SOFFICEINTEGRATION231 when editing standard text in Recruitment

I'm trying to edit standard correspondence text within the Recruitment module, but instead of getting the friendly Word like editor, I get the standard sapscript editor and the following error message:
SOFFICEINTEGRATION231
"Unable to find template".
I guess it must be some compatibility problem since this happens when working with Office 2010.
Is there any patch to correct this?

Hi, try this:
Go to transaction I18N, in the tree menu look for "I18N System Configuration" and then double click on "MS Word as Editor".
In the next screen be sure that none of the checkboxes are ticked and then click on "Activate"... answer yes, yes and that's it.

And if not, is it possible to make all edits I do on a document in another colour to differentiate the original text from my editing text? (Without pressing a colour swatch every time of course...?)

OK, thanks. Now, can I change the colour of the text on all the changes I make then? In the Edit Document Text tool, if I right click, then I get the choice of font and colour. I have changed the colour to red so my edits will stand out and yet when I make a change the text colout does not change.

How can I enable the ability to create links when editing site text in BC?

I am about to launch my first BC site for a client. I built the site using Muse. The client needs to update text and pics on their own using BC, which is fine, but when editing text, they are unable to create a link to another page. How can I enable the ability to create links when editing site text in BC? I can apparently do this in this post, but I don't see a way to do this for their site.

Grid control should be used if you have multiple dbs to manage.
But if you still want to install dbconsole, you can use dbca as already mentioned. it's much easier to do that using dbca.
With the manual method, you create the repository via emca -repos create.
Then you configure it using emca -config dbcontrol db. This will ask for sys passwords, ports setting etc...

Crash when editing URL text stored in dictionary

I sent a series of crash reports through ID to Adobe on this, I thought I would share it here as well:
Whenever I type into a text frame in an InDesign CS3 document a URL that has been stored in the spelling dictionary, such as "www.yahoo.com", and then try to select or edit that text, InDesign instantly crashes. I have tried it with new and existing documents, and several different fonts, including Type 1 and OpenType fonts. If I type a URL that is not in the dictionary, the crash does not occur.
When I remove the matching entries from the dictionary, I can type and edit those URLs without crashing. When I re-add them to the dictionary, the crashes resume.
The workaround is pretty simple, but I thought I would ask if anyone else has seen this.

On first attempt, I was unable to repeat this bug after installing the 5.0.4 update, so it appears to have been fixed.

Override Use of Protect-Endprotect Function when editing Standard Sapscript

Hi abapers,
I have made a copy of a standard form (F150_DUNN_01) and edited it according to the customers needs. One problem I have encountered is the use of seperate elements, As you can see in the standard form, the table is output as one element and the total appears afterwards in another element. As I am not editing the print control program I have added texts, etc. after the totals line but inside elements which I know are always output. I have recently noticed that some of the elements are protected using the 'CONTROL_FORM' function in the print control program.
This leads me to the problem, when I have between 10-15 records in the table the following elements (540 - 592) are printed on the following page. I have read about the protect-endprotect statements but in my case it would be between 2 elements.
I would like the totals line to appear along with the table and the rest can go on the next page.   Is it possible to use this method without editing the print control prorgam to call elements without protection? Elements 581 - 592 are currently protected using the 'CONTROL_FORM' function in the print program.

I think there is no documentaion available in any languagein the SAP.
So If possible give me any other reference by which I can search documentation.
Or just check it at your end if available send it to me.

Entire document momentarily flickers white when editing/adding text

Using Adobe Illustrator I exported an Adobe PDF. Back in Adobe Acrobat Pro -> content Editing -> I select some existing text and as soon as I type a single character, the entire document momentarily flickers white. Afterwards, the character I entered is visible. This happens each and every time I try to type. If I try to type a full sense, the screen is basically strobing until I stop typing.
This also happens in Acrobat Acrobat Professional.

You really should update the source document in Illustrator and generate a new PDF. If you need to retain any links, fields, etc. that you added in Acrobat, you can replace the old pages with the new in Acrobat (Tools > Pages > Replace).

