Software to match video with music tempo

Greetings, I am controlling video on projector screens for a concert. I want the video pace to match the audio pace. I was wondering if there is any software out there that could do this for me if I ran an audio signal into my mac.

Not sure, but I think the best software for this might be the stuff in between your ears. Just kidding....sort of.
It's not clear from your post if you hope to match video to specific musical beats, or if you have video that is connected with certain songs in the concert. Or perhaps, both conditions need to be met.
I am in a band, and am working on video that I am cutting to our pre-recorded versions of the songs we will do in concert After the video is done our band (it's actually a early music ensemble) will rehearse with it to get a feel for the pace. Am trying to include elements for adjusting in a live situation.

Mixing Video with Music

Hello.
I am new to iTunes. I own a PC and normally use Windows Media Player for songs and music videos. I create playlists in Media Player which contain both songs and videos mixed together and play them in full screen for gatherings in my home as my computer is connected to my TV and it makes for nice entertainment for everyone while mingling.
I really like the quality of the downloads available from iTunes but cannot seem to get videos and songs to play together like I can with Windows Media Player. With iTunes, it seems to be either one or the other, not both!
How do I create a playlist in iTunes to play both video and music at full screen? Is this not possible with iTunes 6.0?

Thank you for the reply. Microsoft Windows Media Player has been able to do this for over ten years now, but, yes, I have found out from other people as well mixing video and music under the same playlist is impossible with Apple software. Shame.
Well, I will just have to abandon Apple and go back to Microsoft, but thank you for answering.

Software for recording video with built in i-sight for new macbooks mbp?

Does any software exist that will allow a macbook or a macbook pro user to record video with their built in isight camera at the top of the screen? If so, let me know. I need to document countless hours of reading the forums...

iMovie will allow you to record from your built in iSight as well.

Creating A Simple Video With Music and A Picture Background

Some of you all may know that I am in a band. I am wanting to put some of my music on youtube and am wanting to make just a simple video- with the song playing in the background- and just some sort of nature picture, or only a few going in the background. I'm thinking I should use iMovie, but I haven't had a whole lot of luck figuring it out this morning, so I was wondering if anyone here could help me with the task that I mentioned. It would be so greatly appreciated!!!

I have created video with music and pictures. I have exported it. But all that shows is the music no pictures. I have done this before and it worked ok. Am I missing something?

I have created a video with pictures and music. When i export it, it goes into a MP4 video. which I have done before and it worked ok. Now the only thing on the MP4 video is music but not my pictures.
I am very new to this and have taught myself everything so far. I have no technical understanding. So please make any answers as basic as you can.

Is there a way I can make a video with music and effects on my iPad

I want to make a video withe my pictures on my iPad for my aunts funeral . it's a video to be played at my aunts funeral.

I have no personal experience doing this, but I suggest looking at Apple's iMovie app (in the app store) to accomplish this.

Iweb will not workif I try to post a video with music in it.

New Prob: I have split all my sites onto new sites and everything has worked fine for two years now, Then I tried to add a site with old family movies which has film from the first races in Watkins Glen, really cool stuff my Grand Dad Lou Teemley took. Any way I had some music on there from my I tunes.
Then I tried to publish and I got the old error message, not connected to the internet etc...
So I made a new site and put the films on their on site etc... still will not publish and now my main site can not be found and I can not publish that site either. What Gives???? Thanks

You might try a different way of adding the video files to the web page. This demo page has one where the file does not load until the play button is selected: Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window. This demo page has 9 short videos on it using that method: PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes. Just add a screenshot of one of the movie frames or any photo you want and add the Play button on or below it.
You manually upload the movie file to your server so iWeb is not involved in the uploading the file at any time.
Similarly this demo page, QT movies via iFrame, has a method that has you manually uploading the file to the server and linking to it via iFrame code. That page also has other similar methods.
Another method is demonstrated in Roddy's iWeb for Musicians site on his Video page. Here you also upload manually.

Importing video with music attached

I remember watching a training DVD suggesting that when you import music from a CD to lower it by -12dB
I'm working on compiling a collection of music videos into one continuous mix, after I edit what vids to use before I export them to individual .mov's should I lower the audio level by the aforementioned -12dB?
Most of the music is actually not that good a quality and the levels are below 0dB.

