SOAP - XI- PROXY synchronous scenario
Hi Experts,
I have a
SOAP -
XI -
PROXY Synchronous Scenario
I have done the following things ESR and ID
ESR:
1. Created DT and respective MT for Request and Response.
2. Created Service Interfaces with Synchronous mode with respective MT's.
3. Created Two separate MM with respective Request and Response MT's.
4. Created Operation Mapping and call both Request and Response Mappings in it.
Integration Directory (ID):
1. Configured considering Sender SOAP and Receiver ECC Services.
2. Configured CC with required parameters in Sender SOAP CC and Receiver XI CC.
3. Generate wsdl from Sender agreement and save it as a local file.
I am getting error in receiver agreement. Do I need to specify any Module parameters in Module TAB for Sender CC or Receiver CC to synchronous scenario.
Please hep me out.
Thanks
Hi Ram,
I am getting error in receiver agreement. Do I need to specify any Module parameters in Module TAB for Sender CC or Receiver CC to synchronous scenario.
It looks like you did not create a receiver agreement, or if you did, it did not match the interface that is given or configured in Interface Determination. Can you recheck your configuration?

SOAP to Proxy synchronous scenario
Hi,
Hope you are all doing well.
I have a SOAP to Proxy synchronous scenario. As part of this scenario, the data structure of the response sent by SAP is different from the response sent back to the SOAP requester. Hence I have used request message mapping between the SOAP request sent by requester and the one passed on to SAP and response message mapping between the response sent by SAP and the one passed on to the requester. Both the message mappings are incorporated in a single Interface mapping.
The problem is that the interface is behaving like a asynchronous one, i.e., request is passing over to SAP but though the proxy is giving a response back, the same is not coming over to XI.
It would be really helpful if you can let me know what might have gone wrong.
regards
DebansuHi,
you should have that:
1. Two Message Mapping:
1.1. a Message Mapping for request (called MM_request) , from MT_SOAP_request to MT_Proxy_request.
1.2. a Message Mapping for response (called MM_response) , from MT_Proxy_response to MT_SOAP_response.
2. One Operation Mapping (in PI 7.1) or Interface Mapping (in PI 7.0) from SI_SOAP to SI_ Proxy with:
2.1 in the tab "request", so from MT_SOAP_request to MT_Proxy_request , give your Message Mapping "MM_request".
2.2 in tab "response" , so from MT_Proxy_response to MT_SOAP_response, give your Message Mapping "MM_response".
3. In you Directory, you define a flow like that:
from SI_SOAP to SI_ Proxy by using your Operation Mapping.
If I missed nothing, that's all.
MT = Message Type
MM = Message Mapping
SI =Service Interface in PI 7.1 or Message Interface in PI 7.0.
regards.

File to Proxy synchronous scenario
Experts,
I am working on a File to proxy synchronous scenario.
I am doing the content conversion at the sendre side by using java program as input structure is very complex so have to go fr java code. Its a txt file at sender side.
Once I read the file in XI, am doing a graphical mapping ( just one to one mapping) then using the server proxy , a service entry is getting created then response am sending to the receiver.
My question is , can I use graphical mapping as I am using a java class for content conversion? both in one scenario is possible?
I have developed a java code for content conversion and it is working fine. How to use this .jar file in XI?
Can Any one help me wz thsi one?
Thanks in Advance
VirendraMy question is , can I use graphical mapping as I am using a java class for content conversion?
You can use as long as the structure generatde by the JAVA program is same as the source-message structure of the message mapping.
I have developed a java code for content conversion and it is working fine. How to use this .jar file in XI?
In my opinion this should be the adapter module....as the conversion needs to be done in the channel and inclucing it as a mapping wont help.

