Software Distribution - Problem with 1921 Routers

Hello everybody,
we are having some weird troubles in our Cisco LMS 4.2
A Software Distribution works fine for all kinds of our Routers, except the 1921 models. We are using SCP and SSH for the Image distribution and the exactly same configuration on a 1841 and a 1921 works on the 1841 Router but on the 1921 not.
I didn't found any Bugs related to this, maybe it's a problem with the lms settings?
Done so far:
- Deleted the device in LMS, added it via discovery and manually, no change here
- Tried with different IOS versions, no change here, no one will work
- Set the credentials after adding the device again, to make sure they are valid
When creating a new distribution job, we get this error at Step 3 of 5 only at the 1921 Router, so I guess this might be the problem:
Warning
- SWIM1056: The method to update the software on the selected storage device is unknown.
Select a different Flash partition, if available.
I attached a SWIM_debug logfile from a failed job. (changed all the DNS names do XXXDNSNAMEXXX).

More than USB it could be SCP. There is a know bug for SCP on 19xx router :
CSCuc98074 LMS 4.2.2 Software Image Distribution fails with SCP on 1921 routers
Just try to change SCP to other protocol and see it that works. Make sure you have all device packages updated for LMS.

Software distribution problem with RME 4.2 regarding flash size

Hello I'm updating the software on about 200 3750 stacks. During the verification process I'm used to get a warning with the messages swim1132,1201 and 1106. But jobs run then successfully.
But sometimes the verification step fails with the SWIM1200 error. That is a litte strange because all the switches have the same flash size of 15998976 bytes.
The error messages are in the attachment.
I woult be very happy, if somebody can give me an advice.

This is CSCsu49349. The bug is fixed in RME 4.3. The workaround is to go to RME > Software Mgmt > Software Repository, then click on the name of the image. Reduce its required flash size down one setting (i.e. make the requirement 8 MB). This will allow the image to deploy properly.

one I have connected the DSL line with a modem in the first WAN router
which has IP: 192.168.100.1 and connect from Tin's LAN 192.168.100.1 in
the second router to the WAN, which has different numbering IP:
192.168.1.1 because it remained in another house with another network

2 their own IP in all the PC I have not bidirectional LAN
I have a LAN only from the second router to the first
How do I get interactive and on 2 sides LAN?

Reconfigure the second router as simple access point.
On the second router, open the web interface. On the main Setup page
1. set internet connection type to DHCP (if it is static ip at the moment)
2. change LAN IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.100.2.
3. disable dhcp server
Now save settings. You'll lose the connection.
Now wire one of the numbered LAN ports of the second router to the first router. Do not use the internet port of the second router!
Now you have created a single LAN. All computers can connect to each other.

Software Installation Problems with Media Source and Nomad Explo

Hello Creative Users,
recently I had to reinstall my operating system on the PC. I have an IBM Thinkpad R30 with a Sitecom USB2.0 pccard. I am running WinXP Pro SP2 with all latest updates.
I have a Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra with Firmware .20.08 and an update harddri've of 80GB.
As long as I was running the software on my previous installation everything worked fine.
I installed the driver .26.02. This recognized the Jukebox. Musicmatch is able to communicate to the Jukebox and recognizes all files on it.
When I installed Nomad Explorer I got an error ctregserv failed because ctin...dll is not found.
When I tried to install Media Source from the original disk it showed an error after 30% Media Source not found. Install Media Source before continuing.
This is what I received now with all verisons of Media Source and Noamd Explorer incl. .30.0.
Can someone help me as synchronizing with Musicmatch is a pain.

Hi everyone,
as I saw many questions regarding installation problems with Mediasource or Nomad Explorer
in this forum I will answer my own question right here. I was pointed to the answer by a friend with a similar problem on some other software.
When trying to install the Creative software under WinXP SP2 I happens that the registration does not work. the reason are missing write attributes to the keys for
Creative software. To correct that go to: Start, Run and enter regedit. Hit ok and you are in the registration editor.
Find the Creative location unde HKEYS_SOFTWARE. Click right mouse button and choose
properties.
Check full access for your user as well the system user. click on advanced and mark both all the users you want to install from. Check the lower box below the user window sayin something about roghts being propagetd to lower folders etc. Cklick conform and ok, click confirm on previous screen and close regedit.
Now you should be ok and able to install.

