Software Update button: How many times a day do you click it??

I want to know if there are any other obsessive / compulsive iPhone users out there like me that repeatedly click the "Check for Update" button in iTunes?
I click it maybe a dozen times a day, hoping for a miracle and I'll get a different answer other than "Version 1.0 is the current version."
Maybe it's like the definition of insanity where you keep doing something over and over hoping for a different outcome but knowing its going to have the same result.

That is the latest version of Itunes, the iphone software is version 1. I click on it about on average 1 a day. No need to worry about missing an update as I am sure folks here will be posting about it the minute it comes out.
I am content to set back and let it check 1 a week like it is set now.

How to keep track of how many times a link has been clicked or accessed? Do I need to use database for this?

Proably something like this can work,
1> Have a servlet/bean invoked when the link is linked
2> have a static variable in that servlet/bean wich gets incremented before the control is passed to another desired page..
The problem with this approach is that care has to be taken that the servlet/bean is not re-instalised, in case of which the static variable will also be instalised and the data would be lost.
The best thing is to store the count in the database.

CC always says I need to update software - no matter how many times I update it

Hi everyone, This is just a small issue but I'm using CC on a Mac Pro on OX X 10.8.5. No matter how many times I update the software, when I restart my computer it always tells me the exact same software needs to be updated. Has anyone else had this issue?

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

On average, how many times do you have to restart ...

Ever since I've been using the E71 (less than a month, a new set), I have to restart it about thrice daily. Mostly, the problem occurs while connecting the phone to the PC (Windows 7) when the USB connection type selector on the phone (which appears when you connect the cable and asks for which mode to connect in) freezes; but some other times, just about any application (including the built-in ones) decides to take a nap and the only way to get it back is turn the set off and then back on again. And as soon as that is done, the app icons are all moved back from the customized folders to the folder "Installations" - very frustrating. I'm afraid of restarting this phone as lots of settings and app icons revert back to the defaults after restarting and I've to go through them again. But at the same time, there seems to be no way to make a stuck USB connection type selector work again without restarting.
Well, from my experience here, I know this particular problem has no solution. (Even if the process is ended using an external app manager, it hangs again on starting the app. This continues until the phone is restarted.) Therefore, I'm not looking for a solution here, although one will be welcome if you've undergone the same and have found a workaround. I just wanna know if you do also have to restart your phone. (I also have one Sony Ericsson and an iPhone; I don't generally need to restart them as long as I don't want to restart. At my current place, however, a Nokia phone is all I can use.)

This will help me determine if the problem lies with the phone or it's me who's doing something differently. Yes I have apps installed on the SD card. Shifting them to the internal memory is not really an option (would leave very little free space over there which would then cause other problems). Besides, if the phone allows you to install the apps on the card, shouldn't they work from there? Yes, they should.
Without the card, there will be no custom apps and the phone would be almost useless (will turn into a basic device used to make calls and send text). To me, this is not an option. Also, I don't see how it would solve the problem automagically after some time.
The card doesn't seem to be faulty. I tried to connect the phone without the card inserted and it got connected alright for two times but the USB mode chooser froze the third time, just the same as with the card inserted. So a new card is probably not going to solve the problem.
Must be something strange happening here. Maybe it's due to the apps installed on the card rather than the internal memory, but I just cannot install all those apps within that limited space.

How many times do I have to download and install Firefox 34.0 Beta 7? Software update asks me to do this (and I do) at least once a day. Yes, I have restarted.

Using MacBook Pro, 15", early 2008, 2.4G Intel core 2 duo, 4G ram. Software update asks to update Firefox 34.0 beta7 every day. If I update, it just asks me to do it again. It has done this through the last several Beta updates. It's a bit disconcerting, since the updates are supposedly for security and stability. Let me put the question in another way: how many times do I have to ignore the update request before it quits asking? This is all causing me to regret making Firefox my default browser, especially since Safari has been improved so much.

Even so there is only a average of nine Beta test builds for each version in six weeks, so not that often.
Sound like you the update is not installing perhaps due to read/write permission issues.

Hi. Whenever I want to upload a picture or a file, no matter how many times I press the "Upload" or "Browse" button, nothing happens. I can keep spam clicking on it and it wouldn't do anything. This is not specific to a site, but happens everywhere. Dragging and dropping files works on Facebook and Imgur, but not all websites support this. I'm using Firefox 31.0 on Windows 8.1. Yes, I have tried restarting Firefox and computer, this has been happening for a while now. Thanks.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

This probably still applies to Windows 8:
Try to delete the MRU (Most Recently Used) ComDlg32 registry keys with the registry editor (regedit.exe).
Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32
Delete the subkeys (LastVisitedPidlMRU and OpenSavePidlMRU)
Be cautious with editing the registry as there is no Undo possible: all changes are applied immediately.
You can export registry keys before making changes.

MSN's latest update is crashing Firefox many times per day. When I try to send the crash report to Firefox, it says it has trouble sending the report. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a setting that can help?

Firefox is crashing every time I have my MSN email account up. (Since I use it for business, that's many times per day.) It seems to coincide with hotmail's latest update where the email is checked and downloaded to the inbox automatically. Then when it asks me if I want to send the crash report to Firefox, I select yes and it tells me it had trouble sending the report. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a setting I can change? I can't seem to keep my email account up for more than 10 minutes.
p.s if you're reading this Microsoft, it's still not bad enough to make me to go back to Internet Explorer!

How do I download ios5.1, there is no software update button in settings

I was going to download iOS 5.1 but then realized there was a more recent version out with numerous bug fixes caused by versions 4.3 and higher. So I looked up how to download it and every place said to go to settings, tap "General" and there will be a "Software Update" option for an 'over the air' wireless software update. But when I tried, there was no such illusive "Software Update" button.
How do I download iOS 5.1? I can't do it through iTunes because its meant for 'over the air'. But there's no way to do it without that button!
