I am unable to download update(iOS 8.1) due to lack of storage on phone. I have deleted most apps and still do not have enough. What do I do next?

Go to Settings>General>Usage, and see what is taking up so much room. Import your photos to your computer and delete them from the device. Delete text messages that have videos or photos attached to them.
Also, update to iOS 8.1 via iTunes on the computer your sync with. It does not require as much memory to update that way as it does when you do it OTA.

In iTunes under the Apps tab for the iPhone device just uncheck any app you don't want synced to the phone. When you next sync the app will be removed from the phone but remain in the iTunes library.

What happens when you try to sync? Do you see any error messages? Which software on the computer are you referring to, iTunes? The latest iTunes is 11.1.3. If you cannot update the phone due to lack of storage, you will need to delete some content from the phone.

You may have debris in your headphone jack blocking the sensor. Try blowing hard on the jack, and inserting/removing your headphones quickly multiple times to clear it.

Why is iOS 8.2 not updating on iPhone 5S? It got the user to Agree to the Terms and Conditions but nothing happens. The user is doing the update via a Wifi connection. Current OS version on the device is 8.1.3. User did a hard reboot of the device and still the same result. Not tried using iTunes as a workaround as we want to know why it's not updating via a Wifi connection. Storage space available is 9G.
If you know of someone who is experiencing the same issue, please let me know the fix. Thank you.

1. I do not know if this will help you or not. In researching this issue with my wife's iPhone 5c 8GB, the most common answer you will get is to adjust this or that setting, and disable this or that App. These at best are only a band-aide solution at all. The best reply I got was from a Verizon Rep that stated "By design, iPhones do turn off WiFi when they go dormant. So if a download is in progress, or information is being back-up wirelessly and the phone goes dormant, it will switch to use cellular data if it is left on". Afterwards, I discovered the exact same information here on the Apple Support Forum to support this statement.
2. Later onward, I read that if you keep your iPhone connected to a power source, it will prevent it from going dormant. In which case, this will prevent the iPhone from turning off the WiFi, and keep it connected to the WiFi. So far, this has help the most in controlling the amount of data usage being used, by my wife's iPhone.

Problem with ios certificate server not updating the CRL

The background is that i'm currently setting up a DMVPN solution with the ipsec tunnels between the spokes created using certificates.
I'm using a cisco 877 as the CA server (its running 12.4(6)T5) to provide the certificates to the spoke routers. This part is working fine - the spokes can request a certificate and get one issue all well and good.
The problem is on the CA, the CRL lifetime is set to 24 hours but the CA is not updating the CRL so when the spokes look for the revocation list (as set in their trustpoint) they are reporting an error that the CRL is out of date and won't connect.
If is do a '#sh crypto pki server' it lists a 'CRL NextUpdate timer. this has a timestamp that is 24 hours after the last certificate was revocked. The only way i can get the CRL to be re-generated is to revoke a certificate.
So, my question is, have i missed something here? I thought the CA would automatically generat a new CRL file every 24hours.

this seems to match this bug:

However it does not mention if 12.4(6)T5 is affected, only that it was found in 12.4(15)T3 and resolved in 12.4(15)T10 and other more recent releases.
I would suggest trying the latest 12.4(15)Tx, 15.0(1)Mx or 15.1(4)Mx release if you can.
I supposed you've though of it, but just in case: as a workaround you can disable the CRL check on all the DMVPN routers, obviously they will still allow connections from routers with a revoked spoke.
As a (temporary?) replacement for a CRL, you could use a "certificate ACL" with which you can kind of create a "manual local CRL" :
crypto pki certificate map certACL 10
   serial-number ne
   serial-number ne
   etc.
crypto pki trustpoint myTP
   match certificate certACL
(note the "ne" stands for "not equal" so you are permitting any certificate whose serial number is not listed)
Obviously you would have to configure (and maintain!) this on each router participating in the DMVPN so this is cumbersome, but I suppose if you don't often revoke certs it might be an option.

That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly. Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled. I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned. Sorry this happened the way it did. Definitely not efficient.

Hello I am using a Windows Computer running Vista with ITUNES 10.6. I am trying to update my iphone 4 to iOS 5.1 with no success. It keeps giving me messages like " the network connection could not be established", but my network is perfectly running. I also tried updating from the phone it self but that has not worked either. Any one else have this problem.? Do you think its just from a Server overload?

I have previously bout about 30-40 apps from the app store. After a recent update to the newest version of iOS (and a reset back to factory standards), i find that i cant put any of the apps from my iTunes library, back onto my phone!? When i try, it says that the apps location cant be found!? I tried going into the app store and in the app section going into 'Purchaces', in the hope that i could just re-install them from there (because i have already paid for them), but in there, it tells me that there are NO apps in my purchaces list!? This is quite concerning because i have spent quite a bit of money on these apps, that now seem to be un-usable?! Ican still put all my music on my phone through iTunes liuke normal, but Podcasts are doing the same thing as the apps?! Can someone please help me, or suggest what to do because im really getting frustrated. I really like my iPhone, but if this is what is going to keep happening, i think ill change to an Android phone. . . . .

Got it sorted though. Seems that Apple has issues with multiple apple id's.
Seems i had to somehow remember and use the original id i had when i first bought my 1st iPhone. . . .
Even after that it was extremely hard to get my apps back on my PC.

Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

Why can't I update/ download apps from the app store after upgrading to iOS 7.0.3?

I have an iphone 5 and updated my phone to the lastest version (ios 7.0.3) last night. I can't download/ update any apps from the app store using my cellular network. The only error message is that the app cant be downloaded at this time. As soon as I click the download button, the image of the icon shows up with "Waiting" underneath the icon. I tried tapping on the app icon to pause the download but that isn't working. I have disabled Wi-Fi setting and enabled"the use cellular data" option in the itunes and app store setting page. Memory is not an issue because I have a lot of memory available. In the cellular setting page the App Store is enabled to use cellular data. It seems like it is a setting issue. What can be done to fix this problem

Thanks for your suggestion. Not long ago before I saw your response I tried to download the app and I seemed to have some progress (I had 5 bars and 1x). It looked it was 3/4 of the download complete only to have the same error message.
Since then I reset the phone and I have tried downloading the app when there 5 bars with 3g. Every time the icon has waiting underneath it and I get the same error message.

Besides ever since I updated my phone iOS it has started misbehaving, quite irritably at times. Dropped calls, slow typing, apps open very slowly, apps cannot be updated with prompts coming up like, this app cannot be updated now, please try again. I had to delete quite a few apps and reinstall them again. I had a trouble free experience with this phone till now, but is apple losing its magic.
