Social widget is now huge.

Why is it so big now? It takes up nearly half a home screen. I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates.
If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going.
There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them. Nokia, you're winding me up.
With Anna I had one home screen, now I need 3. Less is more.

For me it's rubbish and another annoyingly large widget. I liked Anna for the small neat widgets. I use to run all what I needed off of one home screen, now I need 3. Why is this better? Like I said, Nokia gave us more home screens because you're forced to use them for the over sized widgets,
I'm not sure if just having one home screen allowed me to save power, but my N8 seems to run out quite quickly. Even when I close down all my apps and so on.

Problem in N8 Ovi social widget

Hi,
I am using my N8 for over two weeks now. When i use ovi social network widget to access my facebook account, many images do not load. It is shown as image broken/blocked symbol (like the one we see on some emails when images are blocked when veiwing on desktop).

Hi, when you open social widget, select "Options" and then last one in list "Udate service". It will check for updates and you get message "your service has been updated"
After you get this message you can add or log-in to your FB account.
By the way since when are you facing this problem? is your handset new (1-2 weeks), if so you need to update your phone probably for software updates PR1.1 or atleast social (latest version 1.2.163.).

I was add some code to my site to help my site get found in search. When I finished I saw banner very big and not in position I want I decide to delete the banner. But now I got problem every social widget I will get that big banner the one I was deleted back and attach with social widget I add in please help. Please see the capture I have add all I want is only the bottom past. Some one help me please.

Please check if the code that you have used for banner still exists , as there is no other reason the banner should still show up on page.
You can check with a new page , if its same then verify the code that you have integrated.

N8 Ovi Social widget unable to connect to facebook...

Earlier I had trouble in viewing images and icons on facebook while using ovi social widget.
When to solve this issue i tried re-installing widget, it worked once and could connect to facebook. But now it is showing error Unable to connect gateway, try later.
However it is possible to log in to facebook using web browser, which means my facebook account is ok as well as no problem on service provider's side too.
Please provide solution.

It seems the server is down forever. I am not able to configure Social on my Nokia N8. Someone told to configure Ovi email. I did it.. but there I am getting error Service currently unavailable. I tried to find the reason I got to know that it requires Nokia Messaging service enabled. I have no idea how to configure Nokia messaging service. I am also not sure why does Facebook and Twitter configuration requires Nokia messaging service!... Can some one help?

Facebook Like Social Widget

Hi,
I'm having trouble with the 'Facebook like button' social widget after uploading my site. When you click on the button, the pop up keeps displaying a 404 error.

Nokia C7- problems with social widget and CNN vide...

I am having problems with my social widget and CNN video widget. I factory resetted my phone and my social widget was lost. I tried even the beta version of social but I am still in vain. The beta version showed me some error code and unable to install error on phone.I uninstalled the current version and installed the beta version but all was error. Fortunately I got my current version back from update.
I unknowingly deleted something related to CNN from the application settings and the CNN video widget renamed itself to CNN Video apac. I tried many ways even installed the latest E7 version of CNN video but still in vain. I updated my phone. tiried to uninstall the CNN video application but it shows the error delete cancelled. What should I do..?? I update my phone regularly atill I'm in vain. Please help me dear friends..I want my phone to be as new as when I brought from the market..

possible sollutions:
1)
because you hard reset try again now and get the 1.2 and try install this
if will install succesfull then try the 1.3
(if install error is coming again reboot device take out battery, back on battery and switch on and try install again)
2)
if not install or either download third party facebook and done (forget about the social from nokia)
(the ones i mention if you want to try them are almost same as nokias social)

also the fb from google v 1.0 works good and is almost the same but not in qt

How do I change the fonts on the main page.My fonts have recently changed without my doing anything. They are like 6 point instead of the 12 I am used to. Email font is now huge. Is this an ATT/Yahoo problem or Firefox. Safari fonts seem to be o.k.

I did nothing to change them, but after the event tried to change them using "preferences-Fonts"which had no effect. ATT seems to have made a change in their email. Can't insert custom HTML or change social widgets to update Phone layout

MUSE 2014.2.1.10, CL 787362 on Windows 8.1 i7 processor 24 GB RAM
Anytime I try to insert custom HTML in the phone layout pages I get a window that says webpage could not be found in a window that is too wide for the screen size and can't be re-sized!!!
I am adding scripts, inline css and custom form code. Need to republish changes and can't on mobile layout. Its local code but I get The webpage cannot be found error!!! It also does this with the built in social widgets.... The code is there in the page on export but you can't preview and since I can't resize the box to 380px wide ( it jumps back open) it throws off my layout when export page.   This is not just custom HTML but upon changing or adding any of the built in social widgets such as Google maps, Facebook or other social media. Forms, buttons, menus and compositions no problems... they work just as they normally would.
Preview mode just gives me the whole page as blank when I try to preview the page in Muse. HELP I need to update the address and the form to match the desktop site but the error is persistent! and undo does not revert it back to previous content I just get the webpage cannot be found box even on undo!!!!

The SECOND picture in my previous post IS THE PREVIEW... NOTHING appears when I try to view the page in phone view!!!!

Social widget unfolding behind text

Dear someone,
Ive used some social widgets on a site I made for a local artist. But when i click the likebutton, it unfolds behind the text beneath eventhough widgets are on the top layer and bodytekst on the bottom layer. Can i replace social icons in the Muse CC 2014 social widget?

I would like to replace the embedded social icons in the Muse Social Widget with some flat png icons I have. Can I?

It's not possible to replace the images as the widgets are based on the default site APIs, which generate the graphics server-side.

Gmail widget and now iDisk???

Someone help please! I'm trying to find/fix my gmail widget and now I think I screwed up whatever the iDisk is. I don't know when my gmail widget stopped working but from the post regarding the widget problems after updating to 10.4.3 it might have been around that time. It won't show any number in the star at all (indicating new mails in the inbox). Before, if it was having trouble it would at least show two small dashes to indicate it was at least trying to access the mail box. Now it's just a blank star.
So I was looking in the finder for a folder based on one of the feedback instructions to get the widget working and clicked on iDisk and a box popped up about something changing and that if I click to "Change All" it would affect passwords etc. so I figured I should click on "Don't Change" but that seems to have been wrong. Now if you click on iDisk it says "The volume for 'iDisk' cannot be found." What in the world did I do and what is that anyway?
I'm so frustrated! I just wanted the widget to work again!

helodriver, I'm not familiar with the dashboard widget you had. I had one also "flures" that I ditched in favor of Email Notifier It is a toolbar icon that works a treat. Just download it, put it in your applications folder & doubleclick to launch.

How do you embed social widgets within a slideshow widget?

I would like to embed social widgets, i.e. FB like, Twitter like and Pin it, into the individual images of a slideshow. Is this possible?
Here's a link to an example http://www.melissabarber.com/glisten.html. I would like to make each painting have social 'like' buttons on it, not just the page. It seems that you would have to insert them into the actual frame of the image's 'slide' but I'm unable to isolate it.
Is this possible?

Use a Composition widget such as Presentation and add the social widgets into the individual Target container of the Composition.

You can use social media by inserting their HTML code in Muse using the Object -> Insert HTML option.
For example, for embedding facebook buttons etc. you can find the embed code (that needs to be inserted as HTML in Muse) here: https://developers.facebook.com/
