SOFM ATTACH Error..
Hi there,
There is a user decision step, for the manager to approve. After he opts to approve, I have to create an attachment in the workflow, saying "Manager approval by". I donot have to send this to anyone. I need this to be a background step. Please help me with this soon.
I am trying to use SOFM ATTACH, that gives me an error saying "document does not exsist...
Thanks,
Sukumar.
Hi,
The purpose is in the workflow there would be an attachment, which says that "Manager approval by:", so that throughout the workflow, if there is an activity step, subsequently after the attachment is created. It will show up under "objects and attachments", as "manager approval by". Let me know if you still donot understand.
Thanks.
Sukumar.

Attaching Error Status to Outbound IDOC. ?
Hello Experts,
We have a scenario in SAP PI / XI were upon creation of a Sales Order , Purchase Order or Material Master Flow to Non-SAP System through SAP PI/XI , the IDOC shouldn't flow to SAP PI following a validation on Material Group.
The IDOC is triggered through Output Type , there is a custom Z function module which create outbound communication IDOC. This output type is attached to a Process Code ZSO, ZMPO defined for respective scenarios defined above.
Currently i am attaching the the status = 07 to control data structure & the IDOC is getting created but is having error.
Is this the right practice to follow for attaching error message Outbound IDOC.
Awaiting for your response.
Best Regards
Priyesh ShahIt depends on the business requirement.
in a previous project, if there was any error during the validation of the data within the iDoc before it is created and sent, i would trigger an error and send the error to the person who created the data with the error for them to correct. they would then correct the error within the document and save and the iDoc would be triggered and sent correctly. -
Attachment error: Object Link type in UWL
Hi,
This is regarding the UWL - opening the attachment.
we have integrated the solution manger to the Enterprise portal where
the workflow tasks of the solution manager will be displayed in the UWL
of the Enterprise portal.
The workitems are displayed properly, but when we try to see the actual
work item attachment it is giving error as follows:
"Attachment error: Object Link type . See log file for details "
The detailed error we have taken from the UWL.log, which displays as
follows:
" Mon Mar 12 20:45:42 GMT+05:30
2007:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.core.connect.webflow.util.ObjectLinkException: Mon Mar 12 20:45:42 GMT+05:30 2007 CRM Context service has not
been installed "
The URL which goes like this:
http://ep6devn:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.UWLInformation?key1=AttachmentError&key1_param1= Object Link type .
Similarly if we try to open the same attachment in solution manager by
logging at SAP-GUI frontend i.e. through Tcode:SBWP and selecting the
workitem, choosing the objects and attachments. it is displaying the
actual message.
Enterprise portal current status: EP 6.0 NW2004-SP16
Solution manager status: SOlution manager 4.0 NW2004s-SP8

Launch button in personas is not working and i get attached error
Dear Experts ,
i have just configured my sap screen personas successfully and i can launch it from recommended path : /sap/bc/bsp/persos/mainapp/
i can copy a flavor and work with it fine but my issue is that the launch button is not working and it gives the attached error image
i followed the configuration guide step b step
can you help me solving this issue as i don't know what i'm missing ..
regards ,
Yasser AfifyThree people reporting a problem hardly qualifies as "quite a bunch". Actually, it is rather common that such issues turn out to be caused by a configuration or installation error.
If you double-checked and are 100% certain that ALL the notes are properly implemented and everything is configured correctly according to the configuration guide, then open an OSS incident so the support team can take a look at your system. There is no "easier approach". -

Yaswanth kumar PIt seems to be some Basis Issue. May be something from Basis or security side needs to be done. We had experienced such issues previously. The basis team can resolve this.

