Software & Apps installation issue on E7-00

Hi everybody
Since yesterday when I tried to check out the SW updates for E7-00 I'm getting 'Refreshing failed. Try again later.' error. (I have checked up Access Point settings; all other apps which need to connect to the internet works properly).
Also I noticed that I can't install any *.sis applications neither on C: nor on E: drive, getting 'Unable to install' error.
Although, Menu -> Settings -> Application Manager -> Installation Settings -> Software installation: All
There I also noticed that at Menu -> Settings -> Application Manager -> Installed apps. there's only few installed applications are displayed and others gone, though they appear on Menu -> Applications.
Please, help me to solve this problem.

@FoxNadir
Something is obviously amiss here so firstly, you may have to backup essential data and then reset device by pressing menu button > Settings > Phone > Phone management  > Factory settings > Delete data and restore > YES
You could also try re-installing software using Ovi Suite on your PC.
Sometimes only remedy if things have gone seriously wrong is to have firmware re-flashed upon device at Nokia Care Point should one be readily available in your region.

  • 3rd party app Installation issues with Leopard

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro with Leopard installed. I have been trying to install (from original media) a number of applications (such as Office:mac 2004) that install and run well on my old G4 running Tiger. On Leopard the installer won't even open the package. I have checked permissions, am in an admin account, etc but nothing seems out of place. I also recognize that these installation packages are pre-Leopard but I can't imagine all my software is now obsolete. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Doug

Yes I have checked selected applications that I am having issues with. Office:mac 2004 is being used by others on Leopard and Intel based platforms. Not sure if 100% of these users migrated the installation from a prior machine or were upgrading the OS so already had it installed but that is highly unlikely. A demo copy of this even came with my machine. Per advice from other discussion groups this was completely removed prior to trying to install my bought copy of the software. I had believed that Rosetta would allow most (all) apps that ran on a PowerPC under Tiger to work. Since I can't get the installer to even run, I can't tell if the app itself will work.
BTW, I am about to go back and reinstall Leopard to see if that solves the problem.

  • Adobe AIR app installation issue due to certificate problem on mac 10.9.5

Im trying to upgrade and then reinstall an Adobe Air application but get the error message failing to install due to a certificate issue.
The developer says the fix is to uninstall the app and install again but this also fails.
Checked my machine clock - saved but that didnt work
The adobe AIR uninstaller simply says I have the latest version? Cant seem to delete and reinstall although other adobe air apps work so I dont think this is the issue
I have gone through the troubleshooting guide: Troubleshoot AIR installation | Mac OS but still have the issue?
    Any ideas would be great.

I suspect your Mac OS install was an in place upgrade from an earlier version. This is something I would never even consider with a production machine.

  • N70 app installation issues

Hi, i have some issues with my n70. The problem here is that any applications I install into the mmc, although successful, will not appear on the 'My Own' folder, and also won't show up on the 'Manager' program. If I select 'Phone Memory' as the location, it will be installed and will show up on My Own and Manager and works fine.
All I remember was before it acted like this, I was sleeping on my lunchbreak and set it to vibrate after an hour. When I woke up, I noticed the theme reverted back to the plain nokia. I reapplied the custom theme but it returned a "Corrupted" theme error. All my applications thats installed on the mmc stopped working. I also noticed other issues like when I transferred 6 applications on the mmc to reinstall my lost apps.
I installed the x-plore, checked my owns folder and its not there, I went back to the mmc and out of 6 apps I transferred from my pc, only 2 of them left. The other 4 are gone.
Is my MMC dead? is this caused by a virus? I like to think the mmc is just dead but my mind keeps suspecting a virus. The only think I did thats not good was to accept a BT file transfer from an unknown person but after it was downloaded, I deleted it immediately

I have a similar issue where according to iTunes, all of my apps have been installed and the phone sees that they have taken up about 800 MB of memory, yet there is not one app visible on the springboard, it's as if they are hidden. I can't relate to have some show and some not, I just have an empty springboard with all of the default apps on it.

  • Lightroom 4.2 Installation Issue

Leaving this around in case anyone else has the same problem -- Solution found -- Windows installer issues / registry issues -- used the Microsoft Fix it tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651#reso3) to correct.  4.2 install ran fine.
I've read through the posts in the Lightroom forum regarding  LR 4.2 install issues. I will list here the things I've done to try to get the install to work:
    1) Downloaded the installation software twice.
    2) Ran the setup program in admin user mode.
    3) Ran the install in admin user mode.
    4) Get the following error in a Windows Installer window:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi' in the box below.
    Use source:
    c:\Users\RMJF\AppData\Local\Temp\{...}
What I have found (after displaying hidden AppData folder):
The location where the .msi file resides is different from the one defaulting in the above window.
I select this alternate path, but still cannot complete the installation.
Furthermore, when I cancel the install, I get this error:
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2 64-bit Installer Info
Error 1714. The older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightoom 4.2 64-bit cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group
I have been running LR since the beginning of time and most recently LR 4.1, so there is no 4.2 installed.
Also, I tried to fix the install of 4.1 via the programs in Control Panel. I cannot repair it and get this error:
The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
All versions (except the 1.0 version) were downloaded and installed from the Adobe LR site.
    So, looking for suggestions.
Seems like there are some missing files from the 4.1 version that are hindering the install of 4.2???
All quite frustrating.  Hope you can get me to a speedy solution.
(System info:  Windows Vista 64-bit Home, SP 2, 20 GB of disk space to spare!  Also, I have set the install program to be allowed by the anti-virus program. I have run a registry clean-up, as well.  No other apps are running during the install.)

