Softcard??

Can anyone explain why the Verizon OEM installed Softcard app received an update today and has been defunct since March 31st? It's bad enough to have unwanted, uninstallable, bloat on a new flagship (Turbo) phone but having a dead, non-functional app is beyond the pale. Yet, this dead, non-functional app received an update today. C'mon Verizon, get this abortion of an app off our phones.

I also use Wallet but disabling an app simply because it cannot be uninstalled is not a substitute for a solution. This is a prime example why pre-installed apps should be minimized. Most customers had no desire for this particular app anf now, couldn't use it if they wanted to. Yet, we are preventing from removing the dead weight from our devices. Unacceptable.

It is a bit annoying when Verizon , ATT and T mobile are all using the same service with Softcard. But if Google wallet is working for you keep it.

I'm having trouble setting up softcard on the DROID Turbo

I've been trying to set up Softcard on my DROID Turbo for a couple of days now. I get the message Your phone can't connect to the 3g or 4g network right now or a similar message telling me to restart the phone.
Phone is always connected to 4g lte and I've tried turning wifi off.
Anyone know of a solution? Overall I'm loving the Turbo and I'm really wanting to give Softcard a try to see if I like it better than Google Wallet but they don't seem to want to play nice together.

Try this shut the phone Down safely remove the Sim Card, for about 5min. reinstall as a again use caution as the Sim can fall out of the Sim Tray then re-power the phone see if you can relaunch it

How do I completely remove the Softcard app from my phone?

I uninstalled from the Play Store screen, but it still shows up as installed and waiting for my approval for an update. I don't want it, I will NEVER use it, I'm ****** that such an invasive app is automatically installed on my phone without my approval or even my knowledge. I want it GONE.

Keep in mind, ALL carriers(and manufacturers) have their own bloatware on their phones which cannot be removed from the devices.
Personally, I like to look at the bright side of things and use Softcard for the benefits it gives me to the tune of ~$50/month(each month since June of this year) in freebies and an additional $30 from now until the end of 2014.
That is $380 in free money just this year, not to mention the $200+ in freebies I was able to take advantage of last year.
There are even some which I have not taken advantage of.

SoftCard not working on my Droid Turbo

Hi all, I just got my droid turbo and I love it but the softcard app won't work. When I go to create an account it says that the phone is not connecting to the 4G/3G network and it clearly is because I disable wifi and can see that it's on the 4G network. Any advice?

That's the issue I'm having now. The problem is I turned wifi off, restarted my phone, am on 4g LTE, and still get the data. Working with Verizon on that now, but not hopeful. Might have to stick with Google Wallet only...

Hi I need help I got an email for $100 off a tablet and I wanna use it online but I can't and no promo code and no one in chat can help. But when I call the tablet price goes up. Also I come from T-Mobile and I can't get my softcard (isis mobile wallet) to work with Verizon or get a new one. Thanks

All softcard have their own apps. I would also assume they have different t promos.

Got my S5 last week and installed my old SIM card from my previous phone as per the Verizon instructions. Now I am seeing messages on certain apps that say things like "to use Softcard, your phone needs a new SIM". I received a new SIM when I purchased the phone, so how do I now go about exchanging the old SIM for the new one?

Suncrow, congratulations on your upgrade to a new Samsung Galaxy S5! We recommend that you use the new sim card that came with your device. Just power it off and insert the new card. Your device will automatically start the activation process and complete on it's own. Keep us posted.

However, Apple Pay will work with almost any store that accepts NFC payments. If they accept Google Wallet or Softcard then they most likely also accept Apple Pay.