Workflow mail attachment error
Hi,
We have configured HTTP Content Repository to store GOS attachments in IXOS external system, in stead of storing in SAP DB SOFFCONT1. We are able to attach files manually using GOS functionality provided in SAP applications like Purchase order, Invoice, Accounting document and also SAP mails. We have noticed that all attachments are storing in IXOS content repository also able to open and view the files.
We are also inserting OTF links via workflow automation mails and storing them in IXOS content repository, but while clicking on the link instead of opening file it is giving error.
If I modfiy configuration to store the same OTF link in SAP DB table SOFCCONT1 it is storing and able to open the file, but it is not opening when I route then to IXOS content repository.
Please let us know your thoughts.
Regards,
Balaji NaravulaHi,
This issue has been resolved by debugging the entire functionality.
Here is the solution :
The method CONVERT_TO_SOFM of class Z_ED_DISPLAY_IDOC is not passing the file size to the function module SO_OBJECT_INSERT. Hence the file parameters not getting stored properly in the target system IXOS. Code has been modified in method CONVERT_TO_SOFM as below and it is working fine.
Get the folder ID
CALL FUNCTION 'SO_FOLDER_ROOT_ID_GET'
EXPORTING
region = 'B'
IMPORTING
folder_id = l_folder_id
EXCEPTIONS
OTHERS = 1.
IF sy-subrc NE 0.
RETURN.
ENDIF.
Get the CustomerPO number*
READ TABLE me->git_edid4
WITH KEY segnam = 'E1EDK01'
INTO lv_edid4.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
lv_e1edk01 = lv_edid4-sdata.
ENDIF.
lv_object_data-objnam = 'SOFM'.
lv_object_data-file_ext = 'PDF'.
CONCATENATE 'Customer PO '
lv_e1edk01-belnr
INTO lv_object_data-objdes
SEPARATED BY space.
Insert Start - added below line to rectify file size transfer to target system*
lv_object_data-objlen = l_filesize.
Insert End*

Universal Worflow - SOFM attachment
We have implemented Universal Workflow in a test environment. NW7, ECC 6 EhP4
A PDF attachment to the workflow item can be seen by the creator and one user but the other two users do not see the attachment.
Is there an authorization in ECC that is needed? Any ideas why 2 of the users cannot see the attachment?
Thanks,
D.Maupin
University of KYHi Donna,
This sounds like an role issue or is the one user the agent of the task in the backend?
Can the user that can see the pdf open it in the Universal Worklist? I know that I just worked on something where the SOFM docs needed note number: 1430123 implemented in the backend. But this would be applicable if the attachment wasn't openeing from the UWL.
Cross compare the portal roles for the two users. Cross compare the backend authorizations for the two users, and maybe this will help to determine what the issue is. Are there any errors being written to the default trace file for the user that does NOT have the attachment in the inbox?

Back up first, just in case, but it shouldn't effect your library.
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

B2B - Email with XML attachment - Error in reading the xml file
Hello,
We have a requirement where an application sends an email with an xml attachment to a Lotus Notes (IMAP) mail box. I have configured the Partner, Agreements and Listening Channel to pick up the file from the mail box. Looks like when B2B is trying to read / store attachment, it errors out, there is no instance in B2B created. Looking at the logs, the file content is not read as XML, instead it seems like a text. When B2B tries to read the attachment it is not xml, there are no error messages as well.
The "Content type" in the Listening Channel is set to blank, so B2B can decide appropriate content type. Should this be set?
Could some one tell me what is wrong, not sure what is missing in the configuration.
Thanks,
Venkatesh
Here is the log in Trace 32.

at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4C8Oall.processError(T4C8Oall.java:889)Thanks Anuj,
After setting the property, I am no longer receiving the error, however, still fails with a different error, "Exception occurs in conversion from mail to TransportMessage. Please make sure the message sent is in correct format." and "TransportMessage cannot be created from mail. Skip this mail."
The error appears after / while, executing, IMAPMonitor.saveAttachment():
Is this a problem with the attachment or the email?