CISCO PRIME LMS 4.1 ---- Software distribution fails with SWIM1113

Device will be rebooted.
SWIM1113: Device Reboot operation failed or Reboot Verification failed.
The device is not running the new image after it is rebooted.
Verify the configuration used to load the new image. Verify whether the new image exists on the device in a valid Flash partition
the software distribution , i select image for upgrade for router 1841 and select reboot immediatly after downloading so my device take new image but can not reload with new image ...
please help me

check if you have this command configured on the device ::snmp-server system-shutdown
if not configured it and it should reload it

Linksys Connect CD/Downloadable Software compatibility problem with Mac OSX 10.4.11

I purchased a Linksys E1200 and I am running Mac OSX 10.4.11. As I have a G4 eMac, I cannot run a higher operating software. The CD that came with the E1200 will not launch the Linksys Connect software, as it is not compatible with Mac OSX 10.4.11. When I download Linksys Connect software from the support section of the Linksys site (version 1 or 2), same problem. I have read that I can use the E1200 with Mac OSX 10.4.11, but how? Getting very frustrated and would appreciate any practical advice/help. Thanks!

You may actually do the setup manually. It's done by accessing the setup page of the route through 192.168.1.1 and configuring the settings according to your Internet connection type. Software distribution error with LMS 3.2 regarding flash/memory size

Hello,
I'm accustomed to LMS raising warnings about memory size not being enough when in fact there is enough space (eg : there is 256mb, IOS requires 256mb, but LMS calculates 255.234mb, and says there is not enough memory). I've encoutered that situation many times with LMS 3.1 and just learned to ignore it.
But since I've upgraded to LMS 3.2, we are now getting _errors_ which are preventing us from deploying the IOS, even though there is still enough memory and flash space. I've read in another thread about bug CSCsu49349 but this one should be fixed in LMS 3.2, so I am at lost.
I always download my IOSes from Cisco.com using LMS so that the proper fields are populated.
Here is one sample : I was trying to deploy an IOS to a 2821 router. The IOS weighs 29Mb in reality and I have around 31Mb of free flash, and the whole flash is 64Mb, but I get a catastrophic error. Also note the contradictory warning about the memory size :
Warning - SWIM1065: Minimum RAM requirement of the selected image: 256 MB .
RAM available on the device ( 256 MB) May not be enough to activate the selected image.
Increase the RAM size for the device, select a different image for upgrading, or
specify the RAM size for the image by editing the attributes of the image stored in the software repository.
Warning - SWIM1070: Feature subset of the Active image could not be determined.
Catastrophic - SWIM1200:Selected Flash partition requires minimum (64 MB) to upgrade selected software/image.
Select a different Flash partition for upgrading the image.
Do I need to modify the flash requirement on the image to get around this, or is there a patch available for LMS 3.2 ?

Desktop software and problem with password

Hi
My apologizes for my english but it is not my language.
I have a blackberry curve 9300 since 2 years.
I used to work with the blackberry software for mac.
Since some weeks, I have trouble with this program.
The program invite me to enter my password. Normally, I write my password and it works. But, now, I have a second window which ask me a password too. But my password does not work. This window appear constantly and I can not work on my others programs. To use other program I have to disconnect my device and to force out the second program.
In attachment, you will see the window. (I can not insert an image)
How can I stop this program?
I already uninstalled the software but the problem remain.
Can you help me?????

Problems with certain routers

I've had my Macbook for nearly 2 years now, but there is one problem that i still haven't been able to solve (or perhaps i am too stupid to) but when trying to connect to certain wireless routers, i get the option to connect to the network when i click on the airport tab, but when i type in the password it keeps telling me to try again. Its only with certain networks, e.g. certain friends houses and my parents, but my iPod touch connects perfectly fine. Any answers?

It would be helpful to know what kind of encryption the router is using. If it is WEP try using the whole hex key as opposed to the shorter passkey. I never have luck using the passkey option. I don't know if this is your problem or not but I figured I might as well suggest it. Good luck

C7250 Software UInstall problem with blocksysuserinstall.exe

I changed by ISP so I have a new router now and had to reconfigure my C7250 to a different WiFi address. After doing this, the HP software said it wasn't properly installed. So I downloaded the complete package and tried many time to install but I keep getting the error that it can't find:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\temp\7zS2F16\setup....setup\blocksysuserinst...
I have Windows 7, 32 bit, C7250 Photosmart printer.
I have tried many things to get this to work, including:
Ran Windows Update to make sure I am current
Removing everything on the PC that starts with HP* or Hew*
Deleting all my temp files with ccleaner
Removing HP and Hew references in the registry with ccleaner
Extracted the install images to an external USB drive & run setup from there
Ran the Uninstall_L4
Copied the blocksysuserinstall.exe from the install image to C:\
If I just do the normal Add a printer with Win7, I can add it and print, but I would also like to be able to scan again. I need the software installed to do that.
I see there are others with the issue but the posted resolutions don;t seem to be solving my problem.