No. The levels on the CD are already safe, and hopefully good.
If anything, you might need to raise the levels of some tracks to match others.
I wonder where that idea came up...it is true that when mixing sound,
one typically keeps the levels around -12dB, but a well-mastered CD
will have good levels already. In fact most pop CD production includes
ways of making the levels hotter than -12dB and still sounding good.

Shuffle video with music on lock screen

My issue is the reverse of the issue here - Videos playing during song shuffle
On my old iPhones 3GS and iPhone 5, I would listen to a shuffle on my phone while locked. This also successfully played the audio from any music videos I had (no visual as the screen was locked of course).
This was perfectly fine by me and I rather appreciated it.
However, my new iPhone 6 isn't doing the same. It still puts videos into the shuffle list but will not play them. Typically, it just skips that track and moves onto the next one.
When I unlock my phone and play the shuffle in an opened music app, it gets even worse as it just seems to stall on playing the video until I manually skip forward to the next track.
I'm currently running iOS 8.1.3 and the phone was only purchased last December. All versions of the iOS since I got the phone have had this problem. As my iPhone 5 had the same iOS version at the time I upgraded (but didn't have this issue), I'm willing to bet I either lost a setting somewhere in the transfer or it's exclusively an iPhone 6 problem.
If someone could even just help me to get the audio from the videos playing on the lock screen again, I'd appreciate it.

Lately, I've been editing and making videos for a local church in Mexico. I am not selling any of the videos. The are free to watch. However, is it permissible to upload a video with music, sound effects, and video effects from imovie? I using imovie version 10.0.2

There are a number of con-men who think that they can earn a quick buck from claiming that they own the copyright to Apple’s royalty-free jingles and sound effects included with the iLife applications. These are all free to use, as clearly stated in section 2.C of the iLife Software License Agreement:
“You may use the Apple and third party audio content (“Audio Content”) contained in or otherwise included with the Apple software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original soundtracks for your video and audio projects. After my last Ipod update my album artwork isn't matching up with the music.

It seems something is corrupted, if the artwork isn't matching up with music. What should I do to restore this?

Sometimes the artwork caches on these device becomes corrupt. Try the following until one works.
Reset the device.
Remove both albums involved from the device, then add them back again.
Remove all media, then add it back.
Restore the device.
Your media is all inside your iTunes library, right? If not you'll need to recover it from the device first.

How to sync music video with XDCAM footage

Anybody have a recommendation of how to shoot a music video in 24p on the Sony EX1, and make sure the on-set playback matches the original music track for editing in a XDCAM EX 1080/24p timeline?
Is it like the crystal sync playback with film, or the 60hz playback with 60i video? Something else maybe? Slow it down in post?

Get your audio source and sample rate convert to 48K naming the export appropriately.
load that into an FCP sequence set up for what you're shooting, start your sequence at 59:00:00 first hit of audio at 01:00:00:00
you may want to make a countdown eg snare drum cross stick etc for it in soundtrack pro. make sure the countdown matches the tempo of the piece. You'll need this if the piece starts with sync audio of the musicians playing.
put a slug and a timecode generator filter on it. you'll have to fool with the offset to get it to match your sequence time.
note the Time codes for each of your setups and place a marker at each setup then back up a few seconds and place a start marker for each setup.
Playback off the FCP sequence starting a few seconds early. shoot the screen with the TC numbers and without going out of record shoot the next setup. Playback audio from this sequence. Obviously a laptop is the way to go here
this sequence you used is now your master. drop in your shots according to the TC burn-in you shot
turn tracks on and off to select what you want and cut the piece.

HT1535 The music I have in my i touch does not match or sync with music on my Mac. What is the best way for me to sync both devices without losing any music?

The muisc I have in my i-Touch does not match up with the music list in my Mac, therefore have issues syncing. Is there anyway to keep all those songs without losing some of it?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. I'm comming here to ask you if you got some problems whith snow leopard and video or music softwares ?
I've already asked Ableton,and other music forums to help me ;
but everybody said me that my problem comes from snow leopard...( I won't explain you for the moment what is wrong , cause I don't know If you use that kind of softwares ,I'll just say that is MIDI problem...)
So I just would like to know if , at your knowledge , "snow " leopard works as well as leopard or not ???

so , I would like to use Behringer BCR 2000 ( midi control )with Ableton live 8
by the usb mode : to control the software by this midi harware device.
BCR 2000 receive midi informations but Live doesn't receive any signal ...