Error message when edit the text symbol.

Hi, i'm new in SAP .my task is to modify a program which is created by SAP Query. the problem is, i want to add a new field into header. when i click the text element to add a new text symbol , the error message Inconsistencies exist, Display Inconsistencies ? if i clik no, the message "The maximum length of text symbol GH0 has been set to 132". The system also display the error message "The maximum length of text symbol GH0 has been set to 132" when i'm try to modify it. Kindly advice how i can handle this problem. i really have no idea how to change the text symbol.

Maximum allowed length for text symbols is 132 characters only. For details check the following links:

Create a letter using SO10 tcode and assign that letter using PACTV feature.Refer the PACTV feature documentation.

Standard Text doesnt contain correct format of Text in Recruitment

Recruitment Faxing & e-mailing only possible for standard text in SAPscript

Hi,
I am using the old recruitment module PA-RC ion ECC6 and I am trying to send an email to an applicant. When I try and do this I get message "Faxing and e-mailing only possible for standard text in SAPscript". In feature WPROC I am set up to use RTF. Is there no way to send RTF emails? Do I need to create SapScripts for anything that I may possibly want to email?

Selecting just text fields throughout the entire document when editing forms in Acrobat Pro XI

I edit PDF's all day and it is seriously time consuming to edit the properties of text fields when you can only select a few at a time due to other elements (checkboxes, radio buttons etc.) prohibiting you from simply "Selecting All" elements and editing them all at once. I do not want to change the Appearance properties of all elements, just all of one type throughout the document. Is there a way to do this?
Long story short I would like to just edit all text fields at once, then all checkboxes at once etc.

In the form edit mode, one can order the display of the fields by "name" or "tab order".
If I sort the fields by name order and then use the control key and left mouse button, I can select various field names and the right mouse click brings up the context menu and I can then select the "Properties" option and I now have the 5 tabs for the common properties for the selected fields. I believe using the control key and the left mouse button is the usual method for selecting specific items in a window listing.

Can my client add a link when editing text with the content management of Business Catalyst?

I created a site using Muse. My client chose to host with BC and take advantage of the content management option. She has edited text to include her email and wants to create a hyperlink from that text to her actual email. Is this possible and if so, do I need to change the user Permissions to allow her to do this?

Yes, she is editing content in the admin panel, but when she edits the text, she just gets the option to change text and update. There is not a button for hyperlink and then email. It seems like linking, something so simple, should be allowed. What do I need to do to allow this to happen for her?

Trouble with viewing font on spine of Photo book. I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the book itself when printed.

I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the photo book itself. When I preview the book it appears on the dustcover and the book, but not when I'm back in the creation or editing windows. I've printed 4 books in a series and two spines are one font size, and two others are a different font size. One of the books has a shortened title on the book spine.

The text on the spine will be the same text that is in the Title text box on the title page. You can change the font and style of that text just like you change any text in Aperture. Aperture will size and center the spine text for you
If you want the content or the font and style of the text to be different from your Title box text then you have to trick the program a bit. Put the text that you want in the spine into the Title text box and then move that box to a place on the page where it will not be visible when printed ( Y coordinate -1.0 inches for example). Don't move it too far away or it will be hard to get back to in order to make an edit. Then make a new text box on the title page and put the text you want on the cover in that. (Or make a book without text on the cover , but with text on the spine).
You are 100% correct in that you can not preview this unless you preview the printed book

Outline box when editing text in PDF using v8

We are running, Windows XP, Acro8 with updates. Created PDF files from within INDCS3. Many of the frames are independent.
When trying to edit the text using the touchup text tool in Acrobat v8, it outlines complete area on the form which are not the same as the frames in INDCS3.
Was this something new in v8 and how could this be removed via preferences.

It has nothing to do with iOS 6. It's always been that way. Given that it's been this way for so long, one assumes that Apple knows about it and has their own reasons for not changing it.
Restore the phone as new, not from back up to delete the numbers. Or, wait until the cache gets overwritten.