Soap to proxy : sync scenario
Hi
Have a new PI 7.1 system , wanted to do a soap to proxy sync scenario
Do i need to create business system for proxies or if I just create 2 business services: one for sender and other for reciever ,it would suffice?
Is there any advantage / dsiadvantage if I use Business service instead of Business systems?
In SLD if I just create a product /swcv : it should be good if I want to use Business service mechanism instead of Business syste, ? or is creating Technical system and Business system mandatory even if I have to configure scnearios using Business service
ThnxBusiness Systems require technical systems/software components and products, from an organisational perspective in PI it might be a good idea to define these things for an external entity (Business System). As far as Im aware business Services do not have that same requirment.
I tend to limit business service usage to one off or simple interaction B2B, as soon as you have more than one adapter interacting with the same external entity a business system with all of "their" adapters will help keep things clear to other people configuring integration scenario's. Whilst smart naming standard will get you around this most of the time, it makes more sense to put them together under the one system.
Hope this helps. -

SAP PI 7.4 SOAP - ABAP Proxy Synchronous Webservice
Hi Everyone,
I am developing the following scenario:
3rd party makes a SOAP call to SAP (via PI) to determine whether a vendor exists or not in the SAP system. The link for the call is provided by us from the Integrated Configuration.
The request comes in, calls an ABAP Proxy to check if a vendor exists and sends a response back to the SOAP call with a 'Y' or an 'N'.
I've read a lot about various scenarios but I'm having trouble connecting the dots as I'm fairly new to PI. I'd appreciate any help.
I've made the following set-up based on assuming I need separate Service Interfaces for the SOAP Request & Proxy Response
ESR
1. Message Types
SOAP (MT_SOAP_REQ & MT_SOAP_RESP) - PROXY (MT_PRXY_REQ & MT_PRXY_REQ)
2. Message Mappings
MM_REQUEST which maps MT_SOAP_REQ to MT_PRXY_REQ)
MM_RESPONSE which maps MT_PRXY_RESP to MT_SOAP_RESP)
3. Service Interfaces (Synchronous)
(SOAP Request)
SI_IN (Inbound Interface) with Request = MT_SOAP_REQ and Response = MT_SOAP_RESP
(Proxy Response)
SI_OUT (Outbound Interface) with Request = MT_PRXY_REQ and Response = MT_PRXY_RESP
4. Operation Mapping
OM_LOOKUP which maps SI_IN to SI_OUT with Request (MT_SOAP_REQ to MT_PRXY_REQ)
and Response (MT_SOAP_RESP to MT_PRXY_RESP)
I create the ABAP Proxies for each Service Interface. SI_IN contains the required coded method to check if there is a vendor.
I create the webservice and binding for SI_IN in SOAMANAGER
At this point I'm somewhat unsure - what do I need to do for SI_OUT ? Do I need to create a logical port ? how is SI_OUT associated to SI_IN (apart from the Operation) to get the response.
ID
In the Integration Directory I've created a SOAP_SENDER communication channel for System A and SOAP_RECEIVER channel for SAP. For the SOAP Receiver I need to specify a URL - what should this be ? Is it meant to point to the web service for SI_IN in SICF or just to the generic http://host:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Do I need to use the HTTP_AAE adapter for the receiver instead of SOAP ?
I created an Integrated Configuration for the SI_IN Service Interface with comm channel SOAP_SENDER from System A and SOAP_RECEIVER for SAP backend. I then got the WSDL for this to provide to the 3rd Party to test (via SOAP UI) . Again my concern is how is the SI_IN linked to the SI_OUT to achieve the response ?
I appreciate you taking the time to go through this . Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much

