Social Sharing and shares per year

I'm curious when folios are shared via social sharing, do the shared views (via the web viewer) count against the shares per year that are purchased? Or do the shares per year only count the app or issue downloads viewed on tablets?

The details are still being worked out. My understanding is that desktop views of shared articles currently are not counted as downloads, but they will be in the future. I believe that when desktop views of shared articles reaches the same number as the articles in a folio, it counts as one folio download. In other words, if a folio has 20 articles, 20 views of those articles on the desktop by any number of users equals one download. We'll provide more information when it's available.

Social sharing and device orientation

Is it possible to let the social sharing feature of Sprint 20 share not only the folio but also remember the orientation of the device?
Currently the landscape view is presented first. Even users that share the portrait view end up sharing the landscape view first. As the content can be completely different between landscape and portrait, or landscape can be a "rotate" icon. This is just confusing (at least with our test panel).
It might be that I have missed a setting but I simply can't find a way to either lock sharing into "show portrait first" or even better - to show what the reader shared (by passing on the device orientation).

We would love this improvement!
All our folios ar designed for portrait mode, but they contain a landscape version with image and caption only. The result is a shared folio that makes no real sense for the people who gets the invitation to read the webviewer-rendition of the folio:

BP Accout List And # Invoices Per Year

Hello All -
Would like to make a query that shows a listing of our BP account numbers and the number of invoices generated for a selected year.
Can anyone help with this?

For number 1, no problem at all, I could amend the query for you
Now for number 2, actually the query already achieve what you want. Let me give you an explanation about this :
and Year(T0.DocDate) = Year('[%0]')
The reason why we use the input parameter as date, because in Invoice table, system record date instead of year. So, the only way to make it as parameter input is to input the date. However, you shouldn't worry, because in the query, we convert the date as a year or in other word, we only take out the year as query parameter.
Let say you have below data as an example:
Date - Customer - Invoice #
15 January 2011 - ABC - 001
8 April 2011 - ABC - 002
27 June 2011 - ABC - 003
20 October 2011 - ABC - 004
3 December 2011 - ABC - 005
29 February 2012 - ABC - 006
6 May 2012 - ABC - 007
If you fill the date parameter with 15 January 2011, query result will be
Customer - Number of Invoices per year
ABC - 5
If you fill the date parameter with 27 June 2011, query result will be the same as well
Customer - Number of Invoices per year
ABC - 5
Why? Because for those two dates, the year is the same, 2011.
If you fill the date parameter with 29 February 2012, query result will be
Customer - Number of Invoices per year
ABC - 2
If you fill the date parameter with 6 May 2012, query result will be the same as well
Customer - Number of Invoices per year
ABC - 2
Those two dates have same year, 2012, so the result is same.
The bottomline is, ignore the date and the month, just choose any date as long as the year is the year you want to query with. I hope you get the grip.

Social sharing and iTunes Store

Hi!
When someone share with you a link with an email and you open it in Safari Mobile, you get this:
If the user have the appropried app installed on the ipad it will open the folio, but I would like to know if it's possible to transfert the user who haven't install the app directly to the iTunes Store with the url of the app, such as https:// or imts://

Yes, the Web Content Viewer is activeted, but I'm not building the app with this user.
1. Is this redirection URL in case of error?
2. The App is in Status "Waiting for Review", do I have to submit it after the change?

Social Sharing Publication url

We have submitted a multi-folio app for approval couple of days back.
The magazine issues we are planning to publish are free to download. During the process of app creation through 'DPS App builder', we have setup up social sharing through email, twitter and copy link.
Now, in the DPS App builder wizard, it asked for 'publication url' in which we have mentioned the website address for the magazine.
My question is, when people share the article how is our website address relevant ? should we have the folio hosted on our website in order to have this enabled ? or will it be shared directly through the DPS server ?
When we tried the sharing feature on dev app on the ipad, it just took us directly to our website and not the article which is hosted in DPS ?
Did we do something wrong ? or will it just work when the app is in production ?

All articles are protected by default, therefore social sharing to work, your articles has to be un-protected. You control those from the Folio producer dashbaord.

