SOAP Response Version Mismatch error with SAP web service

My company just recently upgraded to SAP CRM 7.
The old way of creating web services in SAP worked fine, but now, there is something a bit off with SAP.  When I call the web service the send returns a Fault Event with the error : SOAP Response Version Mismatch
I had a simple web service created with only 1 text input and 1 text output to make sure that it wasn't the parameters or return type.  I got the same error.
Searching on the forum or the web hasn't provided with any good answer to the issue.
Any thoughts on this?

  • Serialization error in SAP Web Service.

    Hi all,
    I have exposed a custom RFC as a Web Service. This is a simple web service that returns Customer Data (from kna1) based on the Customer ID which we provide as input.
    In the RFC, I have declared an internal table (G_RET) in the tables section of the RFC.
    Now, while testing the web service, I can see a check box with NULL option beside the G_RET. If i check the NULL option for G_RET, I get an error.
    XML Serialization Error. Array Property [Item] in class [none] must not have NULL elements. This is restricted by schema description.
    This is a high priority task. Please reply to me with any solution that you may have.
    Regards,
    Preksha.

    Your problem has nothing to do with SAP web service. When you expose a RFC function as a web service, you are defining a service contract using WSDL technologies and XML message format enforced by the schema definition associated with the data source.
    When a system consume a web service it is upto that system to provide a client framework so that it can provide an implementation enforces by the WSDL contract. Contract terms in WSDL is only applicable to data types, message types, access style and ecoding.
    It is upto the client framework to provide a mechanism to send and receive the data as per the contract.
    In your case, you are using a Microsoft client, so MS implementation of web service technology play a big role here.
    C# XML serialization class from the MS client program you are using to call the program, read the WSDL contract and try to understand the definition and terms and conditions of the messages, types, binding.
    In your WSDL you may have constraints applied at each field level of the schemas associated with the input and output messages of the web service methods.
    Unfortunatly the way C# XML serialization class understand the terms and condition is confusing and it create a rum time error.
    Having said this all stories now let us get into practical way.
    1. Test ur web service using a non MS client
    2. Make sure it is working, this isolate your issues to the way client understanding the WSDL contracts.
    3. Then work with some MS guys in your shop to address this issue.
    From your post I hope you are a candidate having experience in working with SAP customization project. However when ever you deal with open technologies such as JAVA, Web Services, it is highly recomended to think outside the BUNN.
    AS SAP move towards more open technologies such as JAVA, WSDL, SOAP, WS, XML, XSD it is very important to elaborate your knowledge beyond the scope of a customization project.
    Thanks

  • "no serializer is registered..." error with a web service not working

    I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3

    I'm having issues with the web service not working after I create a client for it. The web service works fine up until I generate the proxy on the other side.
    ERROR An error occurred for port: {http://buslogic/}MyWebService1SoapHttpPort: no serializer is registered for (class buslogic.runtime.....
    I saved the file before I added the proxy and the wsdl looks the same between the working one and the non working one. I can not pin point the when the change to the web service is occuring. It seemed to work once all the way up until I had a ADF page trying to retrieve data, another time it failed when the proxy was created.
    I can get the version that I saved to work immediately after the version that does not fails.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

  • How to use SAP Router String with SAP Web Services

    Hi All,
    I have developed an SAP Web Service and I'm using it from a vb.net dll by using web reference.
    I want to use an SAP Router string when I try to call web service but I don't how to do it.Should the url of my proxy contain this router string in itself or is there any other attribute that I should configure for this purpose?
    Please help!!!
    MERAL
    My code is as in the followings .
    (And my SAP router string is like /H/111.11.111.11/H/)
    Dim srvProxy As New PSUDamacanaProxy4.Z_SDB_RFC_GetList
                srvProxy.Url = s"http://21.11.1.43:8000/sap/bc/soap/rfc"
                srvProxy.Timeout = 10000
                srvProxy.Credentials = New System.Net.NetworkCredential(strUserName, strPassword)
                srvProxy.Z_SDB_RFC_GetList(p_bayi, durum, True, miktar, telefon, expMusteri, expReturnValue, expSiparis, expTeslimat, expAdSoyad)
                musteriAdSoyad = expAdSoyad
                ReturnValue = expReturnValue
                srvProxy.Dispose()
                srvProxy = Nothing

