Software download error on LG Spectrum

Is anyone else getting a software download error when they try to check for updates. Obviously my LG Spectrum has never notified me of the Android 4.0 (ICS) update because of the error. I spoke with a Verizon rep today and they said this has been a common problem and it's a problem with the actual software. They now need to fix that and re-push it so the folks that have not got the update because of error can finally get it! She had no idea when that would be. This is getting ridiculous! Does anyone know of this software problem and if they are actually trying to solve the problem?

My Lucid did this for about 2 weeks right before we got ICS. Within a day of the issue going away we got ICS. So you should see this as a good sign.

  • Software downloading error msg

    When I first got my 8330 Curve several weeks ago, I was able to download third party software with the desktop manager. Now however, I keep getting this error message: "No additional applications designed for your handheld were found." 
    Help screens say this could mean the desktop manager software needs updating, but it's new and I seem to have the latest version. Any ideas?

    Why since upgrading to mavericks osx 10.9.2 cant I upload any updates on software? Such as for my printer , or java etc, I keep getting a message saying  " I have a network problem". What problem? Auto updates kicks in, when I start the upload, the above error message kick in. Help please, mavericks is a nightmare,  this  very frustrating.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
    Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
    When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
    Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

    I have the first generation ipod touch. I do not have the January software upgrade. I just purchased the latest software upgrade $9.99. My payment was accepted but the software won't download. I get a message that says I don't have enough access privileges. The agent I spoke to at Apple told me it was because the network is overloaded with traffic and I should keep trying, but it's been 2 days so I question his advice. Any ideas?

    Ok I've got a fix it not the best option but it worked for me...
    You've got to fully delete iTunes from your mac and reinstall it, these are the steps I used:
    1. Backup your system
    2. Exit iTunes if you have it open.
    3. Under YOURUSERNAME/Library move (to temp dir or area) or rename your iTunes directory.
    4. Under YOURUSERNAME/Music move or rename your iTunes directory.
    5. Under YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences move or rename the following files
    - com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist
    - com.apple.iTunes.plist
    - com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist
    6. Delete iTunes (Move application to Trash)
    7. Restart your Mac.
    8. Install iTunes 7.7 (Download from apple.com if needed)
    9. Download 2.0 update (It should work now!!!)
    10. Update your iPod Touch
    11. (I'm working on this now) Start adding back your Preferences and Music
    This is heavy handed but it worked for me.

    Any Ideas of how to solve this one?

    After reading all these posts, one by one did not resolve my problem until I got the very end.  Regardless of what step would resolve your problem, these are the steps I would recomment to everyone for a what seems to be a safe and fool-proof upgrade to iTunes 10.5.
    1. Stand alone upgrade to the latest Quicktime version
    2. Go to control panel and "change" then select repair to the following applications in the order specified by the post on Oct 27. (Notice I skipped Quicktime because it had been upgrade manually,and Bonjour did not have a "repair" option)
    iTunes; Apple Software Update: Mobile Device Support; Apple Applications Support
    Some of these applications may not appear if they do not apply to your configuration (no iPhone, or no iPad, or other apple devices).
    Once all updated, I did not need to restart nor launch any applications, I simply went straight into the 10.5 upgrade, and where it normally got stuck, this time the installation continued for a while longer until it completed successfully.

    If I can get them to download them on my iMac computer, can I then transfer them to my iPad?  How is this done?  (Please pardon an older lady's ignorance, and thank you for any assistance!)

    PPC, also known as PowerPC has not existed on Macs since the beginning of 2006.  Apple made a bridge software and included it with Mac OSes until 10.6.8 known as Rosetta that would allow you to run software written for the PowerPC Macs.  10.7 and later can't run that bridge software.  You have one of several options:
    Install 10.6 retail on a USB Flash drive, and run that application while booted from there.
    Find an update designed for 10.7 or later of the software. 
    Find a combination of Virtualbox or Paralllels that can legally run a version of 10.6 side by side with your 10.7 software.
    Run Windows on your Mac with Virtualbox or use CrossOver that requires no Windows to run a Windows version of your application.
    Your Mac is an iMac Intel.   I will ask a moderator redirect your thread to the 10.7 forum, and no action is needed on your part.

I have had creative cloud for 4 months now through my company a1comms but recently our macs have been restricted for security reasons and since then I have not been able to update the software for my mac. I have uninstalled and reinstalled creative cloud desktop thinking this will help. It still comes up with the download error?
    Can anyone help, as my colleague has updated her software and I am unable to work from her saved files.

  • Download error, while downloading 3rd party software

    Hello all, I'm a newbie to SCCM2012 R2. When I attempt to do a software download for Mozilla, Java etc... i'm getting this error below. I can download MS updates fine, but 3rd party updates. We are using Secunia to publish 3rd part updates to WSUS,
    which works fine. Then I sync SCCM with WSUS and SCCM finds the published 3rd party software, but I can't download it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