Well, I noticed that when I was running as Administrator, it was still failing to find the file. But I noticed that it was looking for it in C:\Users\Allen\AppData\Local\temp\7zS2F16\setup and not C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\temp\7zS2F16\setup. So I cleaned everything up again, restarted, logged on as Allen, downloaded a fresh copy and then when it failed, I was able to rename the folder in temp to 7zS2F16 and then I was able to successfully install the software!!!!!

Software & Driver problem with MS8826

I have an MS8826 (Geforce 2 MX400) installed in my machine (Motherboard K7S5a, Processor 1GHz Athlon, 256 Mb DDR ram)
I have installed the latest Nvidia drivers (29.) All works OK except DVD playback (using WinDVD) which frezes after a couple of seconds.
I am not using MSI DVD as I don't have the original drivers & software.
Can anyone tell me a way around this problem? I could install eariler drivers, but none of the eariler drivers kept the color correction i has set-up after a restart.
Also can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of MSI DVD and 3D Turbo that work with this card. I cna't get an answer from MSI support!

Which OS you are running. There are versions of WinDVD that do not work with WinXP.
Also do you have an antivirus program running? That can cause the freezing of frames over the playback of a movie.

GOA distribution problem with message type COND_A

you need to implement Badi BBP_CTR to map the conditions used in SRM with the ones in R/3. Within the Badi there is an example for mapping. Also there are some threads here explaining the mapping. Have alook at Note 646903 - Global outline agreement: Tips and tricks explaining in detail how to implement these BADI's.

Software startup problem with libelf.so.1

Hi, guys
I have tried to run a software from archlinux, but it warned that the program cannot load libelf.so.1. I have found the libelf.so libelf.so.0 and libelf-0.8.10.so in /usr/lib, so i created a link libelf.so.1 to libelf-0.8.10.so. Now the software can start and work, but it still showed the following waring message: "/usr/lib/libelf.so.1: no version information available".
i have noticed that the libelf maintanence is out of date, can anyone explain the warning message and show me some better solution for this problem? thanks

SOftware installation problems with x-fi xtreme music - he

I just installed the card into my computer.
Of course I wanted to install the latest drivers so I went to creative support and chose everything properly. I downloaded "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series Driver 2.07.0004"
When I clicked on the downloada exe file I got message "error code 5002" and it wouldn`t install. Then i went to crati've site once again and looked for that error code - they don`t have anything on that!
Then I manually unpacked exe and started setup.exe - it worked this time. And now I got some "creative audio console". When I click on it I get apparently some cripeled version of software, since there is no equlizer controles and where is that fancy THX setup huh?

-Why do i have some cripeled sound controls with half the features missing anyway. I tried to figure out the drivers version on that sites and it was "Creative 5.2.5.4"; why was then I offered the "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series Driver 2.07.0004" as the latest drivers on creative support site?
I tried to run some aditional setups in unpacked drivers from the creative; namely the setup.exe in "AUDCON" folder, but then I get the error code 6003.

Boy I'm sure glad I found this thread as I to just received and installed my new X-fi card, then went to Creatives drivers section online and got the drivers (They scanned my puter and said you need this one > critical) and once done I'm looking for my "Cool Blue" tools as I to got that error message on the first CD install but finally got the drop down menu deal from the top of my monitor screen.. I took you guys advise about putting the CD back in again and it was NOTHING like the first time I installed it..Cool graphics and sounds came blasting through my Bose..Sweet.. It was like a totally different set-up from the first and now my new drop down menu has all kinds of cool stuff on it and I now also have an Icon on my desktop.. Thanks to the guy who was peed off and posted or I never would have found my answer from you others. :smileyvery-happy: Winamp sounds GREAT now on the jazz stations..

Need help with WRT54G - no software and problems with internent

I'm sure I'm asking a common problem which has been answered already, but I couldn't find any solutions and I'm running out of time (re: getting frustrated as hell). I'm trying to set up a wireless network at my home. The internet/desktop/cable modem work fine. However, when I try to run the connection through the router, the connection fails. The appropriate lights on the router all light up, however. Is there something on the pc I need to do/change? Also, the disk drives on the pc don't work, so I can't load the setup software. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

What is the Version no. of your Router ? You can see it when you flip the router..