Hyper-V VM can't start with VHD attached, error 0x80070422
Hi,
i'm in a big trouble with Hyper-V on a Windows 2008 R2 server. Hardware is a HP Proliant DL360 G7. Role are DC, Hyper-V (yes, i know it's not recommended), AV client is Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10.2, and everything was working fine for more than a year.
Here is the full story, with the first part of problem i resolved.
First part:
I had problems with HP NIC (nc382i) when trying to update drivers to last version, and with HP Network Config Utility. I updated NIC drivers, then reboot, and i had the BSOD on boot, even in safe mode. So i had a look to minidump with debbugger, to find
reasons, and it seems the ksecdd.sys driver was the culprit (cryptographic kernel driver), but didn't get why, unless Kasperksy had to to something with it...anyway, i was able to boot by using the last good know configuration, and then I
removed the virtual switch on Hyper-V, dissolve HP network team (4 NICS), update drivers, then HP NCU, then tried to add a new Hyper-V virtual switch, all of these of course with VM stopped, and with autostart disabled on host reboot. I had BSOD only in normal
mode, no more on safe mode, so i used again last good known configuration, removed Kaspersky Endpoint Security, HP team, and virtual swith, used all drivers which were old working versions, made again HP team, virtual switch, and everything went fine, at last!
Boot with no errors, network was up and usable, all services were fine. Maybe it isn't important, but the only thing i realised is that network takes long to be up on reboot...
Now, second part with actual problems: i tried to start VM in Hyper-V...and i had the famous errors:
Microsoft Emulated IDE Controller (Instance ID {XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}): Failed to Power on with Error 'The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled
or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.' (0x80070422).
And events ID 12140, 12010 and 12030
No matter what VM i tried to boot, it won't. Even if i try to create a new one, same issue.
I had a look everywhere to find solutions, so i tried with no luck :
- Change registry key to let correct a timing issue with FSDepends.sys and with
VHDMP.sys ("Start" REG_DWORD at "0" instead of "3" in "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FsDepends")
then reboot
- Verify all access to registry, files, etc. with procmon utility to find a security problem
- Uninstall ARCServer BrightStor Backup, clean in safe mode any trace of Kaspersky with
kavremover utility
- Reverse to old HP BIOS which i know is working on others servers with same configuration
- Verify again access to file and registry while trying to boot VM with
procmon utility
- Removed Hyper-v role, then after reboot, install all same HP drivers for NICs, HP NCU, which are working on others servers, then reinstall Hyper-V role, create new VM...
- Verified many times files integrity with sfc (online and offline...)
Finally, i was able to boot a VM, only if i remove attached VHD, and i use only a DVD on IDE Controller, for booting for example on a Windows Server ISO. If i use an SCSI Controller, even without a VHD attached to it, i have other error:
Microsoft Synthetic SCSI Controller (Instance ID {XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}): Failed to Power on with Error 'Insufficient Memory' (0x8007000E).
So i think the problem is with kernel driver, vhdmp.sys, or something like
vdvroot.sys, but i don't know how to correct this, and i'm in a dead end...is someone know for example what means the
0x80070422 error ? How can i verify kernel driver integrity?...
Any suggestion will be greatly apreciated, thanks!Hi,
That error occur often is the Unknown Device installed which was related to vhdparser, maybe the AV soft change the vhdparser.
Please try to changed the startup value for FsDependes from 3 to 0 and also uninstalled the Unknown Device which was related to vhdparser from device manager.
If you are using the pass-through disk please install the following hotfix:
"0x0000000A" Stop error on a Windows Server 2008 R2-based or Windows Server 2012-based Hyper-V server that has many pass-through disks

