Software installation for 7d

I misplaced my software from the 7D install that would allow DPP, etc. Does anyone know the links for the different imaging software.

Hello BobG,
When the EOS Solutions Disk is not available or misplaced for current model cameras, the full suite of the Canon software is available from our Download site, it only requires your camera's serial number.
As another user stated, regarding updates available  - this is true as well, with the exception that they would require base versions installed prior.  These are used to patch or update installed versions to bring them current.
However, downloading the EOS Digital Solutions Disk 28.2A provides a zip file with full versions of EOS Utility, Digital Photo Professional and Picture Style editor.  These full versions do not require a disk or previously installed versions.  Those without a CD or optical drive can download this as full resolution to this issue.
Download EOS Digital Solutions Disk 28.2A here.  If the drop down boxes do not automatically populate. check and input your Operating System and environment to access the downloads.  The EOS Digital Solutions Disk 28.2A can be found under the Software sub-heading.

You are right this notebook model was delivered without OS.
Win7 64bit is supported for this notebook model and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities are available on Toshiba download page.
What I can say is that all this stuff must be installed in right install order. I know it sounds stupid now but I recommend you to make clean OS again and continue installation following this installation order:

  • Software Installation for Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook

5Software Installation for Sound Blaster X-Fi Notebook[ Hello, I have searched through the sound blaster forum for an answer to my question, but have been unable to find it.
I recently recieved a sound blaster x-fi notebook. When I inserted the unit into my computer, the drivers installed just fine and I am able to use it, however, when I try to install the software bundled with the product on disk, something goes wrong. To be honest, I have no idea what it is. The problem seems to be with the install wizard itself on the disk provided me, because the install progress gets to about 20% and freezes while installing the Creative Console Launcher. I'm not sure if I just need a new CD, or if it is a problem with the software itself and nothing can be done.
If anybody can provide some insight as to what the problem is or how I can fix it, I would be very appreciati've.

    Hi,
Glad that it work for you. I think someone is asking for feedback in that driver download thread. Maybe you can post your feedback there on how is it for your x-Fi Notebook with the new driver set. I believe there are others who would be like you and would certainly love to hear any good news. Everyone has always been posting on what's bad and what's not working, but i think we should also post to tell what's good and what's working.

  • Software Installs for Zones - Best Practices

I haven't found anything in the documentation on this subject yet. I'm wondering what the best way is to install software for non global zones. Let's take a simple setup say a webserver and a database and I want them in separate non global zones. I would like to use sparse root zones and have my software in /usr/local. The problem is that if I add the software in the global zone /usr/local, the Web server zone has access to my DB install in /usr/local. I know i will be putting the data else where but I would rather not have that binary accessible. Is that possible? These are not package installs. They are binary distributions. Glassfish and Postgres.
If anyone has any answers or input it would be much appreciated.

We are using zones as part of a whole security solution. I don't see installing whole root zones as a solution. I may as well create another Solaris 10 server in that case since we are in a VM cluster anyways.
I was able to find some documentation on this subject and there is a more sensible solution to this that makes more sense and applies to using sparse root zones.
Let's say you want to have each child zone have its own writable /usr/local directory. First create the /usr/local directory within the global zone. Next add a file system to the zone configuration. Let say your zones are in /zones. You have zone1 and zone2. So create the /zones/zone1/local directory with 700 permissions. In the zone config you set the fs special to that directory and the dir to /usr/local. Give it rw,nodevices for options. Now zone1 has its own writable /usr/local that zone2 cannot access.

  • Software Installation for Windows 2003 Ser

    Hello,
My OS is the Windows 2003 server Edition. I am having trouble installing the Software that accompanies Creative Nano MP3 Player (DAP-FL0009). Could anyone tell me if the OS is supported. If not, is there any work around for the same. Am trying to avoid a dual boot.
    Thanks in advance,
    Narmatha

Hi, although I do not have a Nano, I can confirm the installation trouble with my Zen V on Win2k3!The installer always hung. And no, it was not just a matter of waiting long enough. You must have installed Service Pack for the installer to work. Obviously the Creative guys only tested the installer on SP. I have no problems with that; so everyone will have to use a genuine version, no pirated one! (Remember: installing Win2K3 with a leaked CD key will leave you unable to install SP!)

I will probably be getting a couple of Mac Pros and was wondering if anyone has run into problems with installing and/or running Office 2004 or any Adobe products pre CS3.
    Thanks for any info

I have three different Intel iMacs with Office 2004 and have not had any issues with it. Of course, I have not tried every little feature and function possible with all of the Office apps but with Word and Excel and the one Mac that I use Entourage on, I have had no problems.

