Software metering date not available for selection sccm 2012

I have installed SCCM 2012.
While viewing a report for software metering date and year are not available for selection. they are blank.

Now there is another problem.
When I see the software metering report for enabled rule i.e. KasperskyAdminKit I can not understand the figures

New custom field in MCVBAK not available for selection in RSA5

I added a custom field to the communication structure MCVBAK. When I go to RSA5 and select the Maintenance button to select it, it is not visible in the list. Do I need to do something other than add to MCVBAK to make it available for selection?

Hi Boater,
Have you included this new field from MCVBAK in the extract structure from LBWE T-code? If you haven't, you need to do this and it will be available in RSA6. Hope this helps.

Creating InfoPackage: Data Targets not available for selection. Any hints?

Hi,
I have 5 ODSes which by design are to feed a 6th ODS. I created 5 update rules, using each of the 5 ODSes, separately as infosources.
The problem is that under the Infosource tree, I see the system generated InfoSouce but while creating the Infopackage, under Data Targets tab, my 5 ODSes are not available. Infact, it gives me no data targets for selection.
Any hints on what I might be missing in the steps?

say you have zods1 to zods6, and zods6 is feed by zods1-zods5,
under infosource tree, you create infopackage from which ods's generated infosource ? i guess zods6,
then yes you wont see any ods in data target, since zods6 has no further update to any data target,
you will see zods6 in generated infosource of zods1,zods2,zods3,zods4,and zods5.
you won't see all zods1-zods5 in one infosource unless they have update rules for all zods1-zods5 with same infosource.
you will need to go one by one infosource for each ods's infosource.

ALV Grid: Cell not available for selection

How can I make a cell(or an entire column) not available to be selected?

I was able to forbid users to click on cells that has got null values by:
a) declare the column as hotspot when you are building the fieldcatalog (fieldcatalog-key = 'X')
b) inside the form "user_command", after reading the data inside the internal table, use something like:
if wa_it_alldata-accounting_doc_nbr ne space.
processing logic
endif.
wa_it_alldata would be the internal table and can be prefilled by something like:
read data table, using index of row user clicked on
READ TABLE it_alldata_f INTO
wa_it_alldata INDEX rs_selfield-tabindex.

Hierarchy not available for selection

A new hierarchy is created in R/3 for the 0Customer,but is not visible in the RSA3 for selection ? is there anything else to be done to make it available under selection?

If you created a custom hierarchy based on sets then go to GS03 and check whether they exist and go to BW07 and check have you created a DataSource for it and the DataSource active.
Then Go to RSA3 and check.

Internet Explorer 11 not available in WSUS/SCCM 2012

Hi all,
do you have any idea why Internet Explorer 11 is not available in WSUS or SCCM 2012.
I would like to deploy it as an update and not as an application.
I have IE 10 listed and also Cumulative Updates for IE 11.
Is it not yet released for SCCM Deployment?

Data not available for a particular field - when exectuing report on MP

I am executing a report on multiprovider where 3 ods's are linked.i'm getting data into all the fields except for one field.(sales doc type).I have checked all my linking in the identification also. i cross checked by using the Tcode : listcube and executed the report - here i'm getting the data but in the report i'm not getting.Can any one help me out with this.

Hi Sunita,
0DOC_TYPE has key and text in the (business explorer Display), but you are saying you have it as text and key. Make it inline with what is there in the info object definitione.
Note you have 2 options in Extras of the multiprovider.
1. Key and Text
2. Text and Key.

ISE dashboard - CPU, memory - data not available for PSN

Hi All,
Has anyone seen the ISE dashboard not showing stats for CPU memory for PSN's ? Admin node cpu and memory displays ok.
How is this data shared between the nodes ?
I did have some firewall issues between admin and PSN but this is now solved. I did note the same issue even when nodes were on same L2 network.

Confirmed this issue was caused by syslog dropped by firewall. Symptoms included dashboard wasn't updating for that node, and also no auth logs getting back to monitoring node.
ASA was permitting UDP 514 (syslog) but not UDP 20514.
I'm a bit confused on UDP 30514. In the guide it also says 30514 is syslog in one spot, and radius in another.

