channel 2 nodes inactive in Production system

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue with the SOAP receiver channels in production system. There are 4 nodes which can be seen in the communication channel monitoring and out of which 2 have the status as inactive and the short log says "inactive or never used".
But the same nodes are active on the sender SOAP channel and all other channels. We have also checked the Status of the SOAP service that is also set to active.
Now when the server (App server5 in our case) is switched off, which has the 2 active nodes, the messages are not processed since the nodes on the other server are inactive.
Request you to please help us out in finding out why the nodes are in inactive status only for SOAP receiver channels. Do we need to change any settings at the adapter engine level.
    Thank you.

There is an error in reporting the status of SOAP channels. This error has already been fixed by SAP and is available as a fix in higher releases (PI 7.10 and above, latest SPs) .
The status "inactive or never used" is shown in channel monitoring at the following two times:
    1. After creating a new SOAP channel (sender/receiver) till this channel processes any new message.
    2. After the PI system is restarted, all the SOAP channels show this status, though they are ready to handle any incoming/outgoing messages. The channels continue to display this status till they process any new message.
In both these situations, the SOAP Channel can handle/process messages successfully. So, kindly ignore this channel status ("inactive or never used") reporting error in channel monitoring. This will not at all hamper the normal functioning of the SOAP channels.
    Hope this answers your query.

  • Sender SOAP adapter in inactive status

    Hi guys,
I have a problem with my sender SOAP adapter.
In Int Directory, the channel is ACTIVE but in RWB, CC monitoring (soap adapter), this status is INACTIVE OR UNINITIALIZED.
I have changed this value and activated the change lists, and refreshed CPACache as well with no success.
Could you please help me on this?
    Thanks in advance

  • Processing Multiple files in the reciever channel

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where PI is supposed to pick a zip file containing different files, Post which PI should unzip the files and send it to receiving system.
We have used payload zip bean to unzip the files in the sender channel and it was successful. The problem here is the receiver channel.
Receiver channel is not able to process all the files. The file name and extension is causing the problem as we have different file names and extensions.
I tried using the Payload zip bean in the reciever channel too but again the file name and extension were the issue. Attached the screenshot of the message processed in the communication channel which clearly shows the kind of files we are expecting. we are using PI 7.4 single stack.
Batch script is something we are not really looking at... Can you please provide some solution?

unable to attach the screenshot sorry

  • Issue in Dynamic configuration in SOAP receiver channel

    Hi All,
My scenario is file to SOAP. At receiver side I want to generate URL dynamically.
To proceed step by step, I started with passing a constant URL to Dynamic configuration UDF.
    mapping:
    Dynamic conf. UDF
    Channel Configuration:
From testing, I found that channel always takes the url given in Target URL field and dynamic URL in TserverLocation is been ignored by the channel.
That is dynamic configuration is not working completely.
I went through a lot of blogs and also tried a lot of trial and error methods, but none helped. Every thing I configured looks perfect for me, but still not working. I don't understand where I went wrong. Please help me.

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing similar issue,
    URL --> UDF --> @dynamicvariable
I have created a variable underparent node eg: DESADV-->dynamicvariable
passed complete URL to UDF, below is the UDF
& configured SOAP Receiver Channel as well. This is IDOC to IDOC scenario, using IDOC_AAE on sender side and SOAP on receiver in single stack.
    --> Checked ASMA
--> Checked Variable Transport Binding and given "TServerLocation" without quotes in XHeaderName1
    --> Target URL: http://
But when I am running this interface, nothing is coming in Dynamic configuration.
    Ref: Message Log:
MM and OM is also perfect in ESR.
    Any suggestions? Please advice.

    Hi all,
I am trying to send data from Http client to Webservice. In moni i got a message processed successfully means getting black flag. But i got an error in SOAP Communication channel as "error in response".
I got this message from that error
<b>"SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied.  )"</b>
Source side i dont configure Http adapter.Target side i configured SOAP adapter. In that SOAP adapter i configured these fields.1)Target URL 2)Configure Proxy 3)Configure proxy user authentication.
I want get response from webservice. Please help me.
    Thanks,
    Gopi.

    Hi,
Make sure that you have specified the proper host and port values, in the text box that appears when you check the configure proxy check box(in receiver soap adapter).
Looks like the webservice requires a proxy authentication.
Select the check box "configure proxy user authentication"(in receiver soap adapter) and provide the correct username and password.

