Software Update for iPad Air

I have the latest software 7.0.4, when is a new update going to come out?  My iPad Air keeps crashing and I did all the resets, resets from computer etc, I even had it swapped out at a store and same thing it's constantly crashing.  I don't even have much on on iPad.  Some of the errors I'm getting are:
Stacks+mobilesafari
LowMemory
Mediaserverd
MobileSlideShow
LowBatteryLog
Log-aggregated
LatestCrash then it has several different crashes Aerogram, Appfile, Browser, Capture, Facebook, Itunesstored, Mediaremoted, Mediaseeverd, MobileSafari, MobileSlideShow, Scanner
Aerogram
Appfile
Awdd
Browser
Capture
ExcResource_MobileSafari
I heard many iPad Airs are doing the same thing, what gives?

I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):
curl http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4521.20140310.D2Ydl/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Rest ore.ipsw >>~/Desktop/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Restore.ipsw
Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
Quit and relaunch iTunes.
Should now work for you.

    Hey all,
I am trying to update my ipad to the new IOS 5 software update. However - after i have synced my update and click 'check for update' it states 'This version of the iPad software (4.3.5) is the current version.'
It seems that my itunes does not recognise the new update on the server.

  • Download of 8.1.2 update for ipad air 2 consistently fails after 2-3 hours.

I've made several attempts to download the 8.1.2 update for my ipad air 2.  Past IOS updates for earlier ipads typically took 3-4 hours.  With this update for the new air 2, the estimated time rapidly climbs from 4 hours to 14, then after 2-3 hours the status changes to "processing file", then there's a popup that "an error occurred".  Unfortunately I didn't capture the exact error code.  This has happened 4 times now at different times of different days of the week.  Using the latest version of iTunes (side note - where's help/about for version info?) on Windows 8.1.  Any ideas?  TIA.

Thanks but that's no help.  I have a relatively high-speed connection.  The 8.1.2 upgrade for our iphones still took 2-3 hours.  The issue with that doesn't seem to be my connection as it's only managing 1/3-1/2 full out.  I suspect any network slowdown is elsewhere.  In any case the estimate seems to be off because the download seems to complete.  At least that's how I interpret the status change from downloading to processing file. THEN the error occurs.

  • My IPad 1 works really slow and very limited amount of apps work on it is there a new software update? PLEASE APPLE LAUNCH A NEW SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR IPAD 1

PLEASE suggest what I shall do with my IPad like, shall I dowgrade my IPad so it works properly? or try to find a iOS 6 or 7 upgrade from a different website

The apple approved updates for an iPad 1 max out at 5.1.1. If you find a way to put iOS6 or 7 on there you'll be jailbraking it, which means Apple washes their hands of your device.
unfortunately, software moves faster than hardware. You will likely find, if you manage to hack your device and put 6 or 7 on it that you'll end up with a non functioning brick. Apple doesn't put iOS6 on the iPad one because the one simply lacks the power to run the newer operating system.

  • IOS 8.2 update for iPad Air

I Installed the 8.2 update on my iPad Air this morning and now none of my apps will open.  When I touch an app to open it, it asks for my iTunes store password and then when I enter the password, says it can't connect to the iTunes store and won't open the app.  Frustrating!  Anyone else having this problem?

There is a problem with the store right now. It's not you. Give it some time to sort itself out before you go and do any hard core troubleshooting.

  • Do I have to download another update for iPad Air. I downloaded one last Wednesday. Now cannot stream to Apple TV very well.  Nothing is clear on the blogs or Google.

I usually stream recorded TV from the FilmOn app. iPad Air 8 to Apple TV. I've had no problems until I downloaded an update as requested last Wednesday.  Now everything starts and stops.  I get a timer bar on the TV as if it is stopping to buffer every 2 or 3 minutes - then it restarts after about 3 minutes. Takes twice as long to watch a programme and very annoying!   Also Skype extremely poor with broken picture and poor sound.  (I am in New Zealand).   I understand the update last week had many bugs. Does another update 8.2 cure last weeks 8.1 ?
    thanks,
    C.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First you should try logging out of your iTunes Store account (settings > iTunes Store > accounts) and then back in again.
If that doesn't help, try resetting the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings). You should also try restarting your router.
If both of the above don't help, you should try a restore (Settings > General > Reset > Restore).

  • HT5052 i am struggling to download new software update for ipad 2 using itune: The problem is that im getting an error saying time out!!! and when i start downloading again it starts from zero!!

The problem is that im getting an error saying time out!!! and when i start downloading again it starts from zero!!

Their alternative option is for you to bring it into the store
You could google and look for some download helpers (presuming they still exist, haven't used them in years) but they're freeware or adware that caches your download to help you recover from timeouts.
the timeout is possibly caused by your ISP, if they regularly cycle routers or the such it 'burps' your connection  causeing it to cut out.
You might try taking your laptop to your local library which may have wifi. Or, as the others have suggested, a friend's house with cable internet.

  • Unable to download update for Ipad

Every time I try and download the software update for ipad 1 it says the network connection timed out. What am I doing wrong?

    Nothing.
Either the server is getting slammed or your ISP is having problems.
    Wait awhile and try again.

No promises but a System Reset is worth trying:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide.  Pay special attention to page 162.  Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad
Finally, the User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.

How can apple send out an os update that renders an important function of the software/hardware to not work? They knowingly have sent out this new os update for iPad which makes airplay nonfunctining! I need this for my business!  I could understand if they didn't know, but it is all over the Internet! When I went in to have it revert back to os6 (which worked fine!) I was actually asked if I had done any research before I installed the upgrade! As if this is the consumer's fault for being dumb enough to fall for the upgrade!

That is not what I have discovered, nor what others have discovered, nor what I was told when I went the Genius Bar.  I cannot remotely mirror to my MacBook Pro and it only started the day after I installed the upgrade.  We tested it with an iPad that had not been upgraded, no problem.