    Since I posted this question, I have abandoned the notion of
    auto-generated web services and embraced the good old FDS concept
    where the RemoteObject meta-tag does all the conversion work for
    me. We are now using the Granite DS package and it is working well
    for us. I would love to consume web services, but it just isn't
    worth the hassle when all you have to do with Granite (and FDS) is
    cast your return objects to the proper object type.
    BTW, since this posting, I have investigated competing Flex
    app frameworks. After my research, I checked out the PureMVC
    framework. Wow!! Cairngorm always left me with an uneasy feeling
    and I guess I am not alone. Apparently, Cliff Hall felt the same
    way. That is why he started the project. I like his approach alot
    more than Cairngorm especially since it includes notifications
    which allow me to broadcast my own app level events independent
    from the AS Event framework. Check out PureMVC. For what it is
    worth, it has my humble endorsement. Cliff was even gracious enough
    to acknowledge the other Adobe Consulting guys for their work. Good
    for you Cliff, I respect that. Check out a better way at

  • [JSR-172 Web Services] Error with some web services

    hello
    I m trying to use jsr172 with multiple services find at Xmethods.com
    - I choice only doc/litteral wsdl types ----> OK
    - use of the J2ME Wireless Toolkit Stubs Generator ---> OK
    - use the service stub generated to invoke the service -------> NOT OK
    Some services runs correctly, but lots of service methods throw a java.rmi.MarshalException: Missing SOAP Body or Envelope
    i.e: http://www.closerfar.com/dic2.asmx?WSDL
    --> this has a method which return a definition of a word by a complex type
    When I use the TryIt function in Xmethods.com, it's run!...
    .... but not in my midlet
    Can you help me
    thanks
    ludo

    I have written a dot net/ c# Web Services doesn't fully work with J2ME client - it too throws the same exception, with the exception text being "Missing SOAP Body or Envelope"
    a) c# web service works with c# WIndows Client (local & remote web service)
    b) c# web service works with J2ME client - when the Web Service is local
    c) c# web service FAILS with J2ME client - when the Web Service is remote
    error/exception:
    "Missing SOAP Body or Envelope" -- This occurs at the point of invoking the remote Web Service
    Speculation:
    a) dot net Web Services are "different" from Java Web services - yet it works fine in local mode
    b) error is a misnomer & there is some other problem, perhaps fixable thru Web.config changes remotely??
    - changed Web.Config authentication (from Windows to none), but this made no difference
    - changed back to default web service namespace of tempuri.org, but this made no difference

    Can anybody give me a clue as to what I've missed? I was under the impression that Java Studio Creator had everything it needed to be able to successfully test these web services. What it looks like to me, is that the actual web service package is not deployed to the development environment. I have no idea where I would find those, if they were not pre-packaged with the software. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brett

    Are you to see the WSDL using the URL on a browser?
    Check for proxy settings configured in the IDE.

    Thanks........

    Answered on my own:
    Just have to use
    x_result = http_client->response->get_data( ).
    instead of
    x_result = http_client->response->to_xstring( ).
    Just don't knwo why the filesize is wrong also - but I can work with this image!

  • There is an error with your web service settings that cannot be repaired automatically. Please Contact Product Support

    I get the above error message (in the title of this post) when I try to setup my remote website.  When I try to access the remote website, I receive the error message below.
    Please let me know what I need to do to correct the error.  Thanks!
    When accessing my remote website on Windows Server 2012 Essentials, I receive the following error message:
    Server Error in '/' Application.
    Could not load file or assembly 'Wssg.Web.Internal, Version=6.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
    Exception Details: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Wssg.Web.Internal, Version=6.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
    Source Error:
    The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:
    1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:
      <%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>
    or:
    2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:
    <configuration>
       <system.web>
           <compilation debug="true"/>
       </system.web>
    </configuration>
    Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.
    Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

  • How to publish a SAP Web Service in SAP XI/PI 7.0

    Hi,
    First I've to say that I'n new in this deals with SAP Web Services and SAP XI/PI.
    I've created a Web Service with TX SE80 using a standard BAPI.
    I've created the Client Proxy with TX SE80.
    I've created a Logical Port wiht TX LPCONFIG.
    I've tried this is SOAMANAGER but I have this error...
    "SRT Framework exception: Uninstantiated object "subject sidl service" in method IF_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL~CREATE_CLNT_CFG_FROM_WSDL_D of class CL_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL"
    I would like to publish this service in my SAP XI/PI 7.0
    How can I solve the error in SOAMANAGER?
    How can I publish de SAP WS that I've created in SAP XI/PI?
    Thanks a lot.
    Waiting for your news.
    Fernando.

