I have miss placed my access code for my educational use copy of final cut pro 4. I have the code off the box and it doesn't work. I hope I'm not out a $1000 software because of my over sight.

Look for the booklet titled "Installing Your Software" that was supplied with the software. The serial number sticker(s) were originally affixed to the front of that booklet.

Software Protection Code

What to do when you entered all the require info JDE System Values screen and when try to log in received a Code 4- Software protection code invalid (SPC or Maximum users).
I enter on the web site to generate my key but keep getting the same error. The SPC is the one generated from the website and the Max users=20.

I am not sure if there is a place to download a software protection code. So much has changed since JD Edwards was bought by Peoplesoft, and Peoplesoft was then bought by Oracle, and I have not needed to deal with SPC in many years. You definitely need a support agreement for JDE World to even be able to get a software protection code generated. You would need your AS/400 serial number and other processor information. You definitely want to contact Oracle support (JDE World portion) to find out how to get the software protection code. Oh, doesn't your install instructions have instructions on how to obtain and install the Software Protection Code. It should have that information.
By the way, when you say standalone on your machine, are you talking about a PC? If you are, then you might be in the wrong forum. JDE World can ONLY be installed on an IBM AS/400 computer. It cannot run on a PC. So you may be working with JDE Enterprise One (One World). If you are trying to install JDE Enterprise One, there is actually a separate forum for that. If you go back to the forum home and scroll down past JDE World, you will then find the JDE Enterprise One forum. So you would want to post this item there if you truly are trying to install Enterprise One on a PC.
Technically there is a large difference between World and Enterprise One.

If you have valid microsoft ID i.e. Outlook, Hotmail.Live which you have given to prometric then use that microsoft id and try to login on https://mcp.microsoft.com it
will work
If you have given non microsoft ID for prometric then create one microsoft ID and login with same microsoft id which you have create then your non microsoft ID on which you have received mail regarding passing exam contains a link use that link

CVS is more command based.. and I dont see Visual
Source Safe going anywhere... They dont have Visual
Source Safe.NET also..In my opinion Subversion and using the tortoiseSVN
client for win32 (http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/) is
so infinitely better than source safe, it's laughable.
And its free!Unfortunately I'm stuck with VSS at my company, but thanks for the heads up on Subversion, dmbdmb. I didn't know about it.

Work Flow Software for Code

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for a software product that would help regulate programmign work flow. For example: if we have several programmers working on the same application, we want a)everyone to have the same version of the application and b)to make sure work flow of the code is, at least, somewhat regulated.

We use Starteam, it lets you assign task to people and provides source control, plus there is an ANT optional tasks for it so you can perform a checkout on a build and be sure your building the most current version.

I have never personally used CVS but its version control? Is it like Visual Source Safe?

Can you use it via a network (and via the internet) - then yes.
Can you normally use it from a browser - no. But then I would suppose that before you can set up CVS (or any version control system for use via a browser) you must first have a web server. Do you have a web server?

Desktop software error codes 0x8004104c and 0x8004fcd6

Until yesterday I have been using desktop software to sync with Outlook and it has worked perfectly well. Now suddenly my contacts and tasks have synced OK but the calendar will not. I am getting the error medssage: "Error encountered. Error code 0x8004104c. Check documentation". Yesterday I got the same message with a different code: 0x8004fcd6.
I am using Windows 7, Outlook 2003 SP3 and Desktop Manager 5.0.1.37. My device is Blackberry Curve 8520.
The error messages both say "check documentation" but what documentation? I have searched high and low and can find no reference at all to either of these codes. These sort of messages are an inexcusable cop-out, particularly when the company itself makes itself impossible to contact without the threat of charges,
Please, can anyone help with an explanation of these error codes, and some guidance about solving the problem?

Trouble installing AOL software-error code and message during instal

I had the earliest version of AOL software installed initially with the intro of Mac OS 10. Upgrading to the latest version of AOL's software for OS 10, now using OS 10.4.4, interupts during the installation process with the message 'Error creating folder' and the code 1008:9,-5000.
I have deleted all files referencing any other version of AOL on the computer including all items in System 9 (I also used this opportunity to delete all vestiges of System 9 from the computer). Everything is up to date on the computer. Both AOL online and telephone support were worthless. Any help would be appreciated.

problem was solved much later by installing the program onto a blank CD-R and then moving it onto the hard drive in the applications folder. Never figured out what the error message meant

App software redemption code link?

I have received my redemption code for the OSX 10.8 software but cant find where to install the code to download the software? I have been to ITunes and gone to quick link as described on the email, no luck there it just explaines that I have to enter code in the app store...NO LINK in error messege and then I am lost I have looked everywhere? A link would be a huge help?

First your Mac must have at least OS X 10.6.8 so that it has the final public release of the Mac App Store. You do not use the redemption code in iTunes, but the Mac App Store (Apple menu.)

some files of the software Cyberlink PowerDVD were corrupted. I don't know why or how. So I uninstalled the software. When I tried to reinstall it, I received an error message:
The file '_92AD7228701845DC95F96492889CC6D7' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'.
How can I solve this problem? A system restore didn't help.

I suggest you clear Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder, then manually download the software package, install again.
You can also check whether some residues entries for the software exist in registry
HKLM\Software\Classes\Installer\Products
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products
Or some other entries.
As Zig mentioned, software vender is more familiar with the product, it's recommended to contact them for further analysis.

EVERYBODY has access to their RSC. Just look up the phone and email in this page:

Send an email ([email protected]) or call them on the telephone, and they should be able to send you a new access code.
