Social tab for facebook

Apple needs to be made aware of the "Social Tab for Facebook" app- this company has been able to send out an "update" needed and the program has NEVER been downloaded in the first place!!!! Once you go to update it- you receive a reply about being unable to update. Well even apple makes it that you are suppose to contact the company direct to complain- well they want you to sign in and since your a new person you would have to become a new member-etc. So please APPLE do something about this, it shows up as an app that needs to be updated and won't go away!!!

I'm getting messages of "script issues" when I am using an open tab for FACEBOOK.

I have an open tab, for MOZILLA FIREFOX AND another tab of mozilla firefox for FACEBOOK. As I'm using facebook, it starts running slower and slower, sticking in place and then finally,... a notice of a "script issue". I've had well over a dozen script issues, with firefox crashing..........

Menu Tab For Facebook keeps asking to update?

I've been getting this MSG since i got lion, this update keeps popping and i neber installed this app and when i click update tells me that is under other itunes account. I dont even know that person :/ any ideas or suggestions? thanks in advance

O.k. Thanks for the clarification. I poked around in my TimeCapsule router's settings (TimeCapsule is an Apple Airport Extreme router with attached hard drive for wireless backup/storage). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can disable multicasting with the TimeCapsule. I can change the multicasting 'rate'. Settings are Low, Medium, High. It's currently set to Low.
I did a few web searches, and found an Apple.com article: <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3789?viewlocale=en_US> which explained how to disable Bonjour Service Advertisements. I believe this is the same thing as 'Multicasting'. The process is a modification of "/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist", and a restart of the Mac is required afterwards.
I'm a bit concerned that disabling multicasting will interfere with my AppleTVs and iTunes music sharing, but I may try it next time I'm up for a computer workout. This task will require editing of system preference files, could require multiple restarts, might interfere with my AppleTVs, could interfere with my iTunes file sharing, doesn't have a documented relationship to my problem.
This is way to difficult for something that should just work. Did you say you had read something about a relationship between this bonjour multicasting and smb connectivity? If it was online could you post the link?
I'm currently able to connect to the drive using NFS, but I have to manually configure that connection each time I reboot (can't get the 'Disk Utility' configured to do it automatically). While it's working with NFS, it's not my preferred connect method (for various reasons).

I am using Firefox 16.0.2 on a Mac running OS 10.6.8 and I am trying to delete the saved login ID's for Facebook. I have tried everything, with no success. Help

No option to remove friends/social tab on "view" menu.

Images disappearing when on another tab for any amount of time.

I am a member on a ProBoards forum and have spent the past 24 hours discussing this issue with them assuming it to be fault at their end. Okay here's what happens. I have several tabs opened on my firefox browser the first one being my ProBoards writing forum. At the top of the forum I have random banners that load in. Now these banners should load in immediately and when they do, they should stay there the whole time. What is happening when I go to another tab, for say Facebook for any length of time, I am talking at least a minute or more sometimes less, when I go back to my initial tab with my forum the image at the top of the site is no longer displaying. The only way to get it to show again is to either scroll a fraction on the site, or click on another tab and back to the site again within seconds. I know it shouldn't be doing this and in fact only started last night. I have terrible OCD and this isn't helping me. Can you please give me an ansewr or at least fix the issue. ProBoards after 24 hours deem it to be a Firefox issue as I can't recreate the issue on Google Chrome but I really don't like or want to use that browser. Thanks.

Is the disk cache and memory cache enabled and working if you check that on the about:cache page? (open this page via the location bar)

Iphone5 plays wrong alert tone for facebook notifications.

Any browser is supposed to work, provided the rest of the infrastructure (Flash, Java) is up to date.
However, since FB is so prone to install/modify/alter its settings/cookies/environment, I prefer to keep mine sandboxed and access it only via a dedicated browser used for nothing else, thus minimizing the risk and exposure. When i get on facebook through firefox, i get multiple tabs of facebook. why is that happening?

when using firefox to get on facebook, after i login. i get a ton of opening new tabs of facebook. it keeps going and going til i'm forced to sign out. It only does that for facebook, not any other web sites. What is causing that to happening?

Gmail social tab not working

With Safari 7 and Mavericks I am back to problem with tabs for social and select mail not working and have to go to Chrome or Firefox to read and respond to Gmail. Help on a McBook 2 gigs middle 2009

Social Sharing on Facebook

I've followed all the steps on the link http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/kb/setting-dps-app-social-networking.html to setup social sharing with Facebook but I need to know if this new FB app needs to be submitted to review so Facebook can approve it or I just only need to set the app live to all the users?

All browsers return blank screen for Facebook. All other sites work.

I have 2 macs: iMac and MacBook Pro 17". Both are running the latest version of Mountain Lion (10.8.3), and the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome. Both have the same problem. When I try to open facebook, I get a completely blank window in my browser (regardless of which one). No errors, no spinning wheel, just white screen. I've been all over the net looking for a solution. I'm using https:, I can ping successfully, other sites load fine. I've logged out and logged in using a different user name and the same problem occurred after I went from my personal profile to a Page I manage (which means it changed URLs). I can't go to any facebook URL, not any help articles, etc. I've rebooted my router, rebooted the computer, restarted the browser. I am using a verizon MiFi as my router (my only way to connect to the internet), so if I boot to safe mode I have no way of plugging in to the router using ethernet. The only thing that changes anything is when I disable "javascript", not "java". When I do this, I'm able to browse facebook, but many of the features no longer work, so that isn't a solution.
I hope someone can help me, I'm not a teenager who is missing their friends, I'm a social media consultant and I need facebook to do my job!

if you have multiple LTS then you should set the content level approprately otherwise you can get errors during consistency checks.not able to find any link which talks only about content level.see these links and let us know if you have any doubts

I lose a bunch of tabs when I exit Firefox, even though I click for it to save the tabs for next time I open it

When I use Firefox, I usually have a bunch of tabs open. Sometimes I have a tab open as a reminder to look further into the subject, or I plan on going back to it to finish reading whatever it was. Before, if my computer would restart due to updates, when I started Firefox up again, it would say "Well...this is embarrassing" and allow me to reopen all the tabs I once had. This no longer works. I was even able to close Firefox through the Task Manager on windows, and have the same result. Now this doesn't happen. So I tried to close it and it asked to save my tabs for the next time I open Firefox. It doesn't save them, as it's always just my homepage and I never see an option to recall the old tabs. I even set the settings to "When Firefox starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time." This also does not work. I'm getting tired of having to remember all over again what sites I had up. Usually they aren't something that I need bookmarked, so that's why I don't do it. Also, it would really clutter my bookmarks if I did. Please help.

Thanks for the reply. I never get the option to "Restore Previous History" from History. I don't even have the box checked that asks to delete the history when Firefox closes. I don't know what's wrong, no matter what, I always lose everything. I have the box marked "Show my windows and tabs from last time" for when I open Firefox, but it never shows that, just my homepage. Also, when I check my History, it only shows the pages that I opened since I started Firefox, nothing from before. Even if I were to open up 10 pages now, close Firefox, and open it, the history would only show the homepage that opened this time, not any of the 10 pages that I opened 5 minutes ago.