  • Error in Soap Communication Channel

    Hi All,
I am using Soap as sender from UPXI and again Soap as receiver in EUPI but while doing end to end test SOAP sender channel was failing.
Below was the error which I cam seeing the channel mointoring.
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Can you please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Mahi.

    Hi Mahi,
I understand from above post that you are using SOAP to SOAP interface, however can you also elaborate on following:
    1) How are you testing the interface?
    2) Where do you see this error?
    3) Are you using ICo or classical configuration scenario?
HTTP 500 is a generic error and could have been caused because of any reason. If you are using a tool like SOAPUI etc, you can try looking into the text of error to see what error reason is displayed. Also worthwhile looking in to the runtime workbench or sxmb_moni (if dual stack processing) to see what is the status of message processing.

  • Specifying queue name in SOAP sender channel

    Hi
We are on XI 3.0 SP18 - I have a requirement in which a soap webservice exposed out of the XI box - is to be called in an asynchronous mode - the webservice posts - document onto R/3 using an ABAP server proxy.
Now, there is also a need to post documents onto R3 - by serializing through an object key - material number ( say updates to a material ). I saw that there is a queue name in the soap sender channel setting when I choose eoio - qos . Is this queue name static ?
Also, any suggestions on how I can serialize the calls to the webservice based on an object key ( material number is supplied by the soap client ) all the way to R3 ( I am using a ABAP server proxy on the R3 side )

    Ravi
I am looking for way to specify a non-static queue name here - so that I could establish a queue based on an object key from the source - web service client all the way to R3 - I wanted to know the options available on specifying the queue name in the communication channel -
    Thanks...

  • Webservice secuirty in SOAP receiver channel in PI 7.1

One of my vendor published a web service which I imported in PI , but he expcets PI to send webservice secuirty with usertoken, so that they can authenticate & authorize.
How can we implement webservice secuirty with usertoken & password in PI 7.1 on SOAP receiver channel.
Please let me know your thoughts.

I mean while message is going out from XI it should pass username & password as a part of SOAP Header. like below
which I beleive we can call it is as web service security with usertoken
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" >
    <SOAP-ENV:Header xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" >
    <wsse:Security soapenv:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd" >
    <wsse:UsernameToken>
    <wsse:Username>abcd1234</wsse:Username>
    <wsse:Password type="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#PasswordText" >abcd2009</wsse:Password>

  • HTTP Error 501 with SOAP Sender channel

    Hello,
    i've am simple Question:
I want to call the following SAP XI SOAP Sender channel "MySoapSenderChannel":
    XI-Parameters:
    namespace: <myInterfaceNamespace>
    Interface:   <myAsynchInterface>
    QoS: Exactly Once in Order
    Queue: MY_QUEUE
We do not care about the Response - so the processing is asynchron.
Thus my interface mapping maps to asynch interfaces. The desitnation
is an ABAP Proxy. The configuration has been done and tested.
    Here my question:
according the documentation, the URL has the following syntax:
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=party:service:channel.
    In our case:
    http://<myHost>:8002/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:MyService:MySoapSenderChannel.
But when i generate a WSDL for the interface out of the Configuration, the address is:
    <soap:address location="http://<myHost>:8002/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&amp;version=3.0&amp;Sender.Service=MyService&amp;Interface=...
    and so forth.
But was is the difference between these 2 possibilities?
Why do i get HTTP Error 501 when i use the URL from the documentation (the first one)?
    Thanx in advance
    Gunnar

    Gunnar,
I will suggest you to go through it once to check all your connection.

  • Defalt VI Parameters in SOAP Sender Channel Config

    Hi all,
I have configured soap sender channel with Default XI Parameters as * for both Interface name space and Interface name.
SOAP adapter sends the message with * as the interface namespace and interface and fails with the error "No receiver could be determined".
Why is SOAP adapter is using the default XI parameters from the channel instead of the parameters passed with the SOAP message.
I could make this work specifying the Default XI parameters with correct name space and interface, but my problem is I have 2 different interfaces from the same service and cannel, I don't want to create a separate channel for each of the interfaces.
    Please help.

    Hi Pratat,
    you have to set the
Use Query String to true and the adapter will take the service/interface data from the query string instead of the Default XI Parameters