    Jen,
Here's what I did to get Lion installed:
Burn the installer to a DVD and install from there. It worked for me. Here's what you need to do:
First you need another computer running at least 10.6.8.
    1. On the other computer go to 'App Store' (make sure you're logged in to the App Store with the AppleID you used on the troubled computer)
    2. Click on 'Purchased' in the 'App Store' window's toolbar
    3. If you are on 10.6.8, and haven't downloaded Lion on that computer just click "Install" to download the installation application.
    3. a, if the other computer is already running Lion, you'll need to re-download the installer.
    3. b. Hold down 'Option' when selecting 'Purchased' then you click "Install"
    4. When the Lion Installer starts up, just quit it. You want to work with the Installer application.
    5. Find the "Install Lion OS X" application in the 'Applications' folder.
    6. Hold down 'Control' and click on the application and select 'Show Package Contents'
    7. Find 'InstallESD.dmg' which is in the "Shared Support" folder and copy it to your desktop.
    8. Burn 'InstallESD.dmg' to a DVD ('Disk Utility' is simplest to do this).
    9. Put the new install DVD into the computer that has Lion partially installed and reboot holding down the "C" key.
    10. run the installer as normal, selecting your harddrive as the target.
In my case, when it rebooted to the harddisk the Lion installer started AGAIN. If this happens, let it run. Then you should be done.
    Hope this helps.

We are seeing an increase in IE 11 being installed in our environment, and sadly I'm not seeing anything other than two critical updates for IE 11, and only for Windows 8.1 x64 machines. You should be able to install Mac OS X 10.7 or later on your 2011 MacBook Pro without issue, if it came with 10.6.3 as your signature suggests.  Mind you, any 2011 MacBook Pro must use the original 10.6 installer disc labelled MacBook Pro if it desires to have 10.6 installed on it.   The retail installer disc will not work on that model, nor will one from another age MacBook Pro, or other model labelled installer.  Also
10.7 came both on USB Flash drive and Mac App Store installer versions.   Both required either 10.6.6 minimum be pre-installed, or no Mac OS X operating system on the drive or partition it was to be installed on.
10.7.1 through 10.7.5 combo could be installed only once 10.7 had been installed.  A combo update is available for installing on top of any version of 10.7.  Otherwise only the preceding version could be updated to the next.
10.8 came only on Mac App Store installer.  It is available only to 10.6.8 and later users.
10.8.1 to 10.8.5 combo could be installed only once 10.8 had been installed.  A combo update is available for installing on top of any version of 10.8.  Otherwise only the preceding version could be updated to the next.
10.9 came only on Mac App Store installer. It is available only to 10.6.8 and later users.
Both 10.9 and 10.9.1 had a serious security vulnerability, which only 10.9.2 addressed.
10.9.2 combo could be installed only once 10.9 had been installed.
For all three Mac App Store releases, the partition to be installed on had to be GUID partition formatted according to Apple Disk Utility.

  • Delgate or give administrative athority to a user for simple client software installation

I have a new Server 2012 R2 machine. It contains a single domain with an Active Directory Domain Services configured. Currently there are 10 users been served by this server: roaming profiles, sharing of a printer, and sharing of some files. The setup is
very simple as you can see.
The client machines connected to the server all run a simple mapping software. From time to time, the software vendor that supplies the mapping software puts out patches and updates. From time to time, a user will want to install a peice of his or her
own software (examples: Google Earth; Yahoo Messanger).
The users are all responsible adults. I don't need to worry about them messing up their machines with malware. But I'm not available to the users all the time. Rignt now, I have to logon to the client machine each time to run the .exe file as myself (the
Administrator) to perform a software installation.
I don't want to give out my Administrator password. Is it possible to create a user (or allow an existing user) of the domain to have the right to install a peice of software on their own but without allowing this user to make other changes to the domain
    or the server?
I appricate you taking the time to read my question. Please let me know if there's anything unclear in my inquiry.

Additionally, it is not at all uncommon to grant users local administrative privileges on their own machines.  This does not involve granting them administrative permissions on the domain - just on their machine.  As Domain Administrator, you would
still have local administrative access to each machine (Domain Admins are automatically added to the local administrators group).
I would suggest that you create a separate account for them on their machines that would be joined to the local administrator's group and that they only use that account when they need to install a patch or some allowed software.  All other work should
be done under their regular, non-privileged account.
