Software download issue

I downloaded a file which contains a program that I need to use for work. I extracted the file from a zip file and I have the FGBAssistant.exe file on my desktop. Whenever I try to run the FGBAssistant.exe file by either double clicking on the .exe
icon or or whenever I right click on the file and attempt to run the file as an administrator I get the following message:" FGBAssistant.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and
notify you if a solution is available". Any ideas what this may be happening? I have 2 other programs from this company to download and I get the same error message when I try to download those too.
I am running 32 bit Vista Home Premium Service pack 2 is there any fix for this. I really have no interest to upgrade to windows 7 at this time. I would like to fix this problem. Any help or direction you could give me would be appreciated. I really don't
know too much about computers but I do follow directions well.

Eco mode changed? and software download issue

I have always used my YV box in high Eco mode and it normally takes a number of minutes to start up - going through a Humax screen then onto a You view screen before the picture appears.
Since yesterday I have noticed that the start up time is significantly reduced with no Humax screen appearing, the box going straight to the YouView screen and the picture appearing within probably 10 -15 seconds. I have checked on settings and the box states that it is still set to High Eco mode, is this due to a deliberate change in the Eco mode function or is it in fact ignoring the High Eco setting and is the box therefore actually noe running low eco mode?
Also, I routinely run a software update once a day to pick up any changes, again starting from yesterday, when I try to do this I get a message saying 'An error occured while trying to update your software - Downloading failed ' this is accompanied by a warning triangle symbol containing an exclamation mark.
Anyone else seen these happen?
My software is :- 15.11.0 2.1.4 714 56

E55 software downloading issue

Im having problem updating my E55 software from 21.013 to 22.009.
Nokia Software Updater starts OK, recognizes phone OK, finds updates OK, but the software download wont go further than 9-13MB (total size is over 130MB). After reaching 9-13MB the download starts again 2 times and after that NSU tells me that it has tried 3 times and cannot download the software. I have now tried it maybe 10 times, and restarted PC 3 times and really starting to annoy me.
I have tried both Ovi Suite and Nokia Software Updater, both have the exact same problem. My internet connection is working perfectly.
Cant really figure out why it cant finish..

i had similar problem yesterday, neither NSU nor the Ovi suite was letting me install the new phone firmware. it used to start download and then give a message something like a internal error. Surpursingly I checked today morning, and the update got installed successfully.
This is what i followed.
Removed the memory card.
Backed up all my data using content copier.
Restored the device to original factory settings
Restarted the device and then connected through NSU.
Successfull installation of new firmware.
It seems that there was some problem with the nokia servers, which could not download the update completely. Prior to updaing the new firmware, I disabled the firewall and the antivirus. This seems to have worked out for me.

Oracle 8i (32 bit) software download issue

I downloaded the Oracle 8i (8.1.7 32 bit) from the link below :

But I see the downloaded file size differs from what is stated on the web site and also when I tried to uncompress that file using gunzip I get an error.
Below are files I am trying to download :
Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 3 (8.1.7) for AIX aix64_db_817_32_Disk1.cpio.gz (489,423,874 bytes)
aix64_db_817_32_Disk2.cpio.gz (327,203,827 bytes)

the error u got should be "the archive is not a valid one" or something like that => re-download

unable to install software bundle for my new tablet as Photoshop Elements (and other the other software) tries to open with ArchiCad for some unknown reason - very frustrating. I cannot find the correct program to open it, then install. have license keys but no idea how to employ them.

The original modem and the replacement modem both came from Telstra, which is the biggest and once the only telecommunications company in Australia, it is made by ZTE, part number MF626s.
I didn't feel the need to take the laptop to a telstra shop as it worked trouble free for 3 months prior to this issue.
It also worked trouble free on a older Toshiba laptop I own that this C665 replaced.
In regards to the router (D-Link DIR-412 Wireless N 150 3G Mobile Broadband Router)
secured connection or unsecured connection, wireless or Ethernet cable i have the issue.
In the last hour I have been into a cafe with free wifi that I have used before and the connection lasted around 20 seconds, I reconnected 4 or 5 times with the same result.
I think now I definatly rule out my isp and their software

Thank you so much! It's updating now. I'm hoping that once the update is finished that it will sync like normal as well. Of course I'm still a bit confused/concerned about how it refused to update on it's own, but for now that's not a problem. Hopefully from now on there won't be any more problems.

How can I overcome downloading issues to start using software?

I have an Apple Mac using MountainLion and downloaded Adobe Photoshop elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10. I have tried downloading using both methods suggested. I seem to have the software downloaded, but can't use it. The first method suggested was to download Akamai NetSession, which I did. However, this piece of software always gets stuck when it gets to the Destination Select as the "Continue" button always remains greyed out (as below). The second method involved downloading two pieces of software, the file itself and another, PhotoshopElements_10_LS15.exe, but when I try to open either I get the following error messages (see below). Any suggestions about how I can actually start using this expensive software?
This is really unimpressive, and it has been over 24 hours of trying without success that is making this a very frustrating experience

Software download error on LG Spectrum

Is anyone else getting a software download error when they try to check for updates. Obviously my LG Spectrum has never notified me of the Android 4.0 (ICS) update because of the error. I spoke with a Verizon rep today and they said this has been a common problem and it's a problem with the actual software. They now need to fix that and re-push it so the folks that have not got the update because of error can finally get it! She had no idea when that would be. This is getting ridiculous! Does anyone know of this software problem and if they are actually trying to solve the problem?

