Software update for 6233 via my Mac

Can someone tell me how I can do a ""Firmware update" using my Mac? I need to fix a bug, and apparently need to download this, only to find it's only for PCs?
HELP??

You cannot update your phones software using a mac, unless you have one of the newer macs that can also run windows.
If enough of the minority mac owners email nokia then they may make a program in the future.
You can still update your phones software by taking your phone to a nokia care point.

Can you help me how and where to update software of my cellphone? because the nokia gave me a version 4.95.

You can do it via the NSU Here
Or you can take it to your local Nokia Care Point.
You can find the one nearest to you at the Store Locator
My posts are my opinion and in no way the direct views of Nokia.
If my posts are helpful, please give me some KUDOS using the green star on the left.

  • What is the next software update for my Mac OS X v10.5.8? What do i need to to do?

What is the next software update for my Mac OS X v10.5.8? What do i need to to do?

10.5.8 is the last free update available for your system. If you wish to upgrade to newer versions of Mac OS X, you will first need to purchase and install a copy of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard is back on the online Apple Store, at least in some countries. In the US:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
If it's not listed on the web site of the Apple Store in your country, call the online Apple Store, they may still have copies of Snow Leopard available.
Once you have upgraded to Snow Leopard, you then will have the option to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion, if you wish to do so and your system will support it.
    Regards.

  • Why can't I receive software updates for my Nokia ...

I live in Singapore, and I heard that Nokia has released a software update for Nokia 6121 classic, which is version 5.11. My version is as follow:
    V 04.09
    21-09-07
    RM-308
    Nokia 6121c AP11.01
But when I tried updating my software using Nokia Software Updater, it says my firmware is already up-to-date. I even tried checking for software updates for my phone on the 'Can I update' section, but it says the same thing: "Latest firmware: 04.09". Why is that so? I will provide extra details about my phone:
    Code: 0558337
    MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1

    To update
The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.

  • Customise software update for Mavericks only

I am working on building up my MiniServer to do more than just file sharing, the next thing that would be nice is to cache software updates for the multiple instances of the Mac OS I run. When I turn on Software update, I can't parse the updates that are only for Mavericks unless I sort by date and manually manage it. That is quite time consuming and being that I don't use any version before 10.9 and soon to be 10.10, no other updates are needed.
I ask because storage is a bit limited in my case and it would be easier to have the server auto-cycle through a 15GB cache of the latest updates for Mavericks instead of downloading everything from the beginning of time.
    Is that possible?

Software Update Server provides either full manual operations, or automatic operations.
Automatic operations fetch all updates, for all active OS X versions.
Short answer: Get more disk space.   Aim your Server.app service data at (for instance) some big external disk, via Server.app > select the server at the left column > Settings > select Edit to the right of Service Data.  That'll let you increase the size of your Caching Server caches, as well.

  • Should I let it install "Apple software update for windows 2.0.2"?

Thanks, in advance... it may just be a ditz of a question.
Running Vista and when in Mac occasionally run Parallels, Apple Software Update window popped and this update appeared:
Apple software update for windows 2.0.2 with the description
"This update includes general fixes and renews the root certificate that authenticates software delivered via Apple Software Update."
I figure it was logical enough considering the obvious link but the description just looked to vague. So, I put it off... today searching the internet, Apple Help and so on for this "update" cannot find it anywhere. I have already had problems with file corruption so "fixing root certificates" unnecessarily is not ideal.
Anyone else know one way or another or just tell it to go away for good?
    Thank you,
    Kylie

I never actually use Software Update excep to tell me there is something (if I hadn't read about it). I go to the standalone downloads. There was one for QuickTime for Windows that you DO want.
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
It sounds like Software Update for Windows, and that probably does deserve installing (I use x64 and don't really trust support yet or installers from Apple for now) so I have Apple software update in vista turned off.
I do have the 9-17-2007 2.0.2 "Apple Software Update for Windows" installed.
Why I don't trust Apple: alerts and UAC's are always hidden behind the installer window in front. I just tried to close the windows or dialogue box for Apple Software Update Preferences, it asked for UAC and went black, but I can't even close the box even though all I did was hit "Okay" button. So its 'hung' now.
Apple needs to improve the installer for Vista - a lot. I like not having to type a password every time, that has gotten old after 6 yrs.

  • HT1338 my macbook air has not done a software update for over a year..

Please can some help and tell me how to perform software updates and switch on the auto update as i cannot believe there has been no software update for over a year!! .i have tried doing it manually via the software update section of the apple menu but it keeps telling me there is no update

If you're running Mac OS X 10.5.8, you need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store to upgrade further.
If you're running Mac OS X 10.6.8, you need to buy Mac OS X 10.8 from the Mac App Store, or if 10.8's incompatible with your Mac, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for 10.7.

Hard Drive warning when upgrading to Mountain Lion. 2nd try and I was able to upgrade. Software update for IPhoto, had problems restarting. Do I need my hard drive checked

    Yes.
Choose Apple menu > Restart. Hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys as your computer restarts.
When you see a white screen with an Apple logo in the middle, you can release the keys.
Click Disk Utility, and then click Continue.
In the list at the left, select the item you want to repair. (Be sure to select an item that’s indented to the right in the list, not an item at the far left.)
    Click First Aid.
If Disk Utility tells you the disk is about to fail, back it up and replace it. You can’t repair it.
    Click Repair Disk.
If Disk Utility reports that the disk appears to be OK or has been repaired, you’re done.
Otherwise, you may need to do one of the following steps.
If Disk Utility can’t repair your disk or it reports “The underlying task reported failure,” try to repair the disk or partition again. If that doesn’t work, back up as much of your data as possible, reformat the disk, reinstall Mac OS X, and then restore your backed-up data.
If you continue to have problems with your disk, it may be physically damaged and need to be replaced

  • HT1338 Why every time I get an Apple software update for my MacBook Pro click on it but at never opens up it always error

Why when I get a software update for my MacBook Pro i click on it for some reason it never connects to the server I can never get my software update is anyone else having this problem? if so what do I do? i have the 2007 macbook pro Mountain lion 10.8.2

Start up from that Mac OS X 10.4 disc you have.  Insert disc in optical drive and start up with the C key held down.  On the first Installer screen, from the menu bar, under Utilities, select to run Disk Utility.
In Disk Utility, select your startup volume (usually "Macintosh HD") in the sidebar and go to the First Aid tab.  Run Verify Disk.  If it reports a problem, that may be the reason for your long-term difficulties. You hard drive volume has data corruption.
You can try Repair Disk in Disk Utility.  However, it would be a very good idea to have a backup of the data on that disk, in case the attempt to repair makes the problem worse.

No promises but a System Reset is worth trying:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide.  Pay special attention to page 162.  Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.

Finally, the User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.