Message flow in SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only for ABAP Proxy synchronous scenario with Oracle DB
Dear Experts,
I am working on a synchronous scenario Sender ABAP Proxy <===> SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only <===> Oracle Database.I have successfully
configured all the proxy configurations as well both Sender SOAP and JDBC receiver channels are showing no error when pinged from
Cc monitoring in NWA.
1.During testing at Tx SPROXY , I am triggering a message and after 5 minutes I receive an PARSING error message with 2 messages in ECC
local IE i.e. Tx SXMB_MONI.
Note : In NWA , I can see only 1 message that too in cancelled status.
2.Seeing the trace of the messages I assume that the messages have not moved from sender ECC system. I am still confused with flow of message
from the Message Audit log. Audit log of error messages.Could any one share the full Audit log of a successful message generated in SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only.
3.I observed that the QIN Scheduler status in ECC is in INACTIVE status. There is no queue id for 2 messages generated in ECC. Does
it should in ACTIVE status in Tx SMQR..
Regards
RebeccaHi Thomas,
Valuable inputs..
1. Since I don't have any audit log for successful message, would you be able to share referring to the
below screenshot whether the message was put into receiver JDBC adapter and JDBC adapter tried to retrieve the Select response from Oracle Database.
2.I have done some setting in Advance mode of the receiver JDBC to increase the time out and other parameters as per SAP note but still the issue is same. If you perhaps have some experience in such scenarios, please share some input so that I can ask the Oracle Database administrator exactly what is required from our side.
3.Regarding the slow response from Oracle , there was some suggestion that the datatype of the request and response should match the column name of the Oracle database. I did that.. Do you have any more suggestion that may be hampering the generation of the response message from the Oracle like SAP note or document.

Soap to proxy - synchronous error
hi
i am working on soap to proxy scenario.
i am getting an error in message monitoring

Message E TD 604 cannot be processed in plugin mode HTTP
[http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30^Error "DYNAMIC_CALL_FAILURE"]
what could be the issue in it ?Hi
It is data issue, you need to debug the proxy for more detail about this error. Take the payload and debug the proxy in SPROXY. Also check below sap note.

SOAP error in synchronous scenario for ABAP Proxy with Oracle D/B
Dear Experts,
I am working in Sender ABAP Proxy <====>SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only <====> Oracle Database. My proxy configuration are working successfully.
Apart from that, I have maintained a SOAP sender communication channel under the ECC business system with
Transport Protocol as HTTP
Message Protocol as XI 3.0
Adapter Engine as Central Engine
When I am testing from ECC at Tx SPROXY, I am receiving following error.
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.adapter.xi.routing.RoutingException: InterfaceDetermination did not yield any actual interface at com.sap.aii.adapter.soap.web.SOAPHandler.processSOAPtoXMB(SOAPHandler.java:746) at com.sap.aii.adapter.soap.web.MessageServlet.doPost(MessageServlet.java:505) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:754) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:847) at
1. In XI3.0 protocol, I can not select BE but when selected HTTP 1.0 as Message protocol then I can find the BE.
2. No Response message is shown in ECC when testing the message.
3. How do Receiver JDBC adapter for Oracle Database is configured
4. What would be Message Protocol for Oracle Database i.e. XML SQL Format or Native SQL format for Select operation.
Please guide.. All your inputs will be appreciated......
Regards
RebeccaDear Indrajit,
Appreciate your inputs.. Yes I have configured all the ABAP proxy configurations and there no question of missing any thing as Tx SLDCHECK in ECC is working perfectly fine.
But still to go, some of the queries needs more input.
1.In ID, i have created a Sender SOAP communication channel with listed details.
Transport Protocol as HTTP
Message Protocol as XI 3.0
Adapter Engine as Central Engine
Is there any parameters which I may be missing from Module tab of Synchronous SOAP Cc ?
2. In the Cc monitoring, the JDBC receiver status shows "Database operation successfully completed" but I could not find any response data from database. The Message monitoring should have 2 messages for 1 trigger, but I could find only 1 message by SOAP only?
Sorry to bother experts...Please answer in sequence...

Werb services to proxy- synchronous scenario
Hi experts,
Can anyone help me with the detailed scenario of synchronous WEB SERVICES TO PROXY step by step. I tried searching in sdn but no luck.
Also tell me here that XI will expose the Outbound Interfaces as a Web Service Interface. how the Web Service Description (WSDL File) will be generated for the Interfaces in Integration directory?
Also mapping is not required here.
Thanks
Veeruwhat types of business systems have to create for this webservices to proxy kind of scenario
you dont need multiple business systems....just create one business system in SLD and then import it into ID.
Assign the inbound message interface to this business system and configure your scenario.
Check if a Business System already exists for this SAP system....if there is another Proxy/ IDOC/ RFC scenario developed for this SAP system then there should be a Business System created...just re-use the same.
If you need help on how to create SLD then just make a simple search on SDN.....you will find good blogs/ documents.
On the Sender side (WS) you need to create Business Service in ID.