My Lucid did this for about 2 weeks right before we got ICS. Within a day of the issue going away we got ICS. So you should see this as a good sign.

Downgrading of any version of iOS isn't supported by Apple. If you search the web, you'll find instructions that may work, but you're on your own should any problems arise. For many people it goes without problems, but for some it's reportedly bricked their devices.
If you haven't done so already, try restoring your iPhone as a new device, not from a backup, and run just with the included apps for a bit and see how it performs. Cache corruption or incompatible software can cause performance and stability issues. No guarantees, but it's worth a try to at least try to identify what's causing the problems, iOS 6 itself or something you have loaded.

Software Download Manager on a 64bit Linux?

I recently tried to install the linux software download manager. I am running a 64bit RHEL 6.6 system. After setting up the appropriate path I ran into the error of :
./install.bin
Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported
The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -i command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI modes identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent.
I tried running (-i Console ),(-i GUI) , and (-i Silent) . I still got the same errors. My google search of the error points to maybe needing to install 32 bit libs. I am wondering if it is possible to install the download manager (SAP_Download_Manager_1.0) on a 64 bit linux box. Please let men know if I barked up the wrong tree. (sorry for the funky formatting)

I have now tried to use both a 32bit and 64bit jvm and I am getting the same issues.

Yosemite download fails evertime at 850 MB after successful start I get a "calculating" messsage then error code. Other software downloads fine

Attempting to download Yosemite from the App store leads to a consistent failure at the 850 MB stage of the 5.6GB download. Starts fine on Updates but then fails after 850 MB and flags up "calculating" followed by an "error" message. Other non-Apple software downloads without any problem. Can anyone through any light on this? I thought using the App store was meant to be a straightforward, oh for a plastic OSX CD in a box.

Without going into a huge disertation, on this let me just say you are not the first and won't be the last that has had issues with the Matshita 816.
I did find a work around, that I will explain.
If you do a lot of burning your drive stores everything in cache files and then all of a sudden will start giving you an error message.
I found running 3 different utilitys, I run them 1 time a week need to or not and haven't got any errors since.

These all three do similar thihgs but some do different things.
Now lets talk media.
I have had the same problems everyone else has had burning 1X and 2X with some of the poor media out there.
After doing a little leg work and trying a ton of different media I have found that Maxell 16X DVD-R will burn at 1X through 16X and works very well.
Be sure to read the packaging and it will tell you this. I opt to use the 3 packs with the individual Jewel cases.(Much Better Quality).

So You try those 3 free and shareware programs and go spend 4 dollars on the Maxell discs and see if that doesn't solve your problem. I sure did mine.

Blackberry Software Downloads

Hey, I have a question or two about the software downloads. Whenever I download the media sync, or the desktop manager, or even loading up the app world program for the computer, it downloads the installation program, but when I run every one of them, they error saying the source has been moved, or the page keeps refreshing for the app program, and not moving onto the plug-in-your-phone state. Does anyone know why this is happening to me? Is there a program on my computer that would block the progress of downloading Blackberry products?
This is my first blackberry, and I have had an iphone beforehand, but iTunes doesn't recognize my new phone.
I'm kind of running out of patience already, lol. Help. (=!

In the sync settings in Desktop Manager there should be a setting for changing the time/timezone on the device when connected. Turn that off.

MPEG2 component Download issues?

I downloaded the quicktime component via the apple store this weekend the files was corrupt. Now when I try and download the file from the store under the Software download history section. I get a file called QuickTimeMPEG2.dmg when I try and launch or mount his file I get the following error:
"The following disk images failed to mount."
When I open the file downloaded from the apple store in text edit, it reads like this:
"Your attempt to download your Apple software has failed. Please try again via Your Account area in the Apple Store.
Guess where I downloaded the file from? The Apple store in my account area????
I have received absolutely the worst response ever from apple of go to the quicktime support pages which have nothing on this issue. I have tried downloading the file on three different machines two different connections and even tried on a dreaded PC all with the same exact result?

After a week of trying to download from the "Store" and getting the runaround from the techs, for some unknown reason, I was able to download this tonight. I, too, had asked for a refund. Only one problem, though. It plays my video beautifully--with NO SOUND!!!!! Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need a certain codec that I don't have?
During the week in which I couldn't download this, I downloaded the FREE vlc player, and it works beautifully. In other words, I probably never needed the $19.99 piece of junk. I have asked for a refund, unless I can get both video AND sound.
I have QT Pro 7.0.2 and am running Tiger.