    Hi Dimitri,
    I had the same problem:
    "SRT Framework exception: Uninstantiated object "subject sidl service" in method IF_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL~CREATE_CLNT_CFG_FROM_WSDL_D of class CL_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL"
    And by following Nags hints I got solution:
    1, On the system where is your service provider, run transaction SICF
    2, Execute this transaction
    3, Go to node: default_host/sap/bc/srt/wsil
    4, Right click on "wsil" -> choose "Test service" - web browser should open with XML definition of service
    5, Find your service provider. In my case it looks like this:
    <service>
    <name>ZTEST_WS</name>
    u2212
    <wsdlNamespace>
    urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style/service
    </wsdlNamespace>
    <wsdlName>service</wsdlName>
    u2212
    <wsdl>
    http://xxx.yyy.com:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/srvc_DF838C999AA282F18829001CC4D74176/wsdl11/service/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800
    </wsdl>
    </service>
    5, Look for WSDL link -> in my case:
    http://xxx.yyy.com:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/srvc_DF838C999AA282F18829001CC4D74176/wsdl11/service/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800
    I dont know why, but this link is different like WSDL link in service definition which I can see in SE80:
    http://xxx.yyy.com:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_ZTEST_WS/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800
    6, Use this link (from "wsil") instead of link from SE80 in SOAMANAGER to create logical port
    7, Yours logicall port should be created without errors.
    My question - have anybody idea, why this links are different and why only that second one works?
    Peter

    Are the generated proxies for the web service client erronous, and thus a problem with Axis WSDL2Java tooling exists?
    Or is there a mismatch between WSDL and SOAP response concerning encoding style or namespaces, or other...
    Thanks for some hints!

    I should have included a possible work-around: modify
    the WSDL to match with the wire format if you don't
    have access to the remote service.

    thanks for your suggestion. Since I have no access to the remote service I have modified the WSDL file, as you suggested.
    But now I am encountering another error when invoking the operation:

    ...I noticed that the generated SOAP request now has also changed. The getAllClassificationSystems element is now wrapped with an additional getAllClassificationSystems element. So the web service endpoint is not able to understand the message.

  • SAP Web Service error text : The database returned a value containing an error , type  CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB

    Hello Guru's,
    we are creating sales order in SAP from a quote created in .NET,  through Web Service created in SAP, and consumed in .NET.
    When ever a order is created in SAP for a given quote, SAP returns the sales order number to .NET.
    Orders are getting created as expected, but once in a while we are getting the following error from webservice :
    Web service processing error; more details in the web service error log on provider side (UTC timestamp 20140609173429; Transaction ID 4DFCEFE33301F1EBB5CE00155D0B4530)
    But the problem is order is getting created in SAP for the perticular quote for which we are getting the above error and this order number is not getting returned to .NET.
    Upon analysis in TCODE  SRT_UTIL for the above transaction ID, has the following details , which are hardly help full to resolve the error.
    ----TYPE                                  CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    ----ERROR_TEXT                   The database returned a value containing an error
    ----CX_SY_NO_HANDLER
    -----CLASSNAME                     CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    This Exception raised by Web Service application
    Could you please help in resolving this issue or alteast provide an approach for the same.
    Thank you,
    Suresh.

    Thank you Bhaskar,
    How can we clarify whether the error is from SAP or Web part.
    I have checked ST22, but there is not entry for the perticular  exception transaction ID
    My exception time stamp is

    if I am correct, X-CalculatedBETarget supposed to be DEVNAABCD01B.devna.mydomain.com but it connected to different domain devapwxyz01a.devap.mydomain.com.  Do you guys have any idea on this?  (I verified
    the same using fiddler, it is failing right at autodiscover.svc call.)
    I wrote a powershell script to connect autodiscover service in sharepoint server & this web service call able connect right server X-CalculatedBETarget. It gave the expected response.
    I am not sure why SharePoint webservice call (X-CalculatedBETarget) is going to different server?
    let me know if you guys have any ideas.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the Response Raj.
    I already followed the same instructions in the Links.
    When SharePoint Autodisover.svc webservice send a request to Exchange server & Exchange server redirecting that request to different server, this is the problem i am facing right now.

  • Consuming SAP web services with tables

    I'm doing kind of feasibility study on consuming SAP web
    services from CF.
    So far so good, but I'm stuck dealing with tables
    (import/export parameters in SAP world).
    I know how to receive a table object from SAP functions:
    * With Apache Axis v1.2: pass an empty CF structure as a
    parameter
    * With Apache Axis v1.4: pass an empty CF array as a
    parameter
    Then the parameter is filled with data (replaced with Java
    object) and we can just parse the object accordingly.
    My question here is whether or not we can pass a *table with
    actual records*.
    For example, I want to pass a table with multiple records to
    update DB records under SAP.
    I tried passing (1) CF array of structure and (2) Java
    ArrayList with no chance.
    The web service call itself completes without errors (no
    method signature error), but the SAP function seems to see the
    parameter as an empty table.
    Anyone has been successful with this case?
    Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Dan,
    Unfortunately CF query object didn't work either.
    Now I'm looking at the code generated by Flex Builder to see
    how the classes are like ;-)
    It's just an ArrayCollection of simple value objects
    (representing a row).
    So CF array of structure or Java ArrayList looks a reasonable
    approach though they don't at all.