Enable social sharing for DPS enterprise APP

Hi,
My client is trying to use social sharing feature (share the article on someone's facebook wall) in the enterprise app for some reason. I have tried to build the enterprise iOS app from APP builder and the social sharing function didn't work at all ( the error message: unable to share. Sorry, this article is not available for sharing ). I think maybe the enterprise APP is for internal usage and not able to share any content outside the company. Does anyone have any experience about putting sharing feature inside enterprise app? Please advise. Thanks a lot.

Creating a custom app to proof social sharing

I have created a couple different custom apps to try to proof social sharing and I have created a folio with metered and free articles and published it private and free, and I have read everything (I think). I cannot get the navigation bar to show the "heads up display" for social sharing. Why?

Folios published as private won't appear in your custom viewer app. You need to publish the folios as public, and you need to enable social sharing in both DPS App Builder and in the application account (using the Account Admin tool).

Single Folio Apps: No Bookmarks and Social Sharing

I was just reading on DPS Help that Single Folio Apps don't support Bookmarks or Social Sharing. Does that mean that if I have Bookmarks linking to pages within my folio, they won't work? I know it looks like my question is answered in first statement, but I'm really hoping I'm not understanding something.
I have Hyperlinks in my TOC linking to bookmarks in the folio.
I don't know what Social Sharing exaclty is, so I don't think it'll affect me.

The term "bookmarks" means two different things in InDesign/DPS. There is the bookmarks feature in InDesign that links to other parts of the document when you view a PDF document, and there is the bookmarks feature in DPS in which you can add your favorite articles to the list of favorites. The PDF bookmarks aren't supported in DPS. The DPS bookmarks ("favorites") feature is supported. Here's a description.
BookmarksIf you enable bookmarks in Viewer Builder, customers can mark an article as a bookmark and then choose that bookmark from a drop-down menu in the nav bar to jump to the bookmarked article. Bookmarks work across multiple folios within the same viewer app.

When you say that you have hyperlinks in your TOC linking to bookmarks in the folio, what kind of bookmark are you referring to?

For material movements you can try MB51 with a date range. However it may be too much data. In that case you can query the table MSEG thru Se 16.
For the Purchase orders try ME80FN and see if that works for you.

Nexus 7009 bandwidth allocation per port in shared and dedicated mode:

We have 7009 with following I/O modules:
N7K-F248XP-25E --
N7K-C7009-FAB-2 - qty 3
N7K-SUP2
I would like to know that each port of N7K-F248XP-25E will get how much bandwidth in shared mode. if we are using only one port group with 4 ports each port with 10gbps is it possible in shared mode to get 40gbps in one port group.

I'm not sure there is such a thing as shared and dedicated mode on the N7K-F248XP-25E I/O module. I don't have one to test with, but you can see this if you execute the command show interface capabilities on your switch. If you look for the "Rate mode" line in the output it will show as dedicated or dedicated/shared. I suspect the ports on this module will all show as dedicated.
That said, with your configuration there is potential for some level of over-subscription.
The N7K-F248XP-25E I/O module uses a Switch on Chip (SoC) architecture with the 48-ports 10-GE ports connected via 12 SoCs, so the "port grouping" is ports 1-4=SoC 1, 5-8=SoC 2 etc.
Each of the SoC has 40-Gbps of capacity to the switch fabric ASIC, which in turn has up to 550-Gbps capacity to the switching fabric. The 550-Gbps fabric capacity is the maximum based on 110-Gbps per slot, per fabric to the installed Fabric 2 Modules. To realise this capacity there must be five Fabric 2 modules installed in the chassis.
From the hardware list you've supplied, you only have three Fabric 2 modules installed and as such you can only achieve a maximum of 330-Gbps per I/O module slot. What this means is that you have 480-Gbps host facing bandwidth, but 330-Gbps Fabric facing bandwidth, so a potential 1.45:1 over-subscription.
You can reduce the over-subscription into the switch fabric by adding additional Fabric 2 modules.

Withholding Tax accumulation on monthly and per year basis

one of client's requirement is they need to deduct TDS when the amount reaches 50,000 per month or 500,000 per month. In standard we can only give one accumulation type in withholding tax type definition, either per month or per year and also in min base amount there is only one field.
Is there any user exit available for this??
Can anyone please help me solve this issue.

above funtionality is not possible is Standard SAP.
Only one Accumulation is possible.
As per my knowledge there is no user-exit also.
