Software update phone does not reboot

I seem to have a similar problem like the one Crash brought up, my phone is not rebooting and I cannot connect it to my pc to reinstall the update, has someone solved this issue, without going to nokia care center ?
I disconnected the battery and put it back in, the screen is just lighted and the main key for functions beeps....
Any word of advice?

Software Update option is only available if you have IOS 5 or above.
Your iPhone 3G IOS 4.2.1 is the end of line, there's no more update for this model.

Software Update- it does not find an update for iWork '09 and '08

I had a hard drive crash and after a trip to the Genius bar to fix and restore it, I have to reinstall all my software. Among that list of things is iWork '09 and '08. They are listed appropriately within the Applications folder, but no matter how many times I run Software Update- it does not find an update for either suite. I'm running 10.6.8 on a 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo MBP from 2009. Any idea why this is happening? I need my full functionality back as I need to be able to open and create/edit .doc and .docx files.

The latest versions of the iWork '08 apps are x.0.3. The latest of iWork '09 is 9.3 although you don't need higher than 9.0.4 for Snow Leopard. If you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work. The same applies for iWork '08.
You can also download the standalone updater for iWork '09, 9.3, from this page.

My iPhone software update server does not recognize phone

iTunes does not recognize my iPhone now after I had a time out on PC after hours of doing an update on my 5i . Reboot my PC log on to iTunes again it stated I need to restore device . iPhone is frozen with an icon of a power cord attached to the word iTunes. What can I do now if iTunes doesn't recognize my 5i?

Try and force iPhone into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to step 3 very closely.

I"m trying to update my OS to 10.8.4 but when I click on Apple > software update, nothing happens. How do I fix this problem or is there another way to look for software updates? Thanks!

Download and install 10.8.4 Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo). Before you install be sure to do the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

The specified 2 GB minimum is barely adequate for either Lion or ML. They will run in 2 GB but you may not like its performance. 4 GB is a more realistic minimum.

Mac OS X Lion Software Update service does not reflect 10.7.1 update

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard server to 10.7.
Everything went ok, and the server tools are installed and working.
Last week, Apple released the 10.7.1 update, but this update is not reflected in the Lion Server's Software Update service.
Every time I start the catalog sync (either in the Server Admin app, or through Terminal), the sync process completes correctly without any errors, but the latest 10.7.1 update is not listed in the available updates.
Did I miss something there ?

I followed KBase art HT4771, and made the following changes:
1. Stopped the Software Update Service and quit Server Admin app
2. Updated /etc/swupd/swupd.plist to begin hosting OS X Lion software updates by typing the following Terminal command:
sudo /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c 'add :otherCatalogs:2 string index-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog' /etc/swupd/swupd.plist
3. Updated /etc/swupd/swupd.conf to allow OS X Lion computers to receive updates as follows:
     "RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} Darwin/11
     RewriteRule ^/index\.sucatalog$ /index-leopard-snowleopard.merged-1.sucatalog"
became
     "RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} Darwin/11
     RewriteRule ^/index\.sucatalog$ /index-lion-snowleopard-leopard.merged-1.sucatalog"
After completing this and restarted the Software Update Service, the Server's Software Update Service could find all updates, including Mac OS X 10.7.1 and more Lion updates (Multi-lingual voices, Server Essentials, ... ).
The issue is now that the client computers cannot find the Software Update server, though it is properly connected, regardless the selected catalog in /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.
I am now considering to erase all updates from server, delete all config files, and restart service from scratch.
Any other idea before I start the big deletion ?

I can not locate the system software upgrade option on my IPad 4.

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

How do I get rid of App Store notification for a software update that does not conform to the OS that I am using?

I am using Snow Leopard and have no wish to upgrade to Lion. App Store notification indicates that there is an iPhoto 11 update available. When I try to update, the error message indicates that I need Lion to download the update. The notification red circle with the one in it sits attached to the App Store icon and will not go away.
I know that Apple knows that I'm on Snow Leopard, so why bother sending me and update notification that is irrelevant to me.
Any solutions to getting rid of the red circle on the App Store icon?

I have always been able to connect my Ipad to the tv with the HDMI adapter but since most recent software update it does not work. Is it me or has others expeirenced this?

I have tried to stream movies and live TV using my HDMI adapter and cable . I have always had it work but with the most recent update it no longer will connect. I hope someone has a good solution.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Don't worry 6124 Classic mobile users. Nokia has not yet release any new upgrade for this mobile so NSU giving you that message. Once new upgrade will available via NSU you have to download new version of NSU at that time. So wait and check "Can I update?" link in Nokia website for new firmware upgrade release information.