PO attachment error - Read error during PC upload
Hi Gurus,
I am getting the error when I am trying to attach any file in ME22N, by clicking the services for object button, create attachment, and select the attachment.
The error message is "Read error during PC upload" and "The attachemnt has not been created".
The system is upgraded to ECC 6 last year and have not tried this function before.
Thanks in advance.
DuraiHi,
They are not using any interfaces (EDI), no idocs. They are using either fax or email and post modes only.
After saving the PO, we can able to attach the documents by clicking the services for object button in ME22N. But I am not able to attach the document to PO.
Thanks for your response.
Regards
Durai. -
Installed Snow Leopard. Now when I attach a document to a new email, I get an error message: Mail was unable to save the attachment “Aug.31.09 Business Building 1-5.doc” to disk. Verify that your downloads folder exists and is writable. This happens when I click on the attachment. The Downloads file is there as is the file I have attached.
Can someone tell me what is causing this error message and how to fix it?
Thanks!Let me walk through it step by step. Maybe more info will help.
New Message, enter addressee, enter subject, in the body I add the attachment, then press Send and off it goes just fine.
If I do all the above but prior to pushing Send, click on the attachment, I get the error.
Yes, the obvious answer is "Don't click on it!", but sometimes I need to check it to see if I put the right one in. -
Hi,
I have written a simple email client that sends a multipart message with a zip file attachment. I have written another email client that receives that email. I built it from looking at the javamail samples and the JGuru tutorial. Everything works fine on one mail host I am using, but I get errors on another email host. The two errors I see are....
javax.mail.internet.ParseException
at javax.mail.internet.ParameterList.<init>(ParameterList.java:61)
at javax.mail.internet.ContentType.<init>(ContentType.java:83)
at javax.mail.internet.MimeMultipart.parse(MimeMultipart.java:269)
at javax.mail.internet.MimeMultipart.getCount(MimeMultipart.java:159)
and...
javax.mail.MessagingException: Missing start boundary
at javax.mail.internet.MimeMultipart.parse(MimeMultipart.java:297)
at javax.mail.internet.MimeMultipart.getCount(MimeMultipart.java:159)
both of these errors occur when I call the MultiPart.getCount() method. I have seen a lot of similar posts here, but no solution. One hint at what my problem might be is that the host that I get the error on is in Europe. The most confusing thing is that other than having a different boundary, the received message that works correctly looks identical to the one that doesn't work.
Any ideas on what the problem is?
Thanks.Yes, I am having the same issue. But I am seeing these issue after the exchange server is upgraded to 2003. It seems like there is an issue with Message format in Exchange 2003. Any idea what we need to do fix this issue?

T440s - "Incorrect AC adapter is attached" error message
Hi
I have suddenly started getting an error message saying:
"Incorrect AC adapter is attached.
The AC adapter may not provide enough power to your Lenovo computer. Please reconnect proper AC adapter. To buy additional AC adapter, click here"
I am using the shipped power adapter and haven't had any problems previously. However the strange thing is that the machine charges when it is off. It is only when it is on that it won't charge so I assume this means it is a software problem rather than hardware?
Any help would be much appreciated as I would love to be able to fix this myself rather than go to Lenovo who already had the computer for 3 months befoe they could fix the last problem...
ThanksHi waynelongdon
To give some more background, I purchased my computer in New Zealand and never had any problems but I subsequently moved to Chile and the problem was occurring intermittently in Chile. I took it to Lenovo Chile and they advised me that the AC Adaptor I was using was not big enough and was not certified to be used with the T440s. (This is despite it being the original AC adaptor that was shipped with the new unit). The original AC Adaptor supplied was a 45W Lenovo Adaptor model ADLX45NDC3A. Lenovo in Chile replaced it with a larger 90W Lenovo AC Adaptor model ADLX90NCC2A. This has fixed the problem.
I never quite got to he bottom of why Lenovo in Chile thought that the adaptor supplied in NZ wasn't certified to be used with the T440S.
As the problem wasn't occurring at every outlet I plugged into in Chile I can only guess that potentially the power supply throughout Chile (or maybe it is building to building) is not completely standard and some outlets were giving out more power than others? (Both NZ & Chile use 230v mains electricity). But I have absolutely no knowledge or education in electricity so it could just as easily be something completely different.
Good luck.