Abhishek. -
Soap to RFC synchronous scenario
Dear experts,
i am doing a SOAP to RFC(BAPI_INTERNALORDER_GETDETAIL) sync scenario and the rfc returns a structure with the records as well as the BAPIRET2 records .
Do i need to use fault message types here ?
If yes what would be its purpose in this scenario ?
RaviHi,
if you have BAPIRET2 then all the errors will be over there
so I guess there is no need to use a fault message

Issue with Receiver SOAP adapter for synchronous scenario
Hello All,
We are facing a strange issue with the SOAP adapter in the interface we have setup. This is the 1st time we are using SOAP adapter in our system (PI 7.11 SP7). We are making a synchronous HTTP call to the web service exposed by another system in our landscape. The payload is send with SOAP envelope and there are no credentials to be maintained in PI settings.
The issue is that we are always getting timeout exception in PI audit logs after sending the request (3 minutes - standard timeout value, no additional config for this). But target system has confirmed that they are sending the response back. We tested from our server OS level and have received the response back in the same screen (to verify there is no firewall/port issue in between the systems). But when tried from RWB, it is always giving the timeout exception and we are not able to see any other log.
We have tried checking in the NWA logs as well after increasing the logging level to ALL for com.sap.aii.adapter.soap. But surprisingly, we didn't get any logs at all for the outgoing SOAP call or incoming response and hence we are unable to trace the issue.
We have setup another synchronous inbound SOAP interface (PI exposing the webservice) and it is working fine. We are also able to trace the logs in both audit log and NWA logs.
Is there anywhere else we can check for the logs? Audit logs is showing timeout error and we are not able to see anything in NWA logs.
Does the target system need to maintain PI credentials in the header when they send the synchronous response back?
Are there any specific settings which should be checked to enable the sync communication? (this should not be the case since the inbound interface is working fine)
Please help.
Thanks
JustinHi Amit,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes we had tested successfully via SOAP UI as well (forgot to mention that). We are getting back the expected response in SOAP UI without using any credentials. We got the same response when we tested it through OS commands from PI server.
The WS is hosted by the target system and they haven't maintained any credentials at their end. So when PI is trying to access, we don't need to provide any credentials. My question is, whether the target system should keep any credentials to send the synchronous response back to PI (java stack). We have tried that as well but since there aren't any logs, we are unable to verify whether the credentials are coming correctly.
The service interfaces are correct and PI configuration are OK. I will try the XPI inspector for logs as you have suggested.
Thanks

SOAP to RFC synchronous scenario with File
Hi,
My scenario is
Java application is sending SOAP message to PI and PI should route that message (after converting SOAP message to XI message) to RFC.
2) After receiving the response from RFC PI should send the response to java application. Now here comes the little tweak, we need to map RFC response to File as well apart from sending SOAP response message (which is generated after mapping RFC response message to Java application response structure) back to Java application.
Is it possible without BPM?Without BPM you can try below approach, but i would recommend you to use BPM.
Develop SOAP---->PI(rfc look up) -
> SOAP/JAVA application
map RFC loop up response to SOAP receiver and JAVA application/.

SOAP to RFC synchronous scenario with File without BPM
Hi Folks,
I have a requirement that has to be done with out BPM!!!
Requirement:
Soap will trigger the request to SAP(RFC) and SAP sends the response to a file and then after SOAP has to recieve the ACK from PI.
1) Can we do this by without using BPM
2)Can we use without BPM module entries for SOAP Sender
Please suggest and help me out in this
Thanks in advance,
Regards
vivekHi Vivek,
Why not have the SOAP interface defined as synchronous?
You can avoid using BPM that way.
Best Regards,
Ravi
