Social 1.5(215) bugs

Hi all,
I upgraded my N8 Belle with Social update. Since then, I've noticed some bug on my agenda / messages incoming. Name of contact is not shown on the chatting view just phone number (but name is shown on folders view...¿?).
In addition, some facebook contacts are not appearing on this Social update -they did before-. So I can't comunicate with them nor sync them with phone agenda.
Please solve this bugs!!!

Just updated to New Social ver 1.5.215 and guess what just within a sec after openeing it i founded a bug. Oh god i think Nokia doesn't even cares to check there software before releasing it.
I'm having a serious bug, I don't know its only me or some of you may have the same issue.
When i try to drag the page by placing my finger on the image [not on the profile pic] , only the image moves over the screen wierd, leaving everthing on the screen as it is. when i lift my finger the whole page moves. This is a serious bug and Nokia thanks for the buggy update.
Please let me know if you guys are also having the same problem.

701 Mail, Calendar, Social network and Web bug.

im pretty satisfied with my 701 but just right now i started to experience bugs. let me explain
Calendar- sometime (always when i go through widget) when i open a calendar, it opens a speciffic day (the one that is actual), and im unable to select month or any other view point, and i cannot see any of my notes in the calendar until i restart my phone.
Mail- widget sometimes doesnt refresh inbox even though i have it set on 15 mins. (happend last time for a week. thought i had no mail, instead i found 10 new messages.) also sometimes my mailbox wont open using widget, only with a normal Email icon.
Social network just doesnt want to open at all. says (in translation something like "Unable to launch the client"
Web- even though i have 3g network signal and mobile data are turned ON, opera mobile, and Web client (the nokia one) both cannot connect to the internet for some time.
i tried backing up my phone data (not applications only galery, phonebook, music, ebooks etc and videos) and erasing (reseting) my settings. when i turned my phone on again, it asked me to enter time, date, my nokia account etc. as if i just bought the phone. then i loaded my backup files. email looks like its working again, calendar got stuck just today again... social network still doesnt work, web still cannot connect to 3g network sometimes..
dunno what else to try, starting to be little angry, since calendar and web are the things i use more often then sms and calls.
is this common? will there be an update to fix this? or is there a simple solution to my prob?
i would add an attachment supplying info about my phone but i have no idea where to get such file.

Nokia Social 1.5.215 .... Location problems

When updating my status via the Nokia FB app it can't find my location. It brings up a list of 10 places that are not near at all to where I live or where I want to check in from ... Is this a bug? All other applications can find my location including Nokia maps, fascinate, foursquare etc but I like to use the Nokia one ... please help

Hi. I'm using Nokia Social 1.5.215 for Facebook in my nokia C7-00 with Belle. There will be further updates for this application? At the moment with this version I can't receive notifications, an error appears when i try to receive notifications. In the future will be introduced groups for Facebook? Thanks.

A new update 1.5.216 is available from today. Fire up the software update client on your phone or try via Nokia suite on your PC. I just updated via software update ment just a couple of minutes ago and the notifications bug is gone now.

Cant share specific episodes with the share icon. Does not even open to that station. Its annoying, why cant you share and be social.

This is a bug that really stops me from telling my friends about specific podcasts I like. I think this really hinders this app as well as hurts the whole podcast industry with this lack of social sharing.

N8 Social App Err-Script Alert

Of late im getting Script Alert while logging to Social App for Facebook.
Has anyone experiencing the Social app error .It was well n Good previously