  • Windows Server 2008 (TS) and Lync Web App installation failure

    Hey folks,
I've run into a little big problem due the Lync Web App installation via mstsc on a stand alone Terminal Server 2008 SP2 64 Bit. When I tried to install the Lync Web App Plugin via
mstsc and standard user I get the message:
    "The system administrator has
set up a policy that the installation
    prevents"
    Till that it's just fine.
The next thing I did is to disable the UAC and DEP, but same problem as above. I also tried to extract the install EXE for the MSI packages to allow the installation. But did not work.
After I searched the internet for an answer relating to this problem I've had to create or change a RegEdit entry. So I switched to the registry to:
    HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
and created a DWORD entry DisableMSI and set it to 0. Then I tried the installation of Lync Web App Plugin via
mstsc and standard user again and this message appeared:
"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755"
Now the curious thing is, that when I am logged on locally, the standard user is able to install the Lync Web App Plugin. And it works fine. After the installation is complete I can switch to mstsc again and it works.
The only thing what doesn't work is to install Lync Web App Plugin via mstsc into the user profile.
    Any suggestions?

Before you install the application, change your user mode to installation mode.
You can run the following command with Prompt Command:
    Change user /install
After the application is installed, change back to execution mode, you can do so by running the following command:
    Change User /Execute

  • Adobe CS4 Design Center Premium Installation issues on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (RTM)

I am in the process of moving my systems to Windows 7; as part of that I have attempted to install the Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium version that I purchased on August 16th.  Thus far my experience with this has been disappointing.
My previous system (Windows Vista x64 Ultimate) was running Adobe CS 4 Production Premium version without problems.  Upgrading this to Windows 7 worked just fine (so, Win 7 upgrade over Production Premium worked.)  However, for unrelated reasons I decided to reinstall a fresh version of Windows 7. and the Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium version in question.
What I observe is a highly repeatable failure during installation, in which as soon as I get to the phase where it displays "Currently installing LangPack(English) for Device Central" and then dies.  Applications are half installed at that point (I can actually use most of the tools, which is why I keep setting this aside to look at it later.)  This was a clean system and Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium was the first thing I tried to install on the box.
Since that failure, I have tried to install it on a completely different system (my laptop) running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and experienced the same error.  The desktop system is a Dell, the laptop is an HP.
The event log indicates a generic "event ID 1000" error.  The detailed information shows that something returns STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER (0xC000000D) as an exception, which is not handled and the program then dies.

In attempting to find a work-around (since I would like to be able to actually use everything here) I have tried to run the installer in compatibility mode - both XPSP2 and Vista SP2 mode.  Both fail in the same fashion.
At this point I've now installed a post-mortem debugger (WinDBG) and will attempt to capture more information about the specific failure.  I am hoping that someone has seen this issue previously and has found a successful work-around.  I see that others have installed the Master Suite version successfully and I suppose that is one potential solution to the problem that I may explore if i cannot get this package to work properly.

Additional information that I have collected (the wonders of a post-mortem debugger):

Thus, this appears to be related to WoW64 behavior in some fashion.  I am unfamiliar with NtWaitForWorkViaWorkerFactory, so I'm not sure why it would be returning STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER.
So, I've collected a mini-dump for the process, but it's 300MB.  In the unlikely event someone is interested in analyzing it, let me know and I'll gladly provide it.
I'm now wondering if I should re-wipe this drive, install Vista, Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium and then upgrade to Windows 7.  But that is a lot of effort to work around an app compat issue.

  • APP STORE (APPS INSTALLATION PROBLEM IN IPHONE 5s)

I am using iphone 5s 16 gb, i have been facing the issue in app store, every other app I try to install free on my iphone 5s, I get the "App could not be purchased at this time" box. After that the app store shows a the circling progress indicator rotating indefinitely below the app, and I can't click to try to install again.
Later when i close the app and again start the app, i find the cloud symbol next to that particular app,
This has been happening since the release of iOS7 more than a month ago.
It's unlikely to be a network problem since it happened on various locations. The fact that the app installs the apps but there are issues while installing,
Please clear this issue of mine.???
    Thanks,
    MOHIT

After updated apps, apps would  disappear on iOS 6 but not iOS 7 apps will not disappear as long lists of apps where are completed and won't disappears.. I read article and explained how to get rid of the updated apps that it said:
"This is by design now due to the Automatic Updates Feature.  The only way I have found to clear them is to go into Setting> General> Date & Time and turn off the automatic setting, set your month to several days/month in the future..
Then go back to the App Store and the updates should clear, Then go back to your Date & Time setting and change it back to automatic" by KalebsDad78.
I did try this but still there and won't clear..  I can't figure it out how to get rid..

Please note that this is NOT a question about fixing this one installation. This is an SQL Server Express install as part of my application install and MUST WORK FIRST TIME, EVERY TIME. Please direct me.
    Paul T.

Here are the parameters used with the SQL Server Express installer EXE (both x86 and x64):
    /q /hideconsole /action=Install /features=SQL /instancename=SQLEXPRESS /enableranu=1 /sqlsvcaccount="NT Authority\Network Service" /AddCurrentUserAsSqlAdmin /skiprules=RebootRequiredCheck /IAcceptSQLServerLicenseTerms
I presume that TCP/IP is not enabled by default for Express installs. I THINK that named pipe should be enabled.

  • Photoshop CC Installation issues

I am having problems installing Photoshop CC (Trial Version), it appears to successfully download but then fails installing an update - I get a U46M1P6 error on the update installation.
Even though the installation appears to install successfully, whenever I try and open it I get an error message.  I have run the Adobe Support Advisor software and no issues have been found.
    System details:
    Error shown on Creative Cloud:
Error shown when trying to launch PhotoShop
    Report from Adobe Support Advisor:
    Any advice gratefully received!

Thank you for your comment, however could you expand on "does not meet requirements"
In what way does my system not meet them?
