Hi all!
Good news! We have brought forward the software update schedule for our Nokia Lumia 710, and have begun rolling out the latest update 1600.3015.8107.12070 to India and Singapore. We will add more countries and variants to the rollout based on market requests.
The new Lumia 710 update brings the following enhancements:
• Smoother device performance (when ending a call) as well as
• other minor performance and usability improvements
As soon as the update is available for you, your phone will display a notification on your Homescreen or you can check for available updates manually by going to Settings > phone update. To update your phone, please follow those 4 steps:
1.   Install the Zune software (Windows) or Windows Phone 7 Connector (Mac OS) on your computer. You'll need this software to download the phone update.
2.   Connect your phone to your computer, using the USB cable that came with your phone.
3.   If the Zune software or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac doesn't start automatically when you connect your phone, start it manually.
4.   In the Zune software, click Update Now (in Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac, click Install Updates). Make sure you keep your phone connected to your computer until you see a notification that the update is complete.

Well La Dee Dah Yvonne . . . I got news for you . . . 3 different nokia employess at 3 different times and days told me that they have no idea when a new update will be out. Infact one of them went so far as to tell me to sell of my phone and buy a new one if i'm not happy with it and guess what . . . Thats EXACTLY what i did. I had 2 Nokia Lumia 710's. A black one for myself and a white one for my wife. Well so taking your Nokia Employees enlightened advice I went and bought a black Samsung Galaxy S II for myself and a white one for my wife . . . And trust me when i say this but i'm going to go around telling anyone who cares to listen how Nokia cheated a custome who's been loyal to them for the last 22 YEARS. New update available for Lumia 800 (1600.2487.8107...

Hi all!
Good news! We have brought forward the software update schedule for our Nokia Lumia 800, and have begun rolling out the latest update 1600.2487.8107.12070 to India and Singapore. This update will gradually be available for more markets in the coming weeks and we will keep you informed via our support pages as well as via a similar announcement here on Nokia Discussions Forum, once we add additonal markets to the roll out.
As this is not a mandatory software update, not every country or network carrier will make it available to their customers. However, all features and enhancements will be included in subsequent software updates. If you have questions if 1600.2487.8107.12070 will be available for you, please check with your local network carrier.
The new Lumia 800 update brings the following enhancements:
Enhanced battery standby and talk-time performance
Fix for non-responsive screen when ending a call
Improved bass in audio performance
Soft keys illumination available for all screen brightness levels
Fix for rebooting in certain network conditions

There is no request, there is an absolute necessity! Patience is usually my second nature, but the whole non communication policy since the launch of the Nokia Lumia 800 is scandalous. When Nokia finally listening to their customers and responds quickly to problems and childhood illnesses. Like many others with me I'll be forced to daily to plug my device to the Zune software in the hope that Nokia (Netherlands) will be so kind to update my phone.
Nokia, listen, communicate (especially in the media and forums) and trade as a company that lives up to your image.

New software update available for Nokia C2-02 and ...

Hey,
There's a new SW update available for Nokia C2-02 and Nokiw C2-03: version 7.63. These device models are also sold as C2-06/C2-07/C2-08 on certain regions. The update is already available via Nokia Suite, FOTA update should be coming out sooner or later as well. I will post an update about the here later on.
Key changes:
A warning is now given when the volume is too loud
Improvements to the display brightness
Can now unsubscribe from the Tips and Offers service
Timezone fix for Russia and Argentina
Fix for device camera sometimes crashing during taking photos

Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Try to reinstall the software of your Nokia C2-02. Using Nokia Suite click on Tools > Software update > Reinstall.
If in case you can't reinstall the software, try doing a master reset. Go to Menu > Settings > Restore factory settings > Restore All.
Note: Create a backup first before doing any kind of reset to avoid deletion of data. If prompted for a lock code, enter 12345 unless you changed it.

If anybody faces "Internal error. Either your device’s software of hardware (or both) is not compatible…" error message when attempting to update their phone to this 3.90 version, check your product code with *#0010# and report me the code that is listed after "content:" field.

The update is currently temporarily available on via FOTA (and not via Nokia Suite). There was a small problem with automatic user data restore with Nokia Suite after the update, which is currently being investigating. If you already updated your device with Nokia Suite, you might have to trigger the userdata restore manually from "tools->restore".

Hi I bought my new Nokia C3-00 mobile yesterday. It is very good in functions, but the problem I felt is that there is no control to adjust the brightness. I searched all over the net and couldn't find a solution. That's why came here to put a suggestion. Why the Nokia people didn't made such a basic function in some phones.
Is any firmware update have this function ?
Also, my phone has version 7.20, RM-614. Nokia now announced that a firmware option 8.63 is available. So I checked for software update directly from my phone using the software updater. It founded a software update and downloaded it. After downloading, it begin to install by restartign the phone, But after restarting, before installing, the message displayed that Unable to Install. Why like this ?I tried it 2 3 times. The same with he case of OVI. Nokia, please consider the needs of customers.

A new SW update for Asha 311 is currently being rolled out: version 5.92. Some of the consumers are already able to get the update, the rest should follow soon. The update is currently also only available via Nokia Suite, and not via FOTA yet. I will be posting an update here when there is further development on this topic.

Hey armagon, i have updated my asha 311 to 5.92 but there is still no copy-paste option, why?
I also noticed that the cancel button below Select Internet Connection popup doesn't work, it never clicks. I have attached screenshots of the phone so that you could see what i mean.

if you update the device with Nokia Suite or take it to a Care service point for reflashing, the Social app is removed and directly replaced with new standalone Facebook & Twitter clients.
Even if you update the device via FOTA (in which case Social app stays on the phone), I would still strongly recommend downloading the standalone Facebook & Twitter clients from Nokia Store as those provide a better user experience.

what SW version does your device currently have? Type *#0000# in the device homescreen to check this. Also what is your product code? That can be seen by typing *#0010# in the homescreen (the code is listed after the "content:"-field).

ITunes tells me there is new software updates available for my nano and when I press update it tells me that iTunes could not contact the iPod software update server b/c I'm not connected to the internet (I know that I am or I could not submit this)?

So anyone know why the iPod software update server connot connect to my PC when I know that I'm on the internet?