I too have this problem suddenly this weekend. Have been running my N8 for several months without this kinda problems. Have done nothing special and all of a sudden got the script error of 'uninstalling .. re-install'. Re-installing it with 'SW Update' only works when manually removing 'Social' AND 'Social Installer' (in dutch the latter is something like 'Inst.Social ..'). This will install version 1.2.163. But this still leads to the script error.
Other solutions include manually installing "Social+Apps.zip", with intermediate reboots. This will install version 1.2.144 first and then 1.3.143. I have done this with all sorts of combinations with(out) reboots, but none of this helps.
Installing 'Social' via Ovi-store of now, will result in the latest version (with an 'Anna' alike icon) 1.3.215. However this one also doesn't work anymore in this case. It will just give a script-alert like 'plug-in not loaded .. resuming in demo mode'.
Searching on the net for solutiond, this one with the Factory reset (incl. delete data!) is the only one that seems to work .. but only when you don't restore your backup. I have read about someone who done this and it keeps working, but perhaps this person has done a partial restore? Don't know. Anyway, I had recently backuped all my things. I did remove the 'Social' app (and some dutch app called 'Buienradar' also - this one has given me black screens ever since) So my backup was quite clean. I did the 'Factory reset' plus 'Delete data' which gives an initial clean N8. After this even the latest version of 'Social' (1.3.215) works like a charm. And also my ducth app 'Buienradar' worked normally again. But .. after restoring my backup the problem is back...
So it didn't solve anything for me ( And on the bad side, I also lost all my conversations from 'Whatsapp' during this backup/restore (wihich is weird on it's own also).. ( But anyway, perhaps someone has some other ideas on this? Perhaps a restore without 'application settings'? I don't know. Have spent soooo many hours on this stupid issue already, so I would very much like to have a working solution, please.

I detect the following troubles
1) One contact that exists in Facebook don't appears in Nokia Social - Friends - All friends.
This contact appears in www.facebook.com and in official Facebook mobile aplication.
2) I linked some people between Contacts and Nokia Social.
Then in the phone contact, after the Nokia Social icon (blue and inside one "f" ), it appears a message (see what is doing XXX in Facebook).
But sometimes or in some contacts, the message don't appears.
After some minutes I return to one contact with message and then i can't see it (the opposite it's true too)
If a make a touch in the message area (but WITHOUT message), it works: the Nokia Social application starts with this friend
3) Nokia Social - friends
Some friends have a symbol or picture. Is a green notebook with a face in white
The icon appears and disappears like 2)

I discovered solutions to the two problems I was having with Nokia Social and Facebook friends.
1. For a missing friend. Reinstalling the Social app did not help. I visited Facebook using a web browser and unfriended the friend. Then I sent a new friend request to them. After they accepted the request, they came up on the Nokia Social facebook friend list.
2. Phantom unknown mystery friend. Again, reinstalling Social didn't help. They don't appear in regular Facebook so couldn't be unfriended. I deleted and reinstated my Facebook account in Nokia Social. Then the phantom friend was gone.
So far working OK.

N8 Social app updated to 1.5.215 questions

My N8 Belle just get Social app updated to 1.5.215, it works better, good job Nokia!
This update brings over most features in original facebook mobile app which is quite nice, now able to view notification as well.
One feature missing is this app still unable to view who like the fb post even the post showing there is someone like it. Anyone find out how to do it?
And where is the contact image that link from facebook store at? Contacts in my N8 linked to facebook profile & having friends' photo that auto link to contacts after first time click refresh at Social app home screen. But where is the contact image store in the phone after get profile photo from facebook?

Photos from the album acts very slow to download. No check-in button, and when you update all activity, it says update unsuccessful. Don't know which one, either Facebook or Twitter account has a problem. Probably, there is a bug.

BUG REPORT: Social App v1.3.237 poling data connec...

Social (version: 1.3.237) on Symbian Anna (Software Version: 22.014) on Nokia N8 (Product Code: 0599001)
Prior to opening the Social app data connection usage is normal, but when the app is closed again the data keeps being poled. Every few seconds the data connection (either 3G, GPRS or WiFi) will disconnect and then connect again. I have been able to repeat this bug 10 out of 10 times including after reboots of the phone. The only thing I have not done is hard reset the phone or re-install the firmware.
This version of the software was installed using Software Update on device. This install was straight after the Software Update install of two part Symbian Anna update which appeared after updating the device FW from PR1.2 to Symbian Anna. The two part update included the install of Internet Radio.
I hope this information is of use as the version I am having issues with is a public release and the only way to stop the data connection poling is to reboot the device. As soon as you open and close the Social app again the data connection poling starts again. Whilst the app is on the data connection is constant on as expected.

