Software os10

Buon Giorno.

I did the upgrade as soon as it was available, and I have not regreted it since. Do not be alarm if for the first few days the phone is slughish, it is normal as it is re-syncing everything, and alos the battery will not last as long for those few days, but it is back to normal very quickly, and all the improvement are worth it

  • IDVD v7.1.2 launch problem

I used the program successfully two days ago, making a DVD.  Yesterday and today I go to launch and it takes forever eventually I get the message:  Searching for movie data in file "Sequence 1-Fin-0000086".     Earlier this week I updated to all the latest Apple software, OS10.6.8 which also included an iDVD update to v7.1.2 and other items.   Eventually the project comes up (no splash screen "Open new" or "existing").    Today I ran the Software update program, but nothing new about iDVD.
While waiting the finder locks up for awhile, I cannot get to the Force Quit in the dropdown and when I do, it looks like iDVD is running normal (no "not responding" message).  Once I get the iDVD program to Forced Quit, then the computer returns to normal operation.
    Help!  My computer is a 2010 i7 iMac (27in).

I found the solution: remove your most recent project iDVD created file and start over.    Your file will have the .dvdproj extension.    The file I created and used to make a DVD somehow became corrupted.  I don't know how the corruption could have happened, but it cooks the program and holds your MAC hostage.

Load the drivers and you should then be able to add it in Print Center.

Thanks Just figured this out when I tried to download Mavericks and got the same message .The reason i wanted to upgrade OSX was to access Pges 5.2.2 because I'm sharing a document with someone who has the latest Pages version. Any solutions? Or I'm just stuck?

  • After downloading latest Reader software (11) on my Mac (OS10.7.5) I cannot print pdf files on either of my two printers. How do I uninstall and reinstall the software?  Adobe's instructions are only for Window devices.

After downloading latest Reader software (11) on my Mac (OS10.7.5) I cannot print pdf files on either of my two printers. I suspect corrupt software.  How do I uninstall and reinstall the software?  Adobe's on-line instructions are only for Window devices.

You can just drag the file to the trash. If you want you can remove  the pdf plug-in from the internet-plug in folder, but that should not be necessary to correct your problem.

The latest upgrade Maverick requires a MAC dated 2007 or later. Where is the date... It is NOT in "About this Mac".
I feel an older upgrade than Maverick might be better for my machine?
Is it possible to upgrade to ie, 10,7? or another recommended upgrade.

Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99.
If you sign into the App Store and try to purchase Mountain Lion but the App Store says your computer is not compatible then you may still be able to upgrade to Lion per the following information.
    A. Upgrading to Mountain Lion or Mavericks
To upgrade to Mountain Lion or Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion or Mavericks (Free) from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

         OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later

             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
    B. Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • After upgrading to OS10.3.9 I've developed several software probems.

After upgrading to OS 10.3.9 and performing the recommended software updates I've developed multiple new problems many related to mail and atachments:
    -I use an aol email address, accesed via Netscape 7.2 no problems prior, now-attachments downloaded as documents-.doc are blank when opened, .pdf files can't be opened by Adobe Reader 7.0.8; In-Box goes blank if I attempt to delete a single message, erratic things happen to read emails (show up in random folders or just disappear); and "leave as New" doesn't work;
    -I reinstalled Netscape 7.2-no help;
-if I use Firefox 1.0.4, go to aol sign in directly on the web, can manage emails from within the site, but can't download attachments predictably.
-Attachments to emails to be sent, no longer show up in body of email (settings checked)
-MWord v.X crashes frequently and icon doesn't show up on downloaded attachments and documents are blank when opened as stated above. (helper application preferences checked). However documents composed in MWord are fine.
Help--I'm now in over my head!
    thanks-Betty

    Hi Betty!
"After upgrading to OS 10.3.9 and performing the
    recommended software updates..."
Did you upgrade an earlier version of Panther
    10.3.x, to 10.3.9?
Or did you upgrade to Panther 10.3.x, from an
earlier version of OS X, like Jaguar
    10.2.x?
How did you upgrade to 10.3.9, and what other
    "software updates" were installed?
    ali b
Wow! i've been away a while--illness in family...thanks for your support.
I upgraded from 10.2.9 by using the CD purchased.
No other new software loaded at that time or since then, until i figure out the problems; unless it was on the CD?!?
I am going to try to repair the disc permissions as suggested by another message.
Thanks--please feel free to offer other tips.

If you are trying to install the updated Epson scanner driver when you get this message, it will be due to the installer not being digitally signed - which is odd if it is an updated driver. To get past this block, which is a function of Gatekeeper, hold down the Control button and click the installer. A pop-up window will appear. Select Open from the menu. You will now get the option to install the driver software.

  • Cant get OS10.3.x because latest software already installed??!!!

I had installed OS 10.3 on my BB10 before loosing all my data and having to restore to the previous 10.2.1.3062 version.
Since, I keep getting the same message when trying to update to the 10.3 version: my phone already has the latest software...
I tried trhrough BBLink with the same result.
I think BB uses the serial number in order to determine if you already got the latest version or not, which is really stupid, I dont see any other reason...
Is it a known issue? Can you help out please?

    Hello,
Actually, it may be something completely different. LINK simply checks your device's installed OS version against what your carrier currently sanctions...if what you have is older than what is current, then it offers the upgrade. It does not store any history of upgrade, and later forbid it if you attempt again.
What I rather think has happened is that your carrier has pulled the OS from their sanctioned list...we are seeing reports of some carriers doing so while all of the issues with it get sorted. If your carrier indeed did pull it, then what LINK or the on-device OTA method is telling you is completely accurate -- from your carrier, you are running their currently sanctioned version (or better).
Of course, only your carrier can answer if indeed they have pulled that OS from their list of sanctioned versions.
    Good luck!

  • Looking for economical OS10.4 software, have 10.2.8 now

Does anyone have a source that I can optain 10.4software?
I am currently using a G4 Power Mac with 10.2.8

Tiger install DVDs are in short supply. Tiger is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available for $129 by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753). For other sources, do a Google search for MA453Z/A (10.4.6), MA190Z/A (10.4.3) and M9639Z/A (10.4). Also look on eBay. Be sure & buy a retail version (black with silver X) and not a model specific version (gray) (See http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1976068 Can I use another Mac's system restore disc on my Mac?.

What, you want all that AGAIN?
    Windows here I come ...

Unfortunately when Adobe products are restored from backup, especial CS4 and especially Mac, it breaks licensing.
There is a python script included in the license recovery kit that should work if you are familiar with Terminal.
If not, you must reinstall your CS4 suite.  You don't need to delete your preferences, so it should be the same as before.

  • Text messaging after the new software update

i have not been able to text out since the update, it sits forever in the message window and i can type the message i want to send but when i hit send nothing happens, it sits for a few minutes and then says "failed to save message" .
then goes blank. i have power cycled, and i have waited and i tried plugging in the device and trying again, nothing. It has alwys used up my entire battery that was a full 100% at 7 am and down to 20% by 9 am and all i did was try and sent a text message...WTH is going on with it?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you might want to try a clean OS reload via AutoLoader:
