Software installation stoped working for printer CP1215

Hi,
I bought new laptop and I want to connect it with my pinter HP CP1215. I searched for the driver, downloaded driver for MS Windows 8 - both verssions since I'm not sure which one is mine but when I'm installing it it always stopps in the middle of procedure saying that "software installation stopped working". Can you help me please?

I will be happy to help you.
I have provided a URL for accessing the device manager so we can remove the entry for the printer and start over.
Leave the USB cable connected. If the printer is network please let me know.
Open the device manager and look for the printer entry, it might be listed as other devices, unknown device, it might show up under universal serial bus controllers as USB printing support, delete the entry by right clicking it and select uninstall.

Temporarily turn off the Antivirus software.
Reinstall the software again but don't connect the USB cable until prompted.
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

You will have to follow the same steps to enable all again and turn the Antivirus software back on again.

- Windows 7 Prof. 64bit
The following software is installed on my system: Office Prof. Plus 2010 (64bit), SQL Server 2008 R2 (64bit), Visual Studio Ultimate 2010, Sybase Powerdesigner 15.2, Adobe Reader 9 and Kaspersky IS 2011.
Since some days nearly the whole Lenovo Software doesn't work. The only exception is System Update 4.
When I try to start e.g. Lenovo Toolbox I get the error message "ThinkVantage Toolbox doesn't work...". A View into the Windows solution center offers the following message:

The rest of the software mentioned above works great and fast. Only the Lenovo software doesn't work. This is rather annoying, because I can't change e.g. important property values in the power manager.
I've deinstalled and installed (manually) again graphics driver as well as the troubleshooting software without success.
What shell I do now?

You found me! Thanks for the logs. They confirmed what I was suspecting: a font problem is causing any application built on Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to crash. Based on our research there are two potential issues. The fixes are pretty easy.
One or more of your installed fonts does not have a proper date/time
The Registry may have some invalid font path entries
To Detect and Fix the Font Invalid/Missing Date Problem
Open an elevated command prompt (CMD.EXE) and navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts\
Save a font listing to your desktop with the command: DIR *.* /tw /od > %USERPROFILE%\desktop\fontlist.txt
3. Open fontlist.txt with notepad.
4. Remove any fonts with a missing or invalid date (January 1, 1601 for example). Easiest way to do this is by opening Windows Explorer, going to the fonts folder (C:\Windows\Fonts\), and removing the offending fonts.
5. Open LTT or one of the other TVTs to see if the problem is solved. If not, continue with the next section.
To Detect and Fix the Font Registry Problem
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. I cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk!
Open the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE)
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
Scan the "Data" column for each font looking for any illegal path characters

Oracle Universal Installer not working for 64 bit

Hi all, since I could not get the 32 bit ODP to work for me I decided to try the 64 bit but when I proceed to lauch the 64 bit installer I get the following message on my 64 bit machine.
Java(tm) 2 Platform Standard Edition binary has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program, and notify you if a solution is available.
Does anyone know why this might be?

I am not sure what an SO is.
As for the OS that I am using. My client Development Machine is running x64 Vista Ultimate and so far nothing works on it.
I am trying to programatically connect to an Oracle Express Edition on a Linux machine that has the same hardware as my dev server above (AMD 64).
I am also trying to not vent on this forum about the poor quality of product that I have experienced so far with Oracle as nothing that I have installed so far has worked. Please see my other recent Posts.

Does the Desktop Software v6 actually work for anyone?

I have been trying to get my desktop software to work, or more specifically to synchronize, for over two weeks now. I have tried all of the suggestions given me and still no luck. Does this program actually work for anyone?

I have a Canon MX882 and more often than note get an error message saying the printer is not connected. I check the printer and the get the message that the access point is accessed. I have reloaded the software and it worked for awhile. Any ideas?

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

I bought a new Lenovo Slim USB Portable DVD Burner. With the drive came the following software: BurnNow, DVD Movie Factory, WinDVD. Unfortunately that software will work in Windows 7, but it won't install in Windows 8. How can I get the software for Windows 8?

You can try setting the installer (and then the application .exe's) to run in compatibility mode. See this for more:

Note: If you don't get the Compatibility tab on the Properties for the installer apps, try copying them to a folder on a local drive first and running them from there.

Firefox installer not working for Windows 8.1?

I downloaded the latest Firefox installer and tried to run it. I got the Windows prompt to accept the software install, and then...... nothing. The installer never runs. Does anyone know what seems to be the issue?

Logic Studio: Software Update not working for Compressor and can't download

I'm a Logic Studio customer. The 3.0.2 update isn't working from Software Update. I've tried to download the installation file separately, but it looks like you need a Final Cut Studio SN to download. Compressor is part of Logic Studio, so we need to be able to update also - without relying on Software Update. Thanks guys

I was thinking it might be a good idea to delete and re install the iMovie and iPhoto applications from the Mac App store.
First find the apps in your Applications folder in finder, and move them to the trash and restart your computer.
Then use this article to re download them from the Mac App Store.

I just got a touch and it says I have to use Itunes 64 bit. So I go download 8.02 64 from the apple site but when I try to install it a popup comes up and say windows installer could not be accessed. So I can't install it. I have vista 64bit home prem and was wondering if anyone has a solution yet? I have tried a lot of google solutions but none seem to work. Thanks

You may have to download iTunes again using Internet Explorer.

Iphoto 9.6 is not sharing with Facebook,iMessage,iCloud and is not working for print orders

iphoto 9.6 on yosemite is deleting all of the pics from the former library, iphoto 9.6 can't share with Facebook despite that it is oke with the account. no sharing with iMessage and no sharing with iCloud possible the choices stay grey. also print orders are not possible it's stay also grey.

I had the same issue, email, iMessage, Facebook,etc.. plus print all greyed out. I went up to the File menu, clicked on the Switch to Library drop down. Since I only have one library it was already selected, hit choose and all of the functions work again. Seems the system wasn't acknowledging my original library once I updated to Yosemite or 9.6. Either way, it works now.
If that does not work here is another suggestion
Try repair permissions with Disk Utility.