A BUG in Nokia Social 1.3

I have a problem which i cant seem to fix. I reinstalled my C7's 024.001 firmware today through latest nokia software updater. Everything seems to be working perfectly until i create widget or even if i create facebook or twitter account in 'nokia social app' it keeps on connecting to wifi and its like in every few seconds when wifi switches off it connects to it again. I even reinstalled nokia social but it didnt help except when i delete the app or logout from it completely, only then everything returns to normal. Can anyone PLEASE help me out with it?

The only way I can see it working is if the direct-to-field mapping is writable and the 1:1 is set as read-only since otherwise, if the OBB reference is null, it means the objects PK is null. I'm not sure how it was even queried with a null OBB as it means its OBA.id is null as well. This worked in 904 as it did not correctly validate PKs in the uow - this was fixed through bug 4569755. If you feel this should not have been changed, please file it with support and the fix can be revised.
The way I have mapped this in the past is that tab1 and tab2 are linked using the pks have same name option in the workbench (this makes tab2.id dependent on tab1.id). The OBA object then would have an id attribute that would represent the tab1.id and be writable, and if required, a 1:1 representing the OBB reference that was read only - allowing the OBB reference to be null if OBA entries can exist independently.

Nokia Social connection bug / problem (Epic Fail)

When you open an application which requires internet connection, the phone checks the saved access points according to their priorities to see if there is an available access point among them and when the phone finds an available access point, it tries to establish a connection. (Normally, WLAN connections come first prior to gsm operator connection (3G or EDGE) in order to save the cost.) This is OK so far.
Now here is the abnormal behavior; when you open the Social application, the phone does not check the saved access points whether they are available or not, it tries to establish the connection right away!! So, if you are somewhere out on the street and have for example 10 or more WLANs saved in your access list (I have 8 in my case), Social app tries to connect each and every one of them without checking whether they are available or not and gives connection fail message after it tries every WLAN access point then finally it reaches the end of the access point list and finally establishes the operator connection. This takes a lot of time and causes useless battery consumption. Most of the time it doesn't connect at all. I have to open any webpage to establish the connection first then I open Social app. Yet, to work around this problem, there is no setting to tell Social app to use a specific access point.
Is there any solution to this "another epic fail"? I'd appreciate if someone help me out on this.

Bug : N8 Social App - doesn't load images !

Hi,
I've got the latest version of the Social App on my Nokia. But when loading / refreshing it doesn't load images in Facebook timeline. Only after restarting the app, the already loaded items get their pictures.

It seems to work if you sign into facebook, then go back to the screen where it shows your accounts, then options, and at the bottom select "update service". Then go back into your social network.

I've been having problems with my C7 for months, have tried soft resets, hard resets and everything else...
Basically the clock and all homescreen buttons/widgets would stop working - could still access everything from the menu button - restart the phone and all ok for another few hours
When I was just about to throw out the phone I decided since my Nokia Social app never worked properly since I upgraded to Belle to delete it from the homescreen (incase there was a connection) and it's been perfect since!
So nokia, can I go back to the pre Belle version of the Social App? Or can you fix it?
Does anyone else have an older version of the app I can download? The only good thing about it is the straight upload of pics from the gallery to facebook/twitter.

After using Facebook on Social my C7 tries all the time to connect to wifi, even when forcing to shut it down. I have to reestart my phone. Symbian Anna 022.014 with Service Pack.

Firefox update 31.0 automatically signing me out email, social media, etc. automatically during current session. Any fixes on this bug yet?

Logging into accounts such as Gmail and Facebook, and getting automatically signed out after a few minutes of being logged in during the same session of Firefox. Haven't had this issue in previous versions of Firefox with current settings (safe browsing mode, clear history, etc.). This query is not about being logged in when I reopen and start a new session with Firefox - this issue is during an open Firefox session.