System not available for selection in Maintenance Optimizer

Hello,
When planning the maintenance in MOPZ I choose product version and the system displays a list of systems assigned to the Product Version. However, the list only shows one of the two systems assigned to the logical component (prod system). I have looked at the logical component in SMSY listed under SAP ERP -> SAP ECC Server -> Z_SAP ERP and both systems are listed and are "green". A Consistency Check of the logical component shows no errors.

There is no 'display filter' on the screen you are referring to, Change Management -> Maintenance Optimizer -> Create New Maintenance Transaction. This is the initial screen of the maintenance transaction where it shows the 5 steps of the maintenance transaction. The following selectable fields are available:
Priority
Short Text
Product version
When I make a selection for the product version an additional selectable table is available where I can select the systems. I should be able to see all the systems assigned to the logical component, however I only see one of the two systems.
I have checked two other Solution Manager systems and there is no 'display filter' or 'hide filter' button either.

SCCM 2012 Software Metering is not working

SCCM 2012 Software Metering is not working in our environment. Other than software metering, reports work just fine.
I have created a few simple software metering rules with “Acrobat.exe” and “Outlook.exe”. Rules are enabled. Rules were on at least 6 months.
When I go to software metering reports, Month parameter value is empty and I can’t choose any value.
I ran runmetersumm.exe on our server, it did not work as intended. :
Summarizing data up to 0 hours old.
File Usage Summary added -1 rows in 0 seconds.
Monthly Usage Summary added -1 rows in 0 seconds.
I am stumped. Why would it add minus rows?
Any ideas how I can make software metering work on our environment?

Finally figured it out.
mtrmgr.log did not find any rules when I ran executables. So I knew it wasn't working on the server side.
After searching for a while, I found the solution from the link below:

1. Deleted RULECHG.RTA under policypv.box folder
2. Removed and recreated metering rules again.
Everything is working again now.

Delta field not enabled for selection in generic data source

I have created a generic data source for the table VBFA....and for the delta pick up i have put the delta option as CALDAY on the field ERDAT...and i have selected that field for the selection option. but after i made it delta enabled the selection option got disabled.
Now when i check the info package delta selection tab that date column is not apperaing.
But when i have to run the info package for the first i dont want all the data as it has a huge set of data.
I wanted to take only this months data.
So is there any option to be set to enable this selection in info package.
please suggest.

Hi there,
That's the stardard behaviour. If you use delta based om ERDAT, that field won't be available for selecting.
You could for example try to build a view over VBFA, and let the field ERDAT there and another field, for example ZERDAT (that is just another alias for ERDAT). Create the delta based onyour view over the field (ERDAT), but you can still control the restrictions over the extractore with your ZERDAT.
I don't know if this is possible, this is only an assumption.
Another option could be first to create an extractor based on the table VBFA but without delta, that field ERDAT would be available. Do your full data restricting it, and after that, change your datasource to use deltas based on ERDAT. It will be unavailable than, but since you've already loaded previous full data, you could than use your delta like it is. But here, remember, your deltas will bring new and change data based on ERDAT. If it brings delta based on changed data over ERDAT to a record that you didn't brought over your full (only some data), it will be incorrect records.
Also just an assumption, did not try it.

Position 1000001 not available for the start date of the infotype record

Dear Experts/Gurus,
I am getting the following error message "Position 1000001 not available for the start date of the infotype record" while trying to upload employees HR Master data in PA40.
I know the reason why because the position is created on 01.05.2009 & employee DOJ is 01.02.2006 both are mismatch & the position date has to be changed earlier date than DOJ but i don't know how to do.
Please let me know how to sort out this issue asap.

Use PP02, select the position no, select infotype 1000 (Object), select planning status & validity(date) and then use the copy function to change the start date.

New DSO data fields are not available for transformations in the upwardflow

Hello,
There are data flow from
many source DSOs -> Target DSO -> Final DSO.
Different transformations are defined and activated with DTPs. This works fine and provides the desired results.
now new fields are added to the target DSO, final DSO and one of the source DSO.
When I now try to edit the transformations, the new fields are not part of the sources at the different stage.
The fields are available in the Data Source created out of a DSO but not directly when using a DSO as a data source.
Have anyone faced such a problem?
any solutions to this?
- I cannot delete all the other transformations as this is too much work to do and there is no time for it.

We created ZMD_BS_MAT_OVP_LAYOUT. But the situation has not changed - the fields are not available for edit.
